Upon checking-in, I was given a map and shown where area attractions are located and given helpful information. The campground's proximity to the attractions and stores made it ideal. The gravel site was fairly level. The grounds looked well-maintained and the bathrooms are huge and clean. The bathrooms are individual units that includes the shower. There are lots of hooks and a large chair. If staying in Twin Falls again, I would definitely return.

We booked a whole week here this year just so we can enjoy the Hot Springs, full hook up camping, and tent camping. We called in May to make reservations, and the lady was quite friendly. We arrived a little bit late, and just found a parking spot to wait until they opened. When we stayed here a couple years ago it was $25 a night for full hook ups. That's right water, electric (30 amp) and sewage. The price has gone up to $35 a night. $10 a night for extra car as well as $20 for a dry camp spot. The Hot Springs/swimming pool is quite large has a slide, high dive, low dive and two Spas of varying heat. I think the hottest one was 106°F or 107°F. The average hours of this place is 10 AM to 10 PM though on certain days they don't open till noon. At the reception, they have a snack bar, pool table, a few video games, even a jukebox that plays through the whole swimming area. It is a bit rundown, but it is held me the way you like it. It's a great place for big groups and family reunions. There were 12 of us staying in a pull through campsite and there was plenty of room for all of the vehicles and three tents. We did just buy a new toy hauler, and this is the maiden voyage. It's been a great seven days.

It is clean...I hate the nasty reviews about the water being green. If you look at the water it is clear and clean, the green tint is literally the minerals that are suspended in the water, namely pyrite. They have at least two signs explaining the color of the water and the mineral build up, which I guess people don't read or believe. Whatever. Fun place for all ages.

Reason for 3 start and not 5.. the staff at the front desk was incredibly blah. She acted like she didn't want to be there and like it was a chore for her to help us. She also didn't tell us that if you save your receipt you can go to the other hot springs for free across the road. I will come back here but I would suggest having a "secret shopper" to evaluate your staff.

My entire site had the remnants of winter with tree branches, dead leaves, and mud from having no appreciable grass anywhere around my site. The site was significantly off camber so that it was difficult for me to walk around without stumbling (I'm 72). I asked the attendant for another site to which she responded that I could not be accommodated. I departed early and as I was checking out the actual Owner was behind the counter with an inept employee. I told him that I was leaving early because I couldn't endure the site. His response was to curse at me dropping several F bombs, and even a fu old man as I walked out the door. This ends my use of any KOA on the planet.

I often worry that the dryers have been dailed down so that you have to use more quarters. Not the case here! Jeans and heavy jackets will be dry before the time is up. Do nice! Okay, back to the camping. Sites accommodate small to very large RVs. Nice grass and picnic tables. We arrived on a day that the office was closed. No problem. The site map was on the door. The campground really filled up for Memorial Day weekend. So plan ahead if you are traveling during a holiday. Campground is convenient to town and all the sites. We are really enjoying our stay.

Wow. I wish there was a rating lower than one star. Sadly, there's not. I made reservations…read moremonths in advance to fish on Monday, September 16 in Stanley, Idaho, on the Salmon River. The booking agent at Picabo insured me that my guide, Zack Mayhew, would pick me up in front of my hotel, Red River Inn, in Stanley, and that he would call me the day before my trip. Zack called me at 8:30 pm the night of the 15th, and basically told me that the river was "blown out", and not enough water to fish it from a drift boat. This was a complete fabrication, as driftboats on the 16th were going down the Salmon River from my vantage point. So, if I wanted to fish on that Monday, I could get in my truck and turn around and drive back down through the valley an hour-and-and-half to rendezvous with him. This is not what I signed up for. I never received any phone calls from the management at Picabo apologizing to me. I'm under the impression they don't even guide on the Salmon River. It is too far north for them. So I was left, after driving from Bend, Oregon, to Stanley, Idaho, with no guide. I called the fly shop myself the following day and got a young man on the phone who tried to make it sound like it was my fault and I misunderstood. Really? He told me he would tell his management staff about me being stranded in Stanley, but I never heard a word back. How sad they couldn't even take the time to reach out to me. The restrooms were very nice and large. Wifi was super! It is on gravel but spaces are level. Each space had a clean outdoor grill and a nice picnic table. It's obvious the owners take pride in their park. It is close to highway and you must pay close attention to sign directions to find it easily. We did hear the highway noise but did not bother us at all. I would make another stop over if we are by here again.
