Decided upon a little girl I had my eye on. She was still available so we (husband and I proceeded forward with Ms. E.; who's the owner of YofH.) The process was detailed, professional, caring, and I felt comfortable proceeding with our adoption of little Miss Lemon Drop. She's a little party animal and a sweet baby. We had the online meeting and then decided to drive to pick her up. I love that she's already on a schedule. She sleeps through the night; greets us in the morning and we hang out all day. She has already been to her new vet and has a clean checkup. He was pleased with her. She's been a delight.

As Girlfriend is approaching her 3rd birthday in November, I just wanted to take the time to say how much of a joy she has been for me, my daughter, and even my parents who have never been into animals of any kind! In fact, as we speak, Girlfriend is at the grandparents house in NC with my daughter and has been for the past month! I wasn't sure how the dog thing would go but working with Brenda was a breeze. Girlfriend has this far been a healthy and happy pup. We've only had to see a vet for check ups and minor things. She is everything I could ask for and more. Her personality is so much like mine, laid back...calm and collected, that it's unreal. I've been thinking about adding another Havanese soon. I lived in Houston at the time that I got Girlfriend but have since then relocated to MD but I wouldn't dream of using any other breeder!

Giardia has to be sent out for special testing which is not available in the 24-48 breeder request. We are now on a second round. This has been a nightmare because it is extremely contagious to humans as well. So keeping things sterilized around the clock is difficult. I have much more to add and feel free to contact me. I did advise her and she said she took all her dogs for testing I call bullshit on that, how does she know who's poops is who's, to get tested, This is very close to a puppy mill so don't be fooled by the beautiful website and promises of doggy door trained, family trained etc! It's not true! The live in huge kennels. The address on the website is not where they breed these dogs. They live at a location they don't want you to know about....i do have that address wish they would publish that and be honest. BUYER BEWARE AFTER SPENDING THOUSANDS ON A DOG YOU WILL NEED MORE TO MAKE THEM HEALTHY. We are now on our third round of treating Giardia. Let me tell you this is exhausting keeping all areas sanitized, bedding constantly washed etc. I have two other dogs, they have been treated as well. vet bills, compound pharmacy prescriptions (because the medication is really foul tasting) all $ that add up. how can this breeder possible send home a healthy puppy. Remember you sign your rights away when you sign that contract. With the overcrowding situation in animal shelters in Houston, the last thing we need is for more animals to go back into shelters or rescues. That's why rescue groups like Red Collar need to do everything they can to ensure that each dog goes to a wonderful, loving home. Many times, the dogs come from traumatic situations - either from the streets or they were neglected or abused in a home. Considering the city's crisis around animal safety and wellbeing, one would think this rescue would have prioritized follow up to ensure a safe and loving home for this pet, however they don't seem to have the ability to manage the application and review process on a basic level so I would not trust them to handle this important process from beginning to end based on this initial interaction.

I have dealt with this company for many years now and have had only great experiences. I actually got my puppy from a friend who purchased him and then decided she was not ready to care for the pup. I immediately called John and and Georgia, to inquire about the pups records and paper work. They were both very responsive and I was able to get the paperwork for my pup, although I was not the original buyer. They were careful to understand me and my intentions with the puppy I indirectly acquired. I appreciated their concern for the puppy and my intentions as the new owner. Their precautions showed me that they truly care for their pups and what type of life they will have with their new owner. John and Georgia took great care to get me the puppy's records, and John continued to support me through my time in Houston. He came to my house to groom the yorkie I got from him, and my female I already had. Additionally, John would puppy sit both of my dogs for me when I went out of town, and for a reasonable price. He even groomed them for me before I would pick them up. My experience was so good, and my puppy grew into such a healthy beautiful adult, I went on to referred this company to 2 other individuals seeking yorkie puppies. One was my own mother, who lives in Florida and was able to travel to Texas for her puppy and another was her friend, who also traveled from Florida to get her puppy. They are both equally pleased with the yorkies they received, with one even thinking about going back for a second. Please see the pics of the three healthy Yorkies we received from this company and take the chance and experience their business first hand. I have nothing bad to say about this company. I searched online and called 2 companies they Precious Paws of Houston was the 2nd company that I contacted. Looking at the website, they seem to have it all together. Here's the issues that I have experienced thus far. 1. I did not receive the puppy that I asked for. I wanted the smallest female of the litter at the time. She was the one they displayed to everyone which meant she was more expensive. The day that I was to receive my puppy. We had to continue to call and text. It wasn't until late at night I received my puppy. My back was against the wall and at this point I had to take the puppy that was given to me. Oh, the topper....I was told that her mother had bitten her umbilical cord to short the night that I picked my puppy up and they had gotten it fixed. 2. I never received the shot records or the AKC papers as stated on the website. There was always an excuse. They stated people only want papers if they a breeding. Well that contradicts their website. I told them the point of paying $2600.00 was to have a puppy that had papers and I WANT THEM. Georgia NEVER contacted after several calls and text. When I did receive a call after New Years, I was told about a shooting that happened to a family member but they were working on it. (If shooting is true, I hope that all is well.) STILL NOTHING YET!!! 3. The deposit paper work were always forgotten by Jacob or John. Therefore, I alway requested J.W initials to be placed on the money orders for my records. I still have them! 3. I took my puppy to the FIRST available vet appointment to get her seen that following Saturday. I wanted to ensure that I indeed had a healthy puppy after all of the craziness that I had experienced. Over all she was fine, she received her shots because I didn't proof, she received an antibiotic shot for the umbilical cord injury I was told about. We were clear to see family out of town. 4. One week and half later after coming back grom out of town. I finally was able to take her to see her primary vet. I gave them all of the paper work from the first vet that I had taken her to. I signed my puppy up for Banfield pet insurace the $54.00 policy to cover her spay, shot, exams, etc. Well here is what lead me to writting this post! My puppy finally reaching the point in which she could starting having a cycle. Well I did not want puppies and most importantly, I did not want to deal with a bleeding puppy. Her appointment was scheduled I took her in for surgery and I get a phone call from the vet stating that the wound on her tummy feels deep and longer than what they would expect from an umbilical injury. I told the vet the breeder told me that they fixed the umbilical cord injury and they did give me a report. She say's she would not know the whole story until they my puppy up. After 1 hour I received a call my puppy was out of surgery but the said news is the LYING BREEDERS SPAYED MY PUPPY PRIOR TO ME GETTING MY PUPPY. 1. This is terrible to put a puppy through. They say they love and stand by their pets but they don't. 2. I still had to pay for her surgery. 3. I'm still paying a monthy fee that included a spay. RUN..... DON'T BUY FROM THEM.... I HAVE TO PROTECT OTHERS.. My poor baby went through pain for nothing!! Karmyn Angel is fine now. I just pray that God have mercy on them because when He gets them they will held accountable.  Vengeance is mine, say's the Lord.
