I am a hairdresser myself of many years but don't work in a salon anymore. That being said, I am super picky about my hair. This was my first time with Cassie but I knew she would do a fantastic job because she does my adult daughter's hair and it always looks incredible. The salon is beautiful and everyone is very nice there. Cassie is very knowledgeable about hair color and hair in general so I felt comfortable right away. She really listened to what I wanted and did a very thorough consultation before we began. I will definitely be going back to her from now on .... She transitioned my hair from copper to a beautiful golden blonde in ONE session and my hair is still healthy! I can't recommend Bri enough. I got an appointment with Jojo and he was amazing! I just wanted to go back to my natural hair color so we did that. Although the process was simple he made me feel so relaxed and he is so outgoing and I love it!!!! I love how he is very attentive and makes sure you are comfortable and liking everything that he is doing. I've always had trouble with hair stylists and jumped from one person to another until I met Jo-jo. He is very reasonably priced and does a really great job. I booked an appointment with TiffanyRae and within the 4 weeks she's given me excuses to why she can't make it and needs to reschedule. The excuses were she was too busy and can't fit me in, overbooked, sick etc...I was rescheduled 3 times...within the month. It's unacceptable as a client to just have their appointment rescheduled week after week is ridiculous. The day of the appointment I came in salon and she had already left and booked another appointment. Maybe it's because I have a Groupon deal and that's how she's prioritizing me. . Astrid was lovely! So glad my husband got me a Groupon and the receptionist recommended her for my long curly hair. I told her I want to go lighter and she gave good advice to transition slowly. She was thorough and upbeat, even in while blowing out and styling my super thick locks. The salon is cute, bright and decorated in a shabby chic style that is feminine, without pretension. Pretty and practical. The stations are pretty tight, I enjoyed eavesdropping on other clients! Actually I do love listening to salon chit chat and Astrid was respectful of my silence, and easy to converse with when I wanted to. So I went in for a balayage with Brianna. I had been following her work on IG for some time now and had finally saved up enough to get my hair done. I didn't want anything too drastic as I've always been brunette. I explained to her what I wanted I even showed her pictures. I told her I would be okay with going lighter I had said caramel or even lighter but not extremely blonde. I went in like at 6:30 by the time she was done with the toning it was close to 9 and my hair was not what I had in mind but I went with it because she said it looked so good on me and was amazed at how well my hair had grasped the color. I had mixed feelings as it was completely different from what I wanted but I went with it. Now I'm starting to think that she probably wanted to go home already and talked me into it. However she did say that because it was really different then from what I wanted that I could come back and she could tone it for me. I agreed and thanked her for the offer. She cut my hair into a asymmetrical lob and then curled it and I left. However as days went by I couldn't take it anymore and decided to take her on her offer in regards to the toner. She toned my hair and it looked exactly how I had it when I came in which was all brown so I told her that and she went lighter she said "that's the lightest I can go if not it's going to be just like how you had it when we first bleached it" I didn't want to go to that extreme so I agreed. This was only like a week after our initial meeting. Then I noticed it started to get yellowish and orangeish so I asked her whether I should use blue or purple shampoo she said blue which I had already got because it was for brunettes however it did nothing to my hair. I talked to the stylist that fixed my hair and she said purple was what I was supposed to use and she used on my hair and it looks now completely different and waaaay better! Point is beware of coming here make sure you stick to your original plan, stand your ground or you will end up paying $240 for something that you won't even like! It was $180 for the balayage + $20 tip =$200 plus I went back to get it darkened and that was $30 + $10 tip =$40! She at least gave me half off on the toning since I had just been there a week prior. I have seen her work and it's beautiful but unfortunately she wasn't able to deliver the same results for me. I know I won't be getting my hard earned money back and that is upsetting but lesson learned. Also it wasn't even a balayage she gave me more of a ombré she didn't even do what she was supposed to and left me with dried out, choppy, yellow hair. read more
