Gets most of its customers from around. They have some pretty typical bar food if you like fried things. Bar and grill, with most of the focus being on the beers and cocktails. It's just best to not take chances and play it safe. The bar looks pretty divy from the outside, and rest assured it's like that on the inside too. Amazing that it's in the middle of a residential neighborhood. There must be noise complaints one can imagine about the crazy patrons. It's about $3 for the cheapest drinks. There's often specials including on beers and wells. Food menu has greasy favorites. It's about $8 for a burger or a sandwich. Loads of toppings. Big menu but most of it is meaty. There's a few things made with avocado and sprouts, but usually in combination with bacon or something. For sure it has a lot of choices if you're looking for typical bar food. It's located on the street it's named for obviously. They're even open for breakfast, so you can get your drinking on early, while getting eggs and whatever.

The cocktails were good. Closer to urban prices. The potato skins were good with a nice crisp. You re r bread which was all good: sourdough, focaccia and crackers. The spinach salad was also delicious! The prime rib was excellent. You are able to get horseradish if you want. It comes with a side. We tried the garlic mashed and it was the only thing I didn't enjoy for the evening. We tried the walnut custard, was tasty. The chocolate peanut butter dessert was also good, but sweet!

And may I also add, that I do not like rum as a sipping drink, it only belongs in a coke as a teenager. Their rum (specifically the navy strength rum) holy cow, a perfect sipping "whiskey." NOW, I come to the liquors I like, nay love, as life itself. Scotch whiskey...... they don't make it..... ok then my other favorite nectar of the gods, TEQUILA.... Specifically repasado or anejo. In this case, theirs is called "rested tequila." It is sweet for tequila, but only for "unsweetened tequila" meaning no added BS or sugar (which surprisingly some big labels use.) it has a profile similar but BETTER and less sweet than Casamigos repasado. It is really VERY good, not astringent and deceptively smooth so that it could be dangerous, time will tell. This place is worth a 20-30 mile detour to check out their tasting room and cave like atmosphere. It is a shame we were not at this place 40 years ago when I could have lit up a cigar. Oh well.

Given it's double the price of a single meat platter, I expected it to comfortably feed two. On the platter were two solid ribs, a quarter dark chicken, and one hot link which were all solid sharing portions. Brisket which I understand would be one of the more expensive items - was one slice plus a sliver of a dry end attached to it. I'm not sure if that's one slice or a one slice plus what one was counting as a second slice. This was a disappointing mark - I thought about asking the server about whether we should have at least a full second slice. Pulled pork - to me is a much less expensive item compared to brisket - yet a relatively small amount. Not as egregious as the easily measured brisket. Cole slaw - even if it was made in house as opposed a commercial bulk supplier, this is a low cost item no? Small dish. Quality is very good - just a question of the quantity.
