Until this situation, I had nothing negative to say about the practice, which is exactly why this experience has been so disappointing. My mother, who was visiting from Europe and had never been a patient at this practice before, became ill. I called the office hoping to schedule a same-day appointment for her, but was told there were no openings, so I booked the next available appointment on her behalf. Her condition then worsened, and I had to take her to another doctor for urgent medical care. Given the circumstances and the need to focus on obtaining medical treatment, the appointment at Dr. Zadeh's office was unfortunately not canceled in time. What happened afterward shocked me. A $500 charge appeared on my credit card. When I scheduled the appointment by phone, I was never informed that there would be a $500 cancellation/no-show fee, nor was any specific cancellation fee disclosed to me. This was particularly concerning because the appointment was for my mother, who would have been a brand-new patient and had never previously visited the practice, completed any intake paperwork, signed any financial or cancellation policy, or agreed to any such fee. When I disputed the charge with credit card company, the office responded by citing a signature they had on file from me. However, that signature came from a patient intake form that I had completed and signed specifically for my own treatment as a patient of the practice. It was not completed or signed on behalf of my mother and had nothing to do with her appointment. My mother had never been a patient at this practice, had never completed or signed any patient intake paperwork, and had never agreed to a cancellation policy with this office. I also tried to resolve this directly with the office. Unfortunately, I found the secretary I spoke with to be extremely unhelpful and hostile toward my concerns. Rather than acknowledging why I was questioning a $500 charge that had never been disclosed to me, there seemed to be no willingness to discuss the circumstances or consider any reasonable compromise. I specifically asked to speak with Dr. Zadeh and was told that he would personally call me back. I never received that call. I cannot know whether my concerns were ever communicated to him directly, but I was left without any meaningful opportunity to discuss the situation with him. I want to be fair: I understand that missed appointments inconvenience a medical practice, and I accept responsibility for forgetting to cancel. I would have had no issue paying a reasonable cancellation fee of $100-$200. But charging $500 -- the full cost of an appointment that never took place -- when that amount was never disclosed to me beforehand is something I cannot consider reasonable. I have never written a negative review before, and I genuinely do not enjoy writing this one. Two months later, I am still disappointed by how this situation was handled, particularly after having been a patient of this practice for several years and consistently paying out of pocket. If you are considering becoming a patient here, I strongly recommend asking for all cancellation and payment policies, including the exact fees, in writing before providing your payment information.

Through life in any experience with a man or woman of medicine you seek out the doctor that will…read moreexpertly take care of your medical disease or malady. You want the pain the anxiety related to the pain gone. You need the doctor to free you to continue on with wherever your life's path takes you. Now I consider that the mechanical side of medicine. For a doctor who is a surgeon he knows what has to be done comes into surgery with his medical tools some of which look frightening , and precedes to do the best he can do to fix , to bring about the best results for the patients situation. For a lot of doctors in my long term experience in the surgical arena that's where it all ends . Dr solved the problem case closed . Follow up office visit soon. But there is another side of the coin, one that used to be called a doctors bed side manner. How quaint a term of the past but on this day and age a more meaningful word , rather powerful word would be compassion. An entire phrase not needed just the word compassion . A lot of doctors are great at the mechanics of the surgery but don't have one iota of the idea behind the importance of compassion. Now I don't know of the percentage of doctors with compassion in their souls but I have met such a man , enter Dr Michael Ghiam in this review I will list briefly his academic and medical history he is an otolaryngology/Rhinology quite a ear nose throat mouth full doctor working at ENT Group of LA in my home town Tarzana. His specialty anything from the neck up throat head neck sinus nose allergy and medical schools Vanderbilt U of Miami Cornell Columbia and others too numerous to mention honing his medical skills to perfection. But I believe he received the other side of the coin compassion from the innate ability to feel what his patients feel before during and after surgery their desire to feel cared for. My Lovley lady expressed this to me after her 5 and a half hour surgery called an Endoscopic Posterior nasal neurectomy wow another tongue twister not a simple surgery at hand another surgeon Dr Sarkiss there to assist if needed . The final result of the surgery was a huge success I state outright after 19 doctors failed to find the solution to my Lady's dilemma drGhiam solved it .Way too complicated to explain this in medical terms my wife had extreme nasal unstoppable nasal drip for seven years her life was in misery for this malady Vasomotor rhinitis I believe was the result of a car crash 7 years ago that made a considerable damaged sinus area Dr that needed a resection and block. Yes mechanics and dr expertise made the day but it was the compassionate side of the coin from the beginning that saved the day. Dr Ghiam speaking softly to her and explaining everything thorough. His persistence In making sure she had the necessary pain medication in timely manner and making sure she always knew what was going on all with the soft easy going presence of a caring doctor was a god send Also in a tip to those of need of an ENT please check out Dr Ghiam service non compared As in a previous review accolades galore for the wonderful Tarzana hospital a tribute to my home town Tarzana

But the insurance and billing issues I've had since that appointment have given me many headaches. Their billing department said my insurance had lapsed, which it did not, and I also didn't have that issue when I was at urgent care the day prior and my gyno the next week, plus it was only an issue for 1 of my 3 visits with Dr. Finerman. So I don't think they put much of an effort to work with insurance companies. When I called their office to dispute, they told me to call their billing department, which is a voicemail-only service where you leave a message describing the issue and then THEY will call YOU back. I called multiple times and did not receive a call back, and I thought perhaps they resolved the issue with the insurance company since my calls weren't being returned. Nope, it was sent to bill collection, which was a scary first for me. The bill collector representative was helpful and worked with their billing department, and they understood the problem. I thought they resolved the issue (I had called to confirm but again never received any calls back). Nope! Fast forward to over 2 years later, and I received a bill collection notice from the same bill collector. In the 2 years since I last saw Dr. Finerman, I got a new job and thus new insurance and can no longer dispute their claim, so I had to eat the cost. A very disappointing billing experience that I hope they take seriously and that I hope new patients will stay vigilant about.

I traveled from out of town to see Dr. Larian after consulting with two other doctors in my area who did not impress me with their knowledge or recommendations. From the moment I met Dr. Larian, I was immediately impressed by his bedside manner, friendliness, and professionalism. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition, discuss his recommendations, and review possible outcomes. He answered all of my questions with patience and respect, and by the end of the consultation, I knew without hesitation that he was the right provider for me. His credentials and experience certainly speak for themselves as well. Following surgery, my recovery was more challenging than expected, and I encountered some unforeseen issues. Throughout this difficult time, Dr. Larian was incredibly supportive and attentive. He stayed in close contact, monitored my progress, and continued to support me until everything was fully resolved. That level of care and commitment truly meant a great deal to me. Today, I am fully recovered and extremely grateful to Dr. Larian for the excellent care he provided. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, skilled, and genuinely kind physician. I would not hesitate to see him again if ever needed. Thank you so much Dr. Larian!
