I have written email communication with Brian in which I stated I was "good with what they had to offer" only because I was told that money needed to be put up front. At no point in my life have I ever been required to put money down up front for homeowners insurance, and this was presented to me as a standard requirement. This turned out to be misleading. The information I was given did not reflect normal industry practice, and it directly influenced my decision. As a result, I was placed into a policy and financial obligation that I did not knowingly or willingly agree to under accurate terms. Based on my experience, this company engages in actions behind the scenes that customers are not made aware of. The lack of transparency, the pressure to pay upfront, and the misrepresentation of what is "required" are unacceptable. I am requesting a full review of my account, the communications involved, and the process that led to this situation.

They add up and fill up the file cabinet drawer because for some unknown reason you never shred the old copy when you get the new one. Well on the envelope of this behemoth it said " go paperless. " Great idea I said I'm going to the website and do just that. Being your average bear on line I can go on accomplish what I need to and go on with my life. What happened in this case is one of those outwardly simply actions that some how turns into a vicious loop that you can't get out of. Which leads me to end up contacting customer service tech support. Thank goodness for human beings still being there. So I reached John in tech support. John was exceedingly good at his job. He not only saw what hamster wheel I had gotten myself on and solved it , but he also made some other changes that were beneficial for me as well. Amica has often been accused of being over priced. I personally have been with this company since my parents told me get my insurance through them in 1986!!! Their customer service is most certainly their forte!! They may be more expensive but if something happens I never worry that I will have an issue with them , or will not get something covered. Only once in all these years have I dealt with a employee who was less than pleasant. Statistically 1 in 34 years isn't bad. Although she is exceptionally memorable because everyone else is so pleasant at their jobs. So I'm just suggesting that if you want to deal with a company that , if something unfortunate happens to you, you don't have to have anxiety that they won't be there for you. Consider not being penny wise and pound foolish. Look into Amica as an option for the gift of being able to sleep at night.
