Where young families are starting out and can get comfortable, quality and yes a little worn furniture at a resonable price. This just isn't a one off with me look at some of the other responses. Never again will I donate anything to such and ungrateful organization. Last thing, let say that they have to use such discretion because they would have more furniture than they could store. Well anything that's been there more than 3 month have a free day where needy families in the community could go to and get help. In other word be creative and not so selective.

But after recently learning of this non-profit organization called Sharing Connections, those lazy days are over. A fantastic organization that does so much good in the community. Sharing Connections provides furniture and household items for low-income families, helping them make their houses or apartments feel like homes. Most of these families are coping with a major crisis such as domestic violence, homelessness, job loss, or a financial crisis. This is an opportunity for community members to show gratitude for their own blessings by helping someone who could use a little extra help. Because they respect the dignity of the families they serve, they want to give them furniture they'd be proud to have in their homes. This means that they only accept items that have been gently used. Items that are not soiled or broken. I recently assembled dressers that were provided by financial donations to Sharing Connections. A great way for anyone to spend their time. There are lots of ways to help. --your money, your unused belongings, or even just your time.

Whether you're looking to enjoy nature, get in a great walk, or simply take in the beautiful views, it's the perfect destination. We mainly just explored the Children's Garden area. Thankfully, there are bathrooms nearby. They were clean. And there was a vendor selling snacks outside (and yummy sangria) so I bought some there and didn't bother with the indoor restaurant. I would recommend if you're going with Young ones, to bring a stroller!! Children 3 and under are free admission. Tickets are a couple dollars cheaper if purchased online. I paid $25 for adult admission. We would have liked to take the tram around, but I didn't realize it only runs a couple of times and sells out quickly. So if you're interested in the tram ride, buy tickets when you first get there. My daughter loved the rope bridge/tree house area. Definitely a place to add into your rotation of places to go, especially if you have kids that love being outside in nature.

They offer multiple afterschool programs, tutoring, leadership conferences, groups for kids of all different interests to join, work trips, etc. If you have children in middle school or highschool in the southwest suburbs, check out CEP and find out if there's something of interest for your child. If you're an adult and are interested in volunteering, this is really an outstanding organization to be a part of. CEP has helped many young teens and made on impact on many lives, including my own. I have been involved as an adult leader for both the junior high and high school leadership programs and helped out with their after school program. Though they are a pretty small organization they do GREAT BIG things for the teens in the area. I wish I could transplant a few more CEP's throughout the state. Job well done CEP!

I grabbed my cornet WITHOUT valve oil in my case. I HAVE to apply valve oil before I play, it's a thing. I only find out I have no valve oil when I arrive, but thanks to YELP I find a music store that's only 12 minutes away. Thank you YELP. As I'm hopping out of the car and walking to the front entrance, I open up YELP to check in and notice it doesn't open for 10 minutes. A second horrified surprise, but as I'm standing in front of the locked door the owner walked up on the other side and opened up early for me. Quickly, well sort of quickly, sold me a bottle of Al Cass valve oil (it's one of the better brands) for a reasonable price and I was able to properly honor a special vet at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

He has fixed my Fender Strat when I thought it was beyond repair, he tuned up my PRS, and he completely hooked up my Ollandac. I had the Ollandoc custom made and when it arrived it needed lots of work. He adjusted the nut, straighten the neck, installed new Duncan 59 pickups on both the neck and bridge. The pick ups were a bit tricky because they are the 4 conductor model that needed to be wired up for straight humbucker, split coil, and parallel switching. UJM is the only place I trust to touch my babies and she sounds amazing now! The work is done fast, correct, cost effective, and you can tell they take pride in their work. Love the fact that they don't try to up sell you and they give great advise. Give the small guys a chance and stay away from big shop retailers that only care about $$$$. The staff if friendly and fun to talk too, UJM has a customer for life and I recommend them to anyone I talk too! Well done UJM!
