Ellicott Creek Park is named after SVU's Ellicott Stabler. So that's interesting. This park is absolutely beautiful in places. Some of it seems a little disorganized or unkempt but it definitely makes for a fantastic spot in Suburban hell. There are actually a lot of Parklands and canals and rivers around here so in that regard it's an underrated area. But with it being so cold so much of the time, part of the year, it's a wasteland. But not a teenage wasteland. Just a wasteland.

This is a great park along the Tonawanda river. It has walking paths. The dog park is earlier in on the park I don't own a dog so I skipped it. They have a great bike path, an area to walk, and many picnic shelters with grills. The bathrooms were open, when my friend and I walked there last week.

I have visited this park on several occasions in the past, mostly for events at specific shelters and that's it. I went on a tour with some park rangers recently and between that and some recent visits to the Bark Park, I've come to love this park. It has some paths that are off road, but mostly paved paths besides in the Bark Park. If unfamiliar, the Bark Park is an area where dogs are unleashed and can run free, and although I do not own a dog, it is my favorite part of the park. My friends bring their dogs, so I get a free pass. There is a little free library in the Bark Park. In the main park, there are some areas that are fenced off and lead to an old railroad track, and these are neat because they're much more wooded than the rest of the park. There are mushroom foraging possibilities here, and the low mow areas really bring something new and natural back to the park. Also, on our tour, we saw a raccoon. Highly recommend this park in the summer, spring, and fall!

Kind of hidden off of Niagara Falls Blvd there are two vehicle entrances for the park. One Creekside Drive and the other at Niagara Falls Blvd. Additionally there is a small pedestrian bridge with limited parking along the side. The Ellicott Island Dog Park is associated with this park but a bit farther from this location. Pros of this park is plenty of pavillions for rent from Erie County which booking is easy enough through their office or website. Prices range depending on size however I would recommend anyone to take a drive through the park to determine the location you like the best. Restrooms, established buildings are scattered through the park but some are farther away from others, the same can be said for the playgrounds. The pavillions have a fair amount of space between them. Parties safely wont overlap or compete with each other and there is an ok amount of parking but guests should bw prepared to park on the grass. Cons for this park, it can be wet (LOL) Its called creek for a reason so when it rains puddles will form and dampen the ground significantly. Also de pending where you book you may have to travel to get to the nearest washroom and there is a disc golf course which runs between a few pavilions. Not exactly through the structure but near and around. Lastly there is a strict cancellation and rebooking policy, once you select your shelter and pay you are booked. No changes for rain dates or wrong shelter selected. Otherwise comes and enjoy! Please remember to be courteous to your neighbors, pick up your trash and leave the shelter the way you want to find it.

Stunning park to jog, bikeride, walk your furry friend, or even go kayaking along the river.Theres grills to use or just pack a picnic and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature of the park.

Had fun exploring Ellicott Creek Park today! Forgot how beautiful it was here. Parking lots are spacious and easy to find, trails are plentiful, shelters and playgrounds are everywhere too. I didn't even realize how many playground areas they had. I counted 5 or 6 during our walk. We took some selfies on the bridge, and sat at a table next to the water. We saw people fishing, paddling kayaks, biking, having cookouts, and feeding geese. There is just so much space here to gather, explore, or think. The paths go as far as you want them to go - and walking is so peaceful. There is also a dog park if you are looking for a fun place your furry friends can let loose. Definitely one of my favorites!

I have lived by Ellicott Creek Park for 3 years now without realizing how great of a place it is! I'm so glad I'm finally experiencing it though. There are two main entrances that you can enter onto Park Road, one directly from Niagara Falls Boulevard and one from Creekside Dr. From either of these it is not obvious all what the park contains. I bring my dog for walks along the pathway often. Dogs must be leashed within the park and I typically don't see many others being walked. As we walk along the path, there are many pavilions where parties and cookouts are frequently being held. There is a soccer field, I see people playing softball/baseball, there are tennis courts, multiple playgrounds for smaller children, as well as is a frisbee disc golf course. Many people walk on their own or ride their bikes along the pathway that goes from one end of the park to the other. The park is always clean and well maintained each time I go. This past weekend I went kayaking in the creek with a friend for the first time. The water was very calm and there were other kayakers out as well. We saw some pretty cool birds along the way, the trip was relaxing and enjoyable. The creek goes pretty far then leads out to Niagara River. There are multiple launches to use to get in and out of along the creek. We used the launch right at the corner of Niagara Falls Blvd which has a decent amount of parking and two ways to launch. There is also the dog park off of Creekside Dr which is an island where dogs can be of leash. Overall Ellicott Creek is a great park and I'm happy I'm finally utilizing much of what it has to offer the public.

4 tennis courts with parking on the side

Prior to this visit, friends and I were looking for some tennis courts in the area and bumped into this one. Unfortunately we came here to check it out around 10pm but it was absolutely too dark to play tennis or even drive through the park while getting to the courts. Would be lovely if there were more street lights installed. Wanted to take advantage of the beautiful summer weather before the real fall feel hits us so we went back. The tennis courts are very easy to get to (right off of Niagara Falls Blvd). See David C's photo for a map of the park. The goal for my friends and I was just to play tennis but I noticed playgrounds, dog's running about, and tons of geese. There are a total of 4 courts with easy parking adjacent to it. It's a bit nested from the main road so no worries about your tennis balls flying into the street. Reading the other reviews, there's so much more to the park. I would love to return to take a walk or bike around.

I've driven by this park a lot, but it didn't look like much from the road, apart from having a nice location along the creek. However, I visited with one of my sons today, and we were excited to see how expansive it really is. There's at least half a dozen playgrounds with slides and swing sets for different age groups, all spread throughout the park. There's also a fitness circuit, tennis courts, disc golf and other amenities. The bathrooms were decent, and still open in October. Plenty of parking, too, including one large lot near the entrance. I'm surprised it wasn't busier today.

This park has a lot to offer. Ive only recently started coming here, and i have already kayak'd, walked my dog, and played disc golf here. The park always seems busy (soccer games, parties, tennis, playgrounds) but never crowded. The creek itself is an easy kayak trip with a launch pad on the other side of the creek where Ellicott creek road and Niagara falls blvd meet. I was only able to play the first 9 holes of the disc golf course due to rain, but from what i did play i had a blast. The course itself is easy to follow, and isn't too hard. A few holes boarder the creek while the rest go in between trees. I definitely want to go back and finish the back 9!!

This is such a beautiful park to enjoy a nice walk, jog, a bike ride or to go fishing (no spots to play sports of any kind here). There are a couple small grassy areas you can sit with a blanket and have a small picnic, eat lunch or bring your own lawn chair and enjoy a book. Plenty of benches to sit down, relax and enjoy the view of the water. In addition, the trees provide lots of shaded areas to appreciate as you walk through the paved trail on a hot summer day. Lastly, there are a lot of droppings from the geese (the children were stressing about avoiding it). I didn't see a playground during my walk but there is a very nice playground available for the children in front of the library that is located adjacent to the park entrance - you'll see it. I used my GPS to get here and parked at the courthouse parking lot, there was a path to where the trail starts - in my photos. Bring bug spray and sunblock in the summer and enjoy a stroll after a good meal. Rated this park four stars because I would probably only come back to take a walk if I'm already in the area but there's nothing here you absolutely have to see if you were visiting Buffalo. However, the park is beautiful and serene. If there was more to do or picnic tables for families to sit and eat, I would give it five stars.

A nice wooden bridge, Ellicott creek, a ton of planted trees , the American flag, and several wooden benches fill up this park, which reaches from North Forest to the UB campus. The best part of this walk, though, was when it started raining and we were heading back....... amazingly, a mama and baby deer came really close to the trail, eating grass and looking up at us every once in a while. That made for a great photo opportunity! I'll be back to take a ride on my bike sometime.... P.S. be cautious of your GPS , the address lead me to the golf course, not the park.
