I was in Montana to throw a baby shower for my bestie, so I had to rely on the Internet to find me a good bakery. It's a bit frustrating trying to pick a bakery based on websites, but since Elle's Belles had a shiny super nice site I decided to go with them. I called the bakery a week before the event to ask questions and place my order. The girl who helped me on the phone was very nice and helpful. She explained the difference between the two different types of cupcakes that they offer. I ended up ordering a bunch of red velvet with cream cheese frosting, chocolate with cream cheese frosting, and white cake with chocolate frosting. I was super worried that because I told them that this was a baby shower and that I requested blue frosting on the chocolate cake they would make the frosting a disgusting baby blue color (I abhor baby showers that are all baby-ish), but they were a beautiful deep blue like I requested! I choose to go with cupcakes because I liked the idea of variety and different colors to go with my decor. Although it wasn't any cheaper than a cake, the taste made up for it. They were delicious and a HUGE hit with the ladies! The actual storefront was fun too. The bakery is located by the college and is situated in a ye oldie time western looking building complete with a real bonafied hitching post for your horse. It was pretty dang cool. Inside was cozy and the display case was tactfully stocked with amazingly tempting treats calling out to be tasted. The set up was unpretentious and I could picture just hanging out there with a coffee and treat, reading the morning away. If I lived in Montana I would be in trouble. Elle's Belles cakes are to die for! Most recently, I got a two-layer, raspberry and white chocolate filled cake for my graduation made by Elle. Not only was it the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, it had all the guests asking for seconds! The sugar roses were amazingly crafted. I'm definitely coming to her for my wedding someday. Every treat I have ever eaten or seen from Elle's looks as good as it tastes. Elle makes a sugar cookie that is to die for and they are actually slightly addicting! Ive been to numerous weddings that have had her cakes there and they are stunning! I've called Elle last minute for things and she has always accommodated. She also surprised me at the Breast cancer Fundraiser we had with about 200 cookies that she donated to the event!! They replied to my e-mail within hours (and I sent it on a Sunday night!). They had great communication, worked within my budget and had a super nice attitude. We had Elle do our wedding cake & groom's cake this weekend & it was AMAZING. No way will I let the leftovers go in the freezer - we're eating them, stat! From the very beginning, Elle was super warm & seemed genuinely excited to work on the cake. I knew exactly what I wanted the bride's cake to look like & had no clue what the groom's cake should be. I gave her a pretty general suggestion of "golf" but didn't want anything too cheesy. Elle delivered on both fronts - she got every little detail of the bride's cake right & blew me away with the groom's cake. We checked with three bakers, and this was definitely the most expensive place but totally worth it. The cake tasted better & looked better than anywhere else. Elle may come off as a little scattered (our order was scrawled in red Sharpie all over a piece of scratch paper), but check your inner bridezilla at the door & roll with it. We approached Elle last autumn about providing cookies for concessions during our concerts. Being a nonprofit, Elle and her team were more than willing to trade an ad in our program for the cookies her and her team makes. She ended up donating the first 160+ decorated cookies. When a mistake was made on my part that cost Elle countless time/money, she was very understanding and continued to work with us to provide her delectable cookies at our concerts. Elle and her team were extremely flexible when it came to the amount of cookies needed and creating a pickup schedule for each of our concerts (did I also mention the number of cookies she donated??). Whether you're a consumer or a non- or for-profit business, I would suggest giving Elle's Belles your business. Elle and her team work so hard to provide the amazing desserts they do for events, nonprofits, and for sale in a number of businesses. Our office in Austin,TX received a box of oatmeal cream pie cookies from a client as a Christmas gift. The cookies were amazing!! What began with "one bite" turned into quickly eating the entire cookie. The quality of freshness these cookies had even after being shipped across the country was crazy! Like another review I saw oh here and sadly ignored because of all the other great reviews, we were treated pretty poorly also. Was told in January they were available to do our cake and to send over the information. We did just that, tried to reach out to find out if they could do it, was told multiple times "they would get back to us." The last time we were told, well we have all your information BUT she hasn't done anything with is, so Ill just say we are booked and cant do it. REALLY! wow, if we were told from the beginning over the course of a month, we would have just let it be. If you cant do it, you cant do it, fine. say that at the beginning. read more

Unfortunately, when I called the lady seemed very unwilling to help me with my small order. I needed some gluten free cupcakes and had heard about Elle's Belles. She suggested that I find a different bakery because she had bigger orders to fill and she did not like to "mix business" as I had ordered other cupcakes for my wedding from somewhere else. To top the experience off, the lady made sure that I knew she would not have taken my call had she known it was business call and only answered because she had expected it to be a personal call. I first experienced Elle's cookies at the Bogart Market. After having one, I went back and purchased 15 to bring home to Seattle to share with friends. Last week I worked with Elle and her team to create birthday cookies. The entire team was amazing to work with, communicated with me, and the cookies were beautiful. I feel they went above and beyond to make their product perfect. We had 65 guests at our bday party and not a one of them would leave without "their" cookie. I've had 15 or more texts from guests telling me how they loved "their" cookies. Thank you, Elle, for the best cookie any of us has ever had. Wow! Elle's Belles made the desserts for my sons graduation party and they were exceptional ! I ordered the Blueberry Lemon Love cake and you can definitely taste the Love! She put the Montana State logo on top and it was just gorgeous! I also ordered the rainbow trout sugar cookies and not only are they delicious but they are so realistic you almost feel guilty eating them. I live on the east coast and had to plan this party from across the country and Elle's Belles did everything to make our celebration so very special. read more

It's not just a zip code where this bakery has poor customer service. I live in this zip code and am very disappointed in Elle's work ethic. I 'tried' to order a cake for my daughter's Birthday party and sent a couple emails and a phone call asking for her 'promised' sketched design and asked what the cost would be. Well --- I guess that is where things went wrong. I wanted to know the price of the cake BEFORE committing to it. She never returned my emails or calls. I chose to go somewhere else I could rely on. I had a 1st Birthday cake made for my granddaughter. It was absolutely perfect! The cake was moist and delicious. The squirrel on top of the log designed cake was exactly what I wanted. The mini cupcakes were also delicious and decorated with sprinkles and acorns on top. The crew at the bakery designed all my visions, no questions went unanswered. I am an outside sales rep that travels across 11 states and am somewhere different every week. I always try to find local bakeries to get sweets from to take to clients. I have to use the internet so I can get things set up prior to my trip. I came across Elle's Belles website and was impressed. I called her and she answered right away and was ready to get me taken care of. I do not have a lot of time to get these things set up, and she took control of everything form there. She had a perfect idea right away to get me what I needed. The best part by far is that she went out of her way to drop these off for me at the most convenient place possible. She went above and beyond to make sure I was completely satisfied. The clients were all very impressed and some knew of her already. Could not have went better and I will be using her again in a couple of months when I return to Bozeman. read more
