We arrived at the lodge just as they finished putting Christmas lights up. They were very beautiful, enjoying walking through and looking. We did an RV camp, very quiet very clean during our days we were there. We also had a couple of dinners at the lodge and the food was excellent. I recommend the lodge to anyone. Visiting from another elks and no one answered the door. As soon as we left a couple came out this is not a friendly place would not go back and will stick to my home elks club. Tried to give one star but Yelp won't let me change my rating. read more

This Elks Lodge is a fantastic Service Organization- the members are active participants and there are several gatherings, pool for members and guests- best to reserve ahead, dinners, lunches, events and get-togethers. Highly recommend this lodge, as it is close to the beach and has great RV access. I know all lodges have their "thing," but this one is super laid back- great food, no cliques-like a lot of clubs, great managing staff and the best bartenders. Fun place to come when you have a group of friends not to mention most are members too. We enjoy Friday nights "cook your own" and listen to what ever band may be playing. Sometimes it's a DJ so you have to google or Yelp to see what's going on. If you're a member you get better pricing on dinners and drinks. read more

I know, I know. I only gave this wonderful Elks a 3 star and not a 5 star. Actually, I can't say enough good about the RV park. It deserves 5 stars if I could post it by itself. It's in a great location. It's always clean and hosts are fabulous. We really enjoy staying at this location ...... except .... We've eaten in the clubhouse before and it was just fine. However, this time we went on Pub Grub night. I highly DO NOT recommend that. Between our grilled cheese sandwich (was there cheese in it?) and the tuna melt (thin piece of tuna mixture probably grilled on the grill first 'cuz tuna "patty" was burned) we could not eat either. In addition to whatever was put inside the bread, the bread was so burned it was black. We actually should have sent it all back but we didn't. We just didn't eat it. read more

Friendliest people working at this Bingo Hall! Everyone was helpful and informative. Just a great group! The Oceano Elks Lodge puts on a wonderful bingo night every Thursday. It's not a huge spot, but the sign says they can hold a max of 200 people. However, I only counted 27 large folding tables. The night I played, I counted around 60 players. Buy-ins are only $15 for regular games, with extra packs for $5. Early Birds and special packets run about $12. Payouts range between $80 - $250. They play a ton of Pull-Tabs! They have a cute little snack bar where they will make different food items like a BLT, hot dog, or a cheeseburger and fries, etc.. A piece of cake is only $0.50. Canned soft drinks are $0.75. Free popcorn! read more

Love love love these folks! This is not my home lodge but it's so fun to hang out here!!! We love bringing our RV here for the weekend or the week. Jaylene is the PERFECT camp host and Michelle is the bartender everyone wishes they always had. The lodge members are friendly, the food is good, the drinks are plentiful and though the lodge could use a facelift, it's always a lovely experience. Thumbs up!!! read more

We just spent a wonderful 1week annual trip to Oceano Elks with the Visalia Vagabond RV & we're astounded & amazed & saddened to hear of the lodge's decision to replace David Placeres as the Camp Host. He has done more for that campground than any of the previous hosts. He was even helping & assisting the previous host, Kim. You couldn't get a better, Knowledgeable, more congenial person for this position. I sincerely hope that the lodge rethinks their choice It disappoints me that they think he is not doing a great job & service to the organization!!! read more

Not the largest, but certainly the friendliest Elks lodge around. Bartenders Sarah, Frankie, Jenna and Jim make sure you feel at home. Several new flat screen TVs playing your favorite sports. Great food (Mondays are $5 taco basket night which comes with a raffle ticket for a drawing for, as MC Sarah says on the microphone, "Totally useless prizes.") Wednesday is spaghetti night, Thursday is Bingo, Friday is either Fish & Chips or Grill your own steak night. But, food aside, the main reason to go to Elks Lodge 2504 are the people. It's all laughter and handshakes from the moment you walk in. All this and it's a block from the beach! I've visited around a dozen lodges and none are better then 2504 in Oceano. read more

There are four things I love about this place. #1 is the Bar Manager, Jenna, she rox!! # 2 It's half a block from my house # 3 the price is right!!! # 4 the food is pretty darn good... It is also the friendliest bunch of people around. Almost everynight they have something going on. Mon is Taco night, and you can watch your favorite sporting event in the bar. Wednesday is my fave and the is spaghetti night, Thursday is Bingo, open to the public, and they have burgers etc. Friday is cook your own steak or fish fry, and they have a sunday brunch! I love being a member there, and I love that it's crawling distance from my house!! read more

My friends family had a house in Pismo Beach and her family thought it would be fun to surprise us and bring us here for her birthday dinner. We're all in our 20s and the crowd is a lot different than that but we had a blast. It's members only. Basically you get a choice between chicken, steak, or fish. Then you pick it up raw and season it yourself and choose how well done you want it and they'll cook it for you. Then, there's a small build your own salad bar and they have sides you get to chose from as well (bread, corn, beans, baked potatoes). Drinks are extremely affordable and everyone is having a good time dancing as well. A great spot for any type of group! read more

This here folks is the Friendliest Elks Lodge in the world. Often time you roll into an Elks lodge, & the locals give you the kinda look that says, hey this is a private club ..who the hell are you? NOT HERE. The bartenders are great, the drinks are strong and there are lots of T.V.s Play dice, watch a game, eat a $1 chimichanga, drink some hypnotic, and was it all down with an Irish Car Bomb. Halloween 2014 at the Elks Lodge Awesome facility! Friday night BBQ! Everyone is friendly, and makes you feel like you belong right off the bat. Live music, costume party and great food. Nice bar area with plenty of tv's. Decent size patio off the bar, very comfortable. The bar staff are personable and make a great drink. Dining room could use update but I've seen worse. Was impressed with the kitchen area. Lots of room and efficient. The back half is the BBQ/Seasoning station. By far my favorite area. You season your cut of meat, then have the option to hand off, or grill yourself. Awesome! Nice RV hook ups, 1 block to beach and just a great location . Get your Elk on! read more

We have been staying at Oceano Elk's Lodge #2504 for years with no problems. They now take reservations, which is better for us because we travel 5 hours to get there. Like most RV Parks they have check in and check out times in order to verify availability and clean the sites. If we arrive early we understand the reason for having to wait until 1:00 p.m. to be parked. They cannot park us in someone else's reserved spot. Kim and Dave are doing a terrific job of doing what they are told to do! read more

This place used to be so nice, the best bartenders, always felt welcome. But that was some years ago. These Bartenders can't get a beer order correct... And not just once but every time ordering! They need some training and learn how to walk a chew gum at the same time because they sure don't know how to take customer orders let alone who was in line first. When the gals were bar-tending, they got the orders right, poured a good drink, remembered your drink, and we never had a line out the door. Now in the middle of the day, with no people, there's still a crazy line. It's probably people returning their drink for the one they ordered!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible bartenders! read more

It is not the classiest place ever but has a comfy feel to it. The "cook your own steak dinner" that was actually cooked by the STAFF and not me was GREAT and so were the sides and drinks. It had me really thinking about joining. When all of the little comfy neighborhood bars have gone to the wayside for who know what reasons, it would be a nice place to just hang out when there was nothing else to do. Even though I do not smoke, I thought it was a nice touch that they had a place for smokers to enjoy their poison and not have it contaminate the non-smokers in the crowd. read more

Well, we were traveling with the vagabonds and we stayed at Pacific Dunes Ranch. The Elks Lodge No. 2504 was a couple of miles away so we decided to go for a couple of drinks. We had a drink and some popcorn, the bartender was very friendly and personable. There were two other couples in there and they were friendly also. We had such a great time we came back the next day. Different people but the same friendly warm feeling. We found out they do breakfast on Sunday so again we returned. Definitely not disappointed. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit, and hash browns, all for $7.50, what a deal that was. We plan to travel. here again soon. read more

Never have I been treated with such disrespect in my life. My brother has been an Elks member for some time. He has told me such wonderful things the Elks have done for the community. He wanted to show me by taking my husband and I to Oceano Elks RV camping in our motorhome together as a family. My husband and I had interest in joining the Elks. The New camp hostess J was the rudest person I have ever met. After having reservations for weeks and we confirmed 4 days before. The morning of our arrival by brother gets a message only he and his wife can come. We were already on the road 2 hrs away. When we arrived all hell broke loose with the Hostess J. She was awful. The reservations were made through Dave. My brother explained this to J. And she smarted off, thats why Dave doesn't work here anymore. She finally excepted his money for 2 nights stay. We stayed to ourselves. When we returned from an outing there was a gathering of at least 20 to 25 people having dinner together. Social distancing? The next day J. Just couldn't leave us alone. We were told to leave after she insighted the covid rules we didn't know they had. Or were told about. We were told we had 1 hour to leave or she would call the Sheriff. I walked with my sister in law to get our 1 day money back. J. Put up her hand to me and said don't you come any further you are not an Elk member. I told her you are so rude. I told her my husband and I were thinking about becoming members. I said We will NEVER become members because of you. She said Good we don't want you. So folks be prepared . V. TAYLOR read more

We have been elks for a long time and to day two of us on 4/26/2017 arrived early and we were in formed by the camp host we could not park our rv's there on a 3/4 empty park. We have traveled And stayed at many lodges an been treated by the most friendly camp host you would ever want to meet. Your camp host was very rude and being an officer of my lodge this would not be tolerated. I sure wish Dave was still available. We will never used or visit this lodge again. read more

What a getaway nightmare. The lodges RV hosts, B&J Cal****** were total bullies to speak politely. I would definitely recommend anyone considering using this particular facility to have a back up plan in place to stay as an alternative. We reserved three weeks in advance due to the heightened demand for camp space and also gave a courtesy reminder phone call 4 days prior to arrival. When we arrived the park check-in hosts laid a list of rules and requirements on me which were not spoken of when I reserved space or mentioned to me in my confirmation call. Yes! the morning of arrival they decide to add new rules. When I asked when these rules took effect I was told March."I asked you about such rules and any other such deviating County rules in my Day 4 confirmation call" I said. "Why are you telling me now?" Rules are rules she said."Sorry." We were then forced to grovel and plead so that we would have a place to stay. Hell bent on refusing us acceptance she threatened to call security if we didn't accept her say and leave.She went to the extent of grabbing her cameraphone and threatened to record me when I said," what you're doing isn't right." I asked her superiors contact info but instead she called and this person told her to let us stay. We actually heard the conversation on speakerphone partially..she was trying to convince whoever this person was to let her kick us out. Her superiors decision allowing us to stay not sitting well with her evidently prompted both Mrs and the Mr Host to come rub some salt into the wound of an already bad situation the following afternoon when we were paid a visit. Mrs Host knocked our door to begin with, then demanded I step outside and began to recite the rules once again this time in the presence of her husband. When I asked why they were targeting and harassing us as we though things were resolved with their supervisors decision...well I angered the Mr of the two evidently and was told I had 1 hour to be out. I'm guessing the person that approved our stay had a change of heart or his decision was overridden. Perhaps their club needed another space???? There was a large RV bunch maybe 20+ there, no masks, in a pot luck gathering under a canopy our 1st night. Nothing else made any sense as to why anyone would be so despicable. Our crime that started this whole thing? A CDC rule we broke. You know anywhere else like restaurants, beaches etc. as long as families huddle among themselves it's OK? Well not here. You see my wife and I brought my 59 year old sister and her 65 year old husband with us in the one rig. They were thinking they might like to join the Elks so we could RV together now that they're retiring. read more
