Given that my baby is not yet sitting up independently (she's 5 months old and still floppy), I would have preferred guidance that was more tailored to her developmental readiness, along with an explanation of the evidence behind these recommendations. One of the reasons we chose this practice was because the website states that they work collaboratively with families regarding certain healthcare topics. Unfortunately, that was not our experience during this visit with Mike. Rather than feeling that our questions were explored through a collaborative discussion, we felt that there was limited opportunity for dialogue. I value providers who explain the reasoning behind their recommendations, discuss the available evidence, and partner with families to make informed decisions. Instead, we were charged a $50 fee, which they refused to waive, even after we explained the situation. We understand the importance of timeliness, but a bit of grace would have gone a long way, especially for new families trying to find the right care team. During my appointment, Mrs. Brar showed genuine concern as she gently pointed out that I was long overdue for several routine screenings and preventive care items. I became overwhelmed and started to weep, and she immediately stepped away from her computer to comfort me. Her compassion felt sincere, and I could tell she truly cares about reminding the mothers in her care to prioritize themselves, too. I have never experienced that level of attentiveness from a medical professional. She made me feel seen, valued, and cared for - not like just another number. Shortly before, my appointment was cancelled as she wasn't going to be in the office. I was then rescheduled for the following spring! After calling multiple times I was finally rescheduled for an earlier date. That appointment also got cancelled. Again I got rescheduled and ended up seeing another person in practice. When I finally had my appointment I was told that NP Hamilton was the only person in the office that dealt with my issue, so I was scheduled for another appointment with her months later. When I finally arrived to this appointment (the first of the day) I was kept waiting for 45 minutes and told she was with other patients. This wasn't true as I had walked past her office several times and she was sitting on the computer. I finally had enough and just left without seeing her. I've been a patient of this practice and Wendy Hamilton for a few years and since it's such a pain to change practices I never bothered to make the effort despite her treatment being just average. It's incredibly frustrating (and disrespectful of my health and time) to have wasted the past 9 months waiting for this appointment that she didn't even have the courtesy to show up to on time.

She listened carefully and always respected my decisions. I had planned to have an elective C-section on my due date, but as fate would have it, I went into labor the day before--and by a stroke of luck, she happened to be on call when I was admitted. That led to a beautiful, unplanned vaginal birth, and I couldn't have been happier. During delivery, Dr. Elledge was calm and patient. She allowed me time for skin-to-skin contact while my baby's cord turned white before cutting it and carefully proceeded with suturing. I never felt rushed--only deeply cared for. Her gentle, meticulous approach made me feel incredibly supported and safe in one of the most profound moments of my life. Seeing her again in the Mother Baby Unit brought me so much comfort. She always made me feel welcomed and ensured I had all the information I needed. In a time when there's so much conflicting advice online, I'm grateful I trusted my instincts and followed her guidance from the start. While I had a birth plan drafted from the Torrance Memorial website, my main goal was always for both my baby and me to be healthy--and I trusted her medical judgment completely. I will forever be grateful for the beautiful first birth experience I had with Dr. Elledge and the amazing L&D staff.

She was incredibly rude, rushed me through the phone call and gave me a ton of unsolicited attitude. Her tone was very inpatient and like I was wasting her time. When I had questions she kept saying "them" or "they can help you" and at one point she answered a question and said "okay? Have a good day" and hung up in the middle of the call. I had a follow up question before that and called back and got her again and I said I had additional questions to better understand and I asked who "they" and "their" was and she said this was a third party line and not the dr office. I told her I didn't know that, and there was no reason for her to give me so much attitude and hang up on me I still had questions about making an appointment. For that experience alone, I was ready to try a new doctor. I have since read other reviews and am nervous to see this doctor and will provide an update after my appointment.

She spent a lot of time with me just talking and was great during the swabs. I wish more doctors would spend time with you the way she did. I feel truly taken advantage of financially. I was in for a few appointments this year and each…read moretime Dr Salvado used a scope in her exam room to inspect my throat, and to inspect my sinuses. Each time the probe part of the examination lasted 30 seconds, with photos to examine the result. i had no idea that when a few months later my insurance company sent me an invoice for what I had to pay, those 30 second scopes were $360 each for the throat, and $500 for the sinuses. I had no idea such simple exams would cost so much - to be clear in addition to consultation charge. I assumed that these were so quick and simple that they were just part of the consultation. Salvado did not bother to tell me how much the scopes would cost, she just went ahead and did them each time with no regard for the cost to me, the patient. Money doesn't grow on trees, even with insurance, and co-pay is such a large percentage. Such arrogance and lack of regard for other peoples' money.
