I get my nails done here by Chi, sooo high quality. She's incredibly talented, and the shop itself is really nice.

It had been a long time since I had a pedicure and manicure and I enjoyed the chairs and options for the pedicure. The person working on me... I think her name was Pam sat next to another person named "Amy" - for some time they snickered and sneered at each other and of course spoke in a foreign language. It was actually kiind of unpleasant. I realize they have a right to enjoy work and have a good time but it felt a bit off and rude. I tried to enjoy the pedicure. She kept pushing gel but I did not want it. When I got to the manicure it was Amy and she pushed gel and I had never done it so I thought I would try it. It actually felt thick and kind of uncomfortable but I was hoping to have a nice try at keeping it for at least two weeks. The next day it began to chip on two nails at the very tip. Then by the seventh day whole chunks just peeled off... flaked up. It was uncomfortable and disappointing. I decided I did not want to do get again and I did not want to drive a half an hour to go get them redone. So after a $22 tip and the price of mani/pedi I felt pretty discouraged for my investment and time and gas. I called and spoke with the man whom I believe is the owner. He would not tell me his name. I asked for a refund after explaining my nails chipped and peeled so soon. He was very rude and condescending and wanted me to come in but I did not want to go back there and the ladies were kind of unpleasant. Fake. Upselling! He thought I wanted a full refund but only the NAILS and he still said he could not refund my card. Wanted my ADDRESS to mail me a CHECK. I told him NO. Since he was so rude... not giving out my address. He said really snarky stuff like... "Have you ever had a manicure?". I assured him at 70 years of age... yes I have. I told him I was really upset and I let him know why I was upset. He told me to adjust my meds and then hung up on me. Really inappropriate and the level of condescending lack of gratitude was embarrasing. Clearly they are busy and he does not have the integrity to stand by his workers, products or customers. RUDE. I went to my credit card and filed a dispute just asking for a portion of the service fee back to me. They can keep the $22.00 tip that they did not EARN. I'll add photos soon!

I saw their ad online and saw they were new so I wanted to try the out. Finding it is slightly hidden though it is next to a Kumon and pedatrics so parking isn't too bad. It's a modern chic minimalist vibe kind of shop with plenty of tv and clean tables and chairs for all. I felt like it was a clean environment and spacious so it wasn't like a cattle ranch, herding all the people you can cram into one space. Clean smell and everyone was so nice! Come here with a friend or two or three as there are plenty of chairs and room. The pedicure I received - Jade was well worth it and it's not even the top of the line. I felt like the quality of top of the line since Kayla did an amazing job with giving my feet a wonderful and relaxing experience. The chair was new since the remote didn't seem so peeled up and it worked! I appreciated the check in and clear instruction. Also I picked a polish that didn't show up too well and we made sure I was on the same page for what I wanted. You can tell they want to give you a quality pedi! I wasn't even the one bringing it up either so I appreciated that. Easy payment and I was on my way out in 1.25 hours. I wanted that attention to detail and care so I was happy! if you're in a rush I am sure they can meet your expectations. Sadly I didn't take any photos, but their IG page and online site, could provide a better preview! I mean i really liked the place that I forgot photos so come visit yourself. Overall, beautiful decor, chill vibes, excellent pedicure, easy experience. I loved it! I would highly recommend this place to try out!

Jaynee Studer For…read morethe past seventy - four years, I have been getting my hair cut about every five to six weeks. In that number of years, I have been to many barbers and stylists. The reason I am writing this review is to say that Jaynee Studer at Sakada is the best stylist I have ever had. I have been going to her for over two and one - half years and she is superb in every respect. She is an exceptional stylist and has found a way to cut my hair (with all of its cowlicks) so that it always looks very nice when she is finished. For over ten years, I went to a stylist at another salon and, after ten years, she could never even remember on which side I parted my hair! Jaynee is exceptional in her techniques and I would recommend her highly to anyone who is looking for a stylist. Besides being excellent at her profession, Jaynee is also very friendly and personable and a good person with whom to have a conversation. I always look forward to my appointments with her.

I went to Sakada at the beginning of the new year, had a nice Balayage, and cut with one of the…read morestylists there. I returned to get a nice new look for date night; unfortunately, I had horrible service this time around. I did bring in a reference photo for inspiration. I was open to talking about colors if there was a need to. I was a golden blonde on the parts that were balayage from last time. After some discussion, Melia asked if I looked like the reference photo and if I would be happy. I said yes. The service started fine, but she didn't get a lift from my hair. She said she feared damage, but I don't know why she didn't do a strand test if that was the case. Either way, she went through it again, and this time, it lifted very yellow. I was pretty concerned when she was drying it and not noticing that it needed some correction. She kept saying there were light issues, but being next to a big window, I didn't feel that was the case. I asked her if we could put some toner or something to help it. She did this, but it left blue spots in my hair, and I felt my blonde pieces were inconsistent in tone and application. She styled me before I really had a chance to look it over and as we were over time she had me pay her. She gave me her card and kind of awkwardly said if I needed anything to contact her. When I got home, I looked at my hair closer, but it didn't look good. I went to straighten it to get a better look at the issues; it was apparent that this was a bad outcome. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of honesty. I understand mistakes happen, but professionals note when things don't turn out well and schedule customers for a fix before leaving. I sent my photo to get an opinion and was advised this would need some big color correction. I do believe in giving people another shot if I think they can do it. However, I already made many comments of concern about the color to which I felt wasn't validated when it should have been. I also didn't feel we had enough trust if she let me walk out looking this way. My hair already went through a lot and I don't have the confidence that she has a solution to get me where I want. I did ask for a refund as I would need to pay for a corrective service. It's one thing if this was about a matter of taste, but this was technically a bad job. In a text, she said she didn't do refunds and would do a corrective treatment followed by recommendations of foils. I don't want foils; I want blended pieces. Right now, I have harsh lines in my hair that shouldn't be there. There was back and forth about whether she thought this was a good outcome and about consistency/patterns. I have had multiple balayages over the years, and I know what is expected, so it was pointless to argue further. At this point, I think the pictures speak for themselves. It sucks when things go wrong, but I would have hoped that it would have been acknowledged at the time of the appointment or at least in the end. I did get my tip back after I sent pictures to push my point further, but this experience was beyond disappointing. Lessons I learned: 1) These people are independent contractors, which means their work is not guaranteed. Make sure you discuss bad results and alternative solutions if they are not nailing the look they promised. A good stylist stands behind their work and cares about your happiness. If you have any doubt, go somewhere else. 2) Be your own advocate. If you are too shy to say something, go somewhere else that has a manager in charge. 3) Always tell them to do a test strand if they have any concerns about lifting or hair integrity. It's better to do a test than doing a service again and running out of time. 4) If you are in doubt, ask another stylist in the salon to come over and give feedback. That way, you will know if your concerns are valid.

It's a lopsided color. The pieces in front don't go up enough and aren't balanced. I have chunky money pieces in the back. yellow blonde.
