FOUND WHAT WE WANTED -…read more While on a Road Trip with my Wife in the Houston Area, we stopped in at "Pet City Houston" (Bammel Westfield) and checked out their Dogs. We have been looking for one for our Schnoodle back home and have not found on via many 'Doggie Adoption Agencies' - which has been giving us a run-around for about a year. My Wife found several really cute and well groomed Doggies there and a couple of them were what we are looking for. She picked one out, a Miniature Schnauzer, all white, about 8 months old. The Employees there were playing with the Dogs, feeding them and caring for them. This is a good sign. We petted and held the one we are interested in and my Wife decided this is the one she wants. We both agreed, and John, the guy that was helping us, set it up for us to pay for and pick-up this Cute Little Doggie early Saturday morning before we head back home. We arrived Saturday morning and John was there a little early - and we did our processing and left with our little Baby Hairy Child. Everything in Pet City Houston store was spotless clean, including the enclosures the Doggies were in - and I checked out the store really good - could find no dust or dirt. Products on display were neatly organized and the help there were Awesome. When we returned home we had her checked out by our Vet, testing and examination, and he said she is in Perfect Health. I found them 2 weeks ago, and have gotten a glider plus toys and treats from them. Stephanie, in particular was pleasant to deal with. She was knowledgeable about her gliders and helped me find a suitable mate for my other sugar glider. They have a different diet that they feed their gliders here, than other exotic pet shops. They have a specific formula they feed their gliders, that I haven't seen anywhere else and it seems as though the gliders thrive on it! The pet glider is the BEST place to get your glider and glider accessories. Though they are a bit more pricey than the average exotic pet shop, it's still worth it. You get what you pay for.

They are not open on the weekends as yelp suggests or even their posted sign at the facility. I'm not sure when this started, but I drove almost an hour this morning, only to be turned away. I called ahead of time and didn't get to speak with anyone, but their answering machine indicated that they were open. The last time I stopped by (2 months ago) they were open, but just not allowing people inside (curbside assistance). I was able to get supplies and my get my girls their nail trims. Now it appears they aren't even doing that. I called when I got there, and a young lady came out to let me know all of this. She said that we can only pick up online orders and when we pick up our supplies someone may or may not be able to do nail trims--she wasn't sure. She was very sweet, but I was so confused. There was nothing on the website that indicated this. I understand that these are difficult times, but I just wish I knew before I loaded up my gliders and headed that way. Still a fantastic company, but I felt a little blind-sighted. Yelp literally says that they are open until 6pm today (it is 11am on a Saturday). Clearly that is incorrect. Do yourselves a favor, save your gas and don't drive to this business without actually contacting someone first. And order everything online.
