I was really excited when they put in a new Jack's on Reeves Street on the north side of Dothan. When it first opened, it was chaos trying to eat there because of the overwhelming rcowd. That is to be expected. After a few months, the initial rush died down and we returned three different times for breakfast, noon, and evening meal. I was shocked to see how filthy the restaurant was, and still is. Soft drinks have been spilled at the entry doors and the sticky mess has become a permanent part of the concrete and the entryway. A good pressure washer would clean everything, but months have gone by and no one has even touched the mess and it is the same sticky mess every time we have returned. The counters are all sticky and messy and even when you can see the counters have been wiped, they have not been cleaned, but merely smeared. This restaurant is less than a year old and looks like it could be twenty years old the way it has been neglected. There is always food on the floor and filthy dining room tables. One positive is that we have always been warmly welcomed and treated with respect, but management needs to get serious about cleaning the place up. I almost want to offer to go to work for them just to clean the place and get rid of the syrupy, sticky mess that is so off-putting. Please clean the place up! I don't want to lose the Jack's restaurant that is conveniently located close to us.
