I've had physical exam's before, so I'm familiar with what it consist of. She did not do a head-to-toe examination. She did not check my ears, nose, throat or eyes. Constantly minimizing her symptoms and fears in her final years. Advising over-the-counter remedies, change in diet, etc., never taking her symptoms seriously or ordering the proper tests/scans that could have prevented so much suffering. I'm young and stumbled across some growing thyroid nodules that my drs and I have been monitoring for years- it's been such a hassle to find a good endocrine dr.... my last one told me to leave and he couldn't help me. My mom just had her thyroid removed so I really felt the need to monitor mine. After my last Ultrasound I was in a panic thinking the worst.....I called so many and finally stumbled across dr Olsen- they were able to get me in way sooner than thought. Him and his nurse were ON it.... he literally showed up with my records I sent them the day before and had notes on everything. He sat down with me and ACTUALLY listened, was not rushed at all and took his time to answer my huge list of questions, reassure me on the workings of a thyroid and even took me to a mirror and showed me what he saw.... for peace of mind he had me get an fna- Who was done by another incredible referral.
