I highly recommend this RV park the host were wonderful. They went out of their way to make special accommodations for us. It's a beautiful Park with green grass and a lovely view in the evening of the Setting Sun.

DON'T bring your kids here, NOT family friendly. Host was on my case about having kids before they had even stepped out of the car. He didn't let us stay next to grandparents so he could "watch our kids." They hounded the kids for anything they did. They would talk to our kids without us there and honestly scared them. They even opened our trailer (without knocking) to tell them to be quiet. (They we're laughing playing a bored game.) We have camped the entire summer and no one has complained about our kids. We ended up leaving the campsite to play because the kids were so afraid of being yelled at again, they weren't comfortable there at all.

This was a super nice and family friendly rv park! Kind staff. Very nice place. Coming back next year!

Cute state owned park. It's close to the river and has full hook ups. The spaces are big and there's a nice little grassy area too. They have showers and toilets near by too.

The water is literally right by the RV sites . Tent camping and cabins are available too. Each site has water and power hook ups but NO sewer. There is a dump station at the entrance to the RV park though. They have nice trails through out the park. Next to the RV campgrounds is a HUGE park with playground with swings and slides . My 5yr old son loved the park. They have a cool frisbee course if your into that . The wildlife here was cool too. We saw wild otters , plenty of raccoons so make sure you lock your food up, and deers. We saw a deer practically every day. Heard coyotes at night so keep your pets under watch . Speaking of pets . You are allowed to have dogs here. My 2 dogs had a blast swimming. There was a cool dock right by our site that my son enjoyed swimming at. With a ladder connected to dock so you can do cool cannon balls lol. It had tie ups for boats and jet skis and also a jet ski ramp at the dock. There's a main dock next to this dock where boats pull and and park . They have CLEAN restrooms with super clean showers too in middle of campsites . The camp hosts here are very friendly and eager to help or give info. They also sell firewood at the camp hosts site if you need some. The person who truly made our trip fantastic and enjoyable was Mary. She is one of the most helpful and friendly person we have met on our trip. She went out of her way to make sure my family was relaxed and having a good time. Mary helped us out numerous times with different minor issues and was super nice each time. You can tell she takes pride in her job. Lake Walcott is lucky to have her. THANK YOU SO MUCH MARY FOR EVERYTHING YOU DID FOR MY FAMILY!!! We love yah ! The bugs out here is something else! Especially at night so just make sure you have PLENTY of mosquitos spray!! That's my one major advice and can give!! We definitely will be back and highly recommend Lake Walcott!!

With parking for only two vehicles located at GPS coordinates 42.664699, -114.674502, you'll almost feel like your lost as you pass the fish hatchery on a road named S 1950 E and enter a very narrow span of the roadway. But within seconds as you cross the short bridge and catch a glimpse of this stunning natural spring to your left, you'll know you're in the right place. After parking, walk on a short path toward the sound of rushing water and you'll be rewarded with a freshwater spring gushing forth from the earth out of a dozen different openings along a steep cliff in the Snake River Valley. It's the Niagara Falls of natural springs and certainly earns its name. But I wouldn't recommend a continued drive east on S 1950 E which only leads to a booth at the state park entrance where you'll pay a fee (US$7 for cars) for a very tiny greenspace and an uninspiring view of the Snake River. It isn't worth the price. Thankfully the springs are completely free and located just before the booth.

I checked the map and decided that Niagara Springs was the most convenient. The park is on a dirt road and down a pretty deep canyon. I had no trouble getting there in my sprinter van so unless you're in a big Class A, you should be fine. The spring itself is pretty darned cool. A huge force of water pushing it's way out of the rocks and then down to meet with the Snake River. The park has a circular loop of parking spaces and camping spots. It's so very peaceful that I decided to park for a bit and took a nap. Note that this is well below the surface level and you probably won't have any cell service here. We booked a whole week here this year just so we can enjoy the Hot Springs, full hook up camping, and tent camping. We called in May to make reservations, and the lady was quite friendly. We arrived a little bit late, and just found a parking spot to wait until they opened. When we stayed here a couple years ago it was $25 a night for full hook ups. That's right water, electric (30 amp) and sewage. The price has gone up to $35 a night. $10 a night for extra car as well as $20 for a dry camp spot. The Hot Springs/swimming pool is quite large has a slide, high dive, low dive and two Spas of varying heat. I think the hottest one was 106°F or 107°F. The average hours of this place is 10 AM to 10 PM though on certain days they don't open till noon. At the reception, they have a snack bar, pool table, a few video games, even a jukebox that plays through the whole swimming area. It is a bit rundown, but it is held me the way you like it. It's a great place for big groups and family reunions. There were 12 of us staying in a pull through campsite and there was plenty of room for all of the vehicles and three tents. We did just buy a new toy hauler, and this is the maiden voyage. It's been a great seven days.

It is clean...I hate the nasty reviews about the water being green. If you look at the water it is clear and clean, the green tint is literally the minerals that are suspended in the water, namely pyrite. They have at least two signs explaining the color of the water and the mineral build up, which I guess people don't read or believe. Whatever. Fun place for all ages.
