From the cute shop in the entrance to the awesome customer service, Everyone there is very kind and helped me figure out just what I wanted to get done. Mercedes did a wonderful job walking me through what was going to happen and she is just a lovely person to sit with for the time it takes. Watch out for credit card fees!! I will not be returning to this salon since it has made the decision to charge an addition 1.75% for using a credit card. This is tacky. The charges, which are a cost of doing business, should be part of the base price. read more

I was quoted a price online for specific services , then I was upcharged from $50.00 to $80.00 for my haircut ( with no extra service) . After the haircut I had spa services which were quoted to me as $70.00 and 30.00 for pedicure and brow colour, but I was charged $135.00 with no extra services! When I inquired about the prices a manager came out to tell me the price I was charged was what I had to pay and shrugged his shoulders. Both my stylist and pedicurist did a fantastic job but I should have been charged the prices quoted to me and this is very dishonest "bait- and -switch" tactic and unfortunately I will not return to a Simonson's Salon and my other internet reviews will reflect the poor quality and dishonesty of the way you do business. I might add that from 1:00 to 3:00 pm there were only 3 other clients in the whole salon which makes me wonder if there are many unsatisfied customers who won't be returning. read more

I scheduled my wife an appointment here and she had a nice experience and wants to go back! The online booking process felt a little bit clunky, and it is a bit strange that you can't actually pay online. Even if you put card information in, they will still want payment in-person. Other than that their system works nicely, email and text reminders were timely and very helpful. read more

I want to point out there is a customer service difference between the Maple Grove vs Plymouth locations. Maple Grove is always friendly and helpful, even in the times I've only ran in to only purchase shampoo. The Plymouth location it is noticeably a different vibe. The 3 times I've visited Plymouth I walked away feeling like I was an inconvenience or a disruption to the front desk staff. My first visit was for a massage and the impression was one of "I just want to get this lady done so I can go home". I know I was the last appt on a Friday, but as a customer I shouldn't be able to notice that. If that person wanted to go home, I would have rather be called and rescheduled. That massage was a gift for my birthday and the memory of it is disappointing. I would definitely direct you to the maple grove location for service. read more

On first glance this salon is beautifully designed and spacious. I also loved how clean it was, albeit a bit cramped in the lobby with all the extra products they had on display (including jewelry and clothes - a bit out of place for a salon compared to the usual hair products). I checked in and there weren't many places to sit but I found a seat okay. The pedicure tech brought me back to an area with 3 pedicure chairs all spaced out and separated by shower curtains. I appreciated the extra precautions they had due to covid. Additionally, the pedicure tech was very friendly and I had great conversation with her. I turned on the chair to test it out. The pedicure chairs don't really massage as well as others do - they vibrate more than massage. It didn't feel comfortable so I just turned it off. No big deal. Overall the pedicure was decent - started off with a hot tub soak (water was scalding but we quickly fixed that), scrubbing off dead skin (which shafed my big toe bone to the point that it was painful ) , exfoliation, lotion, and warm towels (also scalding). The massage at the end was okay but not the best I have had. My main issue was that the tech kept scrubbing at my big toe bone joint - not the big toe callus - in an attempt to remove dead skin that wasn't there. I felt like the tech wasn't careful. I thought it would be obvious that what she was trying to shafe off was my bone and not a callus. For this reason the skin started tearing and is now very sensitive and painful. The tech did stop when I told them it was painful but I also am surprised they didn't know they were literally shafing my skin like a cheese grater. When the pedicure was done the tech placed multiple different toe separators and didn't have me wait in the chair - they instead immediately asked me to wait in the lobby, requiring me to walk the 20 steps or so over. Usually the toe separators comes in one piece but the ones at this salon don't. Because of this, my nail polish got significantly damaged when I walked over to the lobby since the separatord shifted, even though I was quite careful. Ended up having to wait longer for the new polish they placed to dry. I did feel strange that they rushed me over to the lobby so quick instead of waiting in my chair for the polish to dry a little bit. Felt unprofessional and not as relaxing of an experience as anticipated. read more

I stopped at 4 to see if they had an opening for a massage and there was one at 5pm so I waited. A man greeted me didn't introduce himself but I seen his name was Lanier after I looked at website. I asked for a roll towel to adjust me breasts but it was still uncomfortable and he blamed it on the fact that my muscles were tight. I felt rushed. I could tell the room was dry by my sinuses and throat. I had to cough a couple of times because of it. He ignored that and didn't ask if I needed water or if I was ok to continue. The massage itself was fabulous and professionally done. His demeaner was not. When he was finished he did not say a word just washed his hands and told me to GET UP pausing and said slowly. I thought he was in a hurry to go. So I got dressed quickly and when I was leaving he spoke to me from about 20 feet away and never offered a water or asked how it was just wanted to show me where the door was. $170 later. I've had plenty of massages that were very calming and relaxing. Vibe was not professional. No namaste here read more

DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE. Buyer beware! HORRIBLE experience. HAIR IS COMPLETELY UNEVEN. Very unprofessional hair stylists who do NOT know how to cut hair. Incredibly in-experienced staff! Stylists cannot cut a straight line, nor do they recognize what a straight line looks like. Came here for the first time last Saturday for 1.5 hours and Rallie cut and messed up my hair. That was not a good impression. My hair is now DAMAGED, FALLING OFF and you cut my hair in half (more like shreds) when all I wanted was my hair to be in long layers and one length! Just a nice trim... If you lift up my hair, you will see all the flaws, the mis-alignments and now I have crazy static and the hair just keeps falling.... Had to re-schedule another appointment for a new stylist to RE-CUT my hair and spent 2 hours here with Hannah. My hair is still UNEVEN and in shreds. I was DIRECTING her the entire time, "You missed a spot. It's right here. Can you cut this? This looks un-even. It's still not straight." Had to beg her to have another stylist named Miranda (master stylist) try to correct my hair and even she couldn't see it was NOT straight. Stylists are lazy and don't care about making it right! I asked for my money back at the concierge desk and they have not returned a dime. LIARS! Yes, your receptionist told me, to my face, "YOU WILL GET A REFUND." I spoke to the manager named Miranda and it's not their policy to refund. What kind of policy is that? She even asked me to text her photos of my hair so that she can see why I don't think it is straight. I am happy to post the photos on the internet. Just give me my money back so I can go elsewhere to fix YOUR mistake! Does it really make sense for me to return THREE times for you to FIX my hair?!!!!! It should have been cut right the FIRST time. Went to Simonson's for a girl day getting Manny and petty's before our trip to Hawaii. The young ladies that helped us were very pleasant and nice. During the The petty I know sometimes I can be a difficult client because I'm ticklish. But unfortunately the young lady sanded in my foot so hard that it has left an abrasion! I've tried to get hold of the management to just let them know about it not that I am looking for anything in return but also in case it gets infected I want them to know they might want to do an accident report I don't know. But no one has responded to me I left a phone message my phone number spoke to a young lady at the desk. They have my email and I've also made comments on the corporate website contact us place and have not heard back. Granted I did that late last night so I just might need some time. Will not ever return. Updated March 1 I did receive a phone call from the manager at 6:30 yesterday evening. We had a nice conversation. But to set the record straight I did not refuse to leave my phone number , and in fact the young lady looked me up in the computer to verify my technicians name ! The stylist I went to for a blow out seemed knowledgeable and had a nice personality, explained the process all the way though. Disappointed in their products thiugh, I specifically asked if the shampoos they used contained sulfates or sulfate by-product and was told "they're color safe" not exactly an answer to my question, but sure enough after my hair was blown out I noticed a huge difference in the color of my hair, maybe these products are color safe for the typical blonde but I use pravana vivids so I am very careful with what I use on my hair. For a $50 blowout that drained my color I would have just brought my own shampoo. Also, if you rough dry the entirety of someone's hair and then simply curl it the ends will not be smooth, it is a way to get things done quicker and cover your tracks, although obviously not completely.
