Let me say the night I came (Friday), this place was busy. They did have a bunch of staff and we're turning the food out quickly. I ordered Stromboli, pizza and a cheesesteak sandwich. The Stromboli wasn't rolled and was more like a long calzone. It also had a 75/25 ratio of cheese to topping that left me a bit disappointed. The cheese also seemed to lack flavor. It was more like the glue holding things together. My pizza was alright. The crust is thin (they have other options) and kind of floppy lacking any structure. I will say...the pizza reheated well and actually seemed to taste better the next day. I'm the last person to judge a cheesesteak (being from Colorado), but I actually probably liked this the best. I could do without the soggy lettuce, but it was very full, tender and cheesy. I surprisingly didn't pay much for all this food - about $35. I took pictures of everything because the reviews seemed to lack them. read more

The chicken parmesan is delicious, especially if you ask for less sauce and extra cheese, which they're happy to provide. It comes with Alfredo noodles, a side salad and garlic bread. Best pizza in Martinsville but that's not really saying much. New York style. Calzones are fair.. a bit skimpy but ok.

My go to comfort food. They give you so much in one portion and I think prices are super reasonable. Food can tend to be pretty greasy, but I just overlook that because it's SO good! This one is better than the one in Collinsville and I haven't been to the one in Patrick County so I'm not sure about that one. All I know is, you ask anyone from this side of Henry county what they're having for dinner and a lot of times you'll hear "Elizabeth's". Lol read more

As someone who grew up in Pennsylvania living off of cheese steaks, I can honestly say that Elizabeth's gets it as close to perfect as anywhere I have been! As another reviewer has said, the pizza is pretty good (especially the sauce) but it's been awhile since I've eaten it, because I always make sure I have plenty of room for a 12" overflowing with steak & provolone! Occasionally I will go with the deliciously over stuffed calzone or steak stromboli. The kids can't seem to get enough of their large slices though! They also have Spaghetti, Salads, Manicotti, Lasagna, Eggplant Parmigiana, everything being homemade and fresh! Last night I called in my order to not have to wait. When I got into the establishment and finally waited on I learned that my order wasn't prepared. I was questioned if I ordered from that location and was I sure I ordered from there. Only to find out that my order ticket had been dropped and the order wasn't created. After the server laughed at my finding my ticket on the floor he proceeds to tell me that I can wait and they would prepare my order as soon as possible. No thanks was my response. What's the point in calling in your order if it's lost by the establishment with 15 minutes. As well as questioning my intelligence with calling the correct location. I was super duper pissed with my experience last night. Totally disappointed in the customer service and lack of concern. They wanted to shift the blame to the customer. Went to see family in Martinsville, VA. My husband grew up on Elizabeth's, so we both got a cheesesteak, it was so worth it! We loved it, a little greasy but not overwhelmingly so, it was delicious. The speed of service was very fast as well! The fries could have used some salt, but that's not too big a deal since we had ketchup. It's definitely worth stopping by and trying it out! read more
