We were seated right away and all the staff from start to finish were friendly and responsive. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, my husband the French toast and a side of bacon. We chose to share a cinnamon roll. The pancakes were two, very large (bigger than the plate!) pancakes with whole berries in them, topped with a large scoop of fresh, thick whipped cream, topped with more blueberries. Served with a side of maple syrup. Absolutely delicious! I could taste the lemony flavor with the first bite. Not overwhelming, but nicely flavored. 10/10 would order again. My husband's French toast was outstanding- also accompanied by a large scoop of the whipped cream, fresh mixed berries and maple syrup. He doesn't normally order French toast, but he loved this dish here. The side of bacon was a delightful surprise - it was crisp and slightly candied and utterly delicious. 10/10 would order again. The only disappointment was the cinnamon roll. It was served cold, a bit tough (maybe the dough was over-worked?), a little dry and not as cinnamony-sugary-buttery as one would expect. The cream cheese icing was lovely, but not enough to make this roll a winner. Overall a great experience though and we will be back!

Every surface is grimy to the touch. Food and trash under every table despite it being middle of the afternoon and during a slow time. Several employees rushing around, never really standing still but yet a lot not getting done. Usually during slow times the tables are being wiped down, floors swept, and silverware rolled. As there was approximately one employee per table in the dining room, I can't say they were overworked. Our waiter was very rushed, although he only had the two tables. He was helping carry out food and drinks for the other waitresses, so he never slowed down moving. This also meant that he left before taking our complete order, never asked what dressings or sides we wanted with our dinners, and never answered our questions. I got the ribs and wanted the sweet BBQ but got the Asian sauce instead. I got a whole 6 fries for my side and a tiny sauce cup of coleslaw that ended up being soured. When I told our waiter, he just grabbed the cup and said "yeah sorry" as he walked away. The ribs were actually pretty meaty, just a bit dry which is to be expected at that time of day, just disappointing when added to the wrong sauce. The one good bit of the meal was the tea was excellent. Not overbrewed and with plenty of sugar to satisfy any southern grandma. For roughly $35 a person, very overpriced, overrated, and disappointing.

They have all closed or at least shut down the grill. Growing up in Martinsville there were other options and I never had to go to Ridgeway for this but now that I live in NC, I stop here nearly every time I go back home. They have hotdogs (the old style with Jesse Jones type red weenies), burgers, salads and much more not to mention all the sides like fries, onion rings, and hush puppies. I've never had anything here I didn't like. Plenty of beverages to choose from but I prefer the Pepsi fountain unit. There is also a sitting area incase you decide to eat there and not in your car. The staff is always nice and accommodating. Growing up I remember getting three dogs for $.99. That's no longer the case but I still love those dogs! Stop in and give them a try the next time you're driving down 220 in Ridgeway.
