I have been going there almost daily for cappuccino (either the black and white or the ghost hawk if I need a little kick). I feel bad that I have just now gotten around to writing a review on Yelp! My apologies guys. Elbee's is one of a kind shop with a little bit of everything. They are friendly, and have unique drinks. I'll never go to Starbucks again. As a matter of fact I went to Starbucks on my birthday (only bc it was free) and I instantly regretted it! Their cappuccinos and drinks are definitely "made with love" thanks guys! read more

Ellbees general store is a wonderful stop in the heart of Old Wentzville. They have nostalgic candy along with everyone's chocolate dipped favorites. They also offer a variety of ice cream, coffees and refreshing nostalgic sodas. They carry a number of different spices and garlics for your home cooking needs as well. I've tried this place for coffee a couple times & both times the coffee was just not right. I really really wanted it to be good, considering wentzville does not really have any other small business coffee shops, but unfortunately this was just not my cup of tea, this is coming from me being a barista myself. The first time going there I noticed when they were making my drink they took the espresso shots out of the fridge from a big jug, I'm not even sure if they measured the "shots" out because I could barely taste any hint of coffee. And since I was a barista I am aware that espresso has a shelf life & I had no idea how long those "shots" were sitting in the fridge for. Espresso should be brewed fresh for each order, and since they did not do that, it definitely reflected in the quality of the drink. You could taste that it was not right. The second time I went back to give them another chance, I really wanted to like it, but the second time was worst than the first. I got a different drink with a different barista in hopes of maybe having a better experience. But unfortunately this time around I couldn't see how they were making my drink because there was quite a bit of chaos happening behind the bar. But when I tasted my drink I was honestly grossed out, and I hate to say that. The milk had the oddest taste, I honestly think it might've been bad? I'm really not sure how it could have been messed up this badly, I ordered the basic Carmel Macchiato which is just vanilla flavoring, caramel, shots of espresso and milk. I was really upset that I also paid over $7 for the drink (I do believe I tipped before I drank the drink as well). I've been to lots of different coffee shops and this is by far one of the worst for coffee. They do have a cute little store that is fun to walk around and maybe find a fun trinket or candy. But I do not recommend for coffee, save your money & go to McDonald's. You're better off getting a better coffee from McDonald's for a cheaper price. read more

I looked online for a Candy Store in Wentzville and Ellbee's General store popped up and I wanted candy for my step-dad's birthday. I was in such a hurry and Mary was fantastic! She suggested I do a basket with the candy that I had chosen and I added a couple of bottles of POP- Of Course Dad's Rootbeer had to be one. This place is a gem and from what I heard a customer say while I was in there they have Great Espresso etc too. I can't wait to go back when I have more time and try some great coffee. I would love to say the best part about this place is the Garlic, but I've never gotten any!! I would really love to say how amazing the coffee is, the Orange is so yum and Bourbon one for sure ground fresh on site is unbelievable! I wish I could say the best thing there was the macaroons and or the canolli that were hand filled to order and melted in your mouth... BUT!!!!!!!!! They have me 100% addicted to the green apple army men gummies that I just can't stop getting!! Everything I just keep trying new items, but those gummy men are the BEST!!!!!!!!! read more

I am so happy Wentzville has such a unique and fun shop! Great place to shop for gifts or to take kids for a treat. They have everything a sweet tooth could want! They serve up the best root beer floats, have bins of gourmet chocolates, old fashioned candy, delicious coffee concoctions, pastries, and an ever changing daily menu of goodies, I think they even serve breakfast and lunch. My son begs me to take him to pick out one of the wacky bottled soda varieties they have. I try and visit often because the variety of goods change, featuring whatever upcoming holiday or season.
