In terms of planning, they were highly responsive and had a great, easy-to-use online portal to book and pay for the event. Due to traffic we ended up arriving to the event late, but Nick at Elixir was very understanding and accommodating. We did the 2 hour mixology course, which included making 4 drinks (including mocktails for our non-drinking teammate). Overall the experience was beyond my expectations. Nick was extremely knowledgeable, and compared to other similar activities I've done did an exceptional job of educating us on theory, alternatives, and just general approach to making drinks in a way that landed super well. My entire team was blown away by how much we learned, and had fun in doing so. Plus, extremely well-made and tasty drinks. Two hour mixology class with Robert. Our group of 10 had a great time learning all about the different types of liquor - Robert's a pro! And then we got to make 4 delicious cocktails. I'm amazing how so few ingredients can taste so delicious - it's all about fresh ingredients and quality liquor. Loved it! Holy cow, H and Elixir To Go are THE HARDEST WORKING BARTENDERS IN THE WORLD! We had a wedding of 70+ people, a majority of whom are cocktail enthusiasts, and H. not only crafted a menu that our guests loved, they KILLED IT on our wedding day by providing amazing service and consistently good drinks all night long. We had guests coming up to us letting us know how amazing the bartenders and the drinks were, and that, hands down, these were the best drinks they've ever had at a wedding. When planning a cocktail class for a group of eager beverage enthusiasts, the first place Anchor Distilling thought to start was Elixir. H. was so easy to work with and made planning the event a breeze. The mixologist who came to teach our class, Brian, came prepared with talking points about the Anchor products used in the cocktails as well as a breadth of knowledge about the history of the spirits and the cocktails being created. Excellent! I would give exponential stars if I could. Recently, I organized an event for the swearing-in ceremony for a judge with 250 attendees and I searched all over to find a bar-tending service. After being introduced to H., and his team there was no question that my event would be a success. They are professional, punctual, hassle-free and capable of handling anything that could go haywire during such an event...and with them, nothing did. The bar team rocked it, the set up was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and I have been receiving an overwhelming amount of compliments about their service. After the event I was expecting to stay through the night and clean up, etc. and they insisted that I go and get a good nights sleep "they would take care of it" and they did. I must mention the quality of the liquor, too--we had some of the coolest cocktails that I've ever seen at a party and they used very interesting brands such a Snow Leopard Vodka, Macallan Scotch, Brugal Rum and some others. I arranged this as the second half of our company Christmas party (we first went on a fantastic food tour of the Mission). Perhaps it was because the first bit was so great, but this fell very flat. The class for 8 wasn't in the bar itself but a very cramped, questionably clean, back room. The "welcome drink" was a very strong, very small punch (shot?). Then we were bored by an hour-long, rambling history of spirits with no drinks in our hands. Then the teacher made two Manhattans that we shared, we each made our own margarita, then split into pairs to make cocktails as part of a competition, which wasn't introduced very well, it was just a free-for-all of "here's what we have. Get after it..." All in all, the experience was not engaging and not good value for money for our group. read more

I took my team to Elixir for a mixology team offsite. It was so much fun! We learned to make 4 different and popular cocktails including martini, manhattan, mojito and margarita (and got to enjoy our fruit of labor, obviously). We recently hired H. and Elixir To Go for a mixology team build for a newly formed leadership team at our recent off-site meeting. H delivered an engaging educational course on cocktail history, science, business, and of course hands-on practice crafting our own cocktails.
