In my opinion, that's a very steep price for the quality of what you receive. The lanes are stringpin, and at one point, our lane had completely shutdown. The house balls also were limited with weights and hand sizes. The plus with the house balls though is a lot of them have two different drillings. I do like that you can get food and beverage service direct to your lane through your lane kiosk or QR code ordering. Again, the prices felt steep for what we got. Once we got to the bowling area, we were both greeted by a really aggressive, bossy, mean spirited, male employee that looked like he was in his late 50's and has salt and pepper facial hair. The second we got to the desk we felt like we were being scolded by some drill sergeant at boot camp because my husband said we wanted to bowl and he rudely responded with, "you only have about 1 hour to play because there's a party coming and you can only play two games at the most." My husband and I work so much and barely have time to enjoy ourselves and this male employee was extremely rude and we didn't appreciate the tone of voice he used and the fact he was trying to dictate how long we could stay. Employees should always speak to customers with respect and kindness because we are paying to have fun with our hard earned money and not showing up for FREE! I hope the next time we are out for a good time to bowl, we are greeted by a better employee who has great customer service skills and isn't some controlling jerk. Please take this review serious for the integrity of your business. This is a family and couples friendly establishment and your employees should be trained to be nice to customers. I do not appreciate how this male employee spoke to my husband, he needs to tone it down if he wants to keep his job.

When I called for my deposit, (which I called everyday starting Monday), I couldn't get it back because of extensive clean up on the outside and they have pictures. What a lie to keep someone deposit. I personally think and feel because of the drink situation, (which we kept in the car and bought their drinks) they found everything possible to make us look bad.

This year we have been asked to move to the foyer or to whatever room may be available as they rely on rentals for these rooms. We agreed and we have been playing where they tell us to go. We pay $2.00 and now are asked to sign in and pay the fee. Additionally, we always were given water and coffee, and are now told that would no longer receive free water or coffee. When several of our members complained about this, a call was made to one of our members that we were rude to their staff, and they are not going to put up with this. I believe The Community House is ignoring the elderly in their community and are actually forcing us out of this venue in favor of younger members. Why else deprive us of free water.

So, this section of Brookfield has a most interesting history. The land was donated, or sold, by Mrs. Edith Rockefeller McCormick in 1919. The architect chosen to design this building was William Drummond, an associate of Frank Lloyd Wright, and it is very evident inside the building. It originally was for meetings and a primary school. The first classes started on September 21, 1920. It also served as a nondenominational church in the 1920's and 1930's. For over 90 years it has served as a meeting place for groups: concerts; dances; Fourth of July, Christmas, and Halloween celebrations; and family functions. Predating Hollywood, California, in 1987, they, and other representatives from communities sharing the Hollywood name, defeated an effort by the mayor of Hollywood, California to copyright the name for its exclusive use. It is located just west of Riverside-Brookfield High School. The building has a main event room with a lovely fireplace that we totally enjoyed on the wintry night we were there. The original windows are still in place and you can tell you are in a Prairie style building. Available for rental, you bring in your own food and drinks and have the option to rent the kitchen. Tables and chairs are provided. Party on.
