We have been to Glen Park a few times. But now that our son is running around, going to the park is always a new adventure. After having some ice cream, we went for a quick walk throughout the park. This park really is great. It is a little small but that also makes it so nice. No need for maps or worries of getting lost, it's perfect for a nice walk. My son loves looking for all the wildlife especially if there are any ducks or fish. Luckily for him, there are plenty of ducks around here. Another nice thing about this park is that it is very scenic for photography. There were a few different groups there doing what looked like senior pictures or photos before an event. Whether you're looking for a nice walk, scenic backdrop or just a quiet place to sit on a bench and think, this park has it all. read more

I had some free time on a Sunday morning while I was waiting for a family reunion. So, I looked on Google Maps for local parks to visit. This one caught my eye. I am amazed at how restful and beautifully maintained it is. The flowers were welcoming, the small waterfall enchanting, the trails curious and winding, and the wildlife amusing. I felt more relaxed and grounded after my visit than I have in a long time. The only negative was that someone was smoking weed on a park bench and the odor instantly turned me off. I'm sure smoking is not allowed, but I was chagrined that in this little section of The Garden of Eden someone would assume to make the place smell like a stoner's living room. read more

There was a groundskeeper there who I started talking to and turns out he was looking for pictures which my family did have of my mom and dad at the Glen Park Tavern before it burned down, I love this tribute to them and if you haven't been to this park, I definitely recommend it read more

4/7/21. In honor of National Walking Day - yes, there such a day! I took a walk down Main Street in the Village of Williamsville and spent some time at Glen Park. A unique park in that there is literally a flowing water fall at its center. Quite unexpected. Very picturesque and scenic. Lower tiers of the park can be reached on foot from Main Street via a walkway. Somewhat steep, so watch your step and take caution if it's a rainy day. Year round this park is lovely, nonetheless. Feeding the ducks at the ponds with my nephew when he was a baby over twenty years ago is a fond memory I have of this park. The annual end of July summer Glen Park Art Festival is another wonderful time to visit Glen Falls and Park. Parking lots available or street parking. Several grassy areas to sit apart from others. Lots of nice restaurants in the area to walk to. Or you can bring a picnic from home to enjoy here like many. So this is what the American Heart Association wants the public to know: The first Wednesday in April is National Walking Day and it encourages Americans of all ages to get out and stretch their legs and get their hearts pumping. The American Heart Association sponsors this day to remind people about the health benefits of taking a walk. Wear your sneakers (or take them with you) to work, and at some point in the day, take a 30-minute walk. If you walked today, very good! Glen Park is the green heart of Williamsville, a destination for everyone for all kinds of reasons. It's rather small making it a cozy spot to visit. More and more people choose to spend time having picnics, romantic rendezvous, organizing photo sessions, fishing, jogging, playing with kids, doing outdoor yoga or just relaxing after a meal at one of many restaurants around the area. It could be also a great spot to enjoy delicious ice cream from Sweet Jenny's, why not. It's always nice even if you're only passing trough because you can see something new or interesting. Ellicott Creak is on one side with the impressive looking Glenn Falls. This place is beautiful at any time of the year. The new edition is "Nature Play". It's located on the side of Glenn Avenue next to parking area. "The space, which includes a unique amphitheater, is constructed of a variety of all-natural materials, such as large tree limbs, rocks and wood. The space will serve as a gathering place for the community to learn about the special ecological features within the park and village and for children to use their imaginations among nature." It sounds really promising, but my concern is about maintaining this place. Right now looks really nice made of mulched wood, but weeds and litter could change the idea into something totally different. Hopefully this project will grow and bloom to everybody's satisfaction. read more

One of the hidden gems of Williamsville! Stopped there today to see if any leaves were changing but not much with that yet. Thought I did discover something I never noticed before. The fence with all the locks! Where did this come from?? Nice little surprise. The falls are so pretty and calming you look at. The park draws so many different people. A mother was there with her baby in a stroller. A few older kids eating ice cream. Sweet Jenny's is right around the corner after all. A couple was snuggled together on one of the many benches that are scattered around the park. And a group of possibly students listening to someone who could have been speaking about the old water mill. Beautiful now but you should also visit this park in the summer when there are frequent small concerts and the ever growing Glen Park Art Festival. Also, dont miss it in the winter when the falls is frozen over! read more

I'm not sure how I haven't already written a review for Glen Park. This is a special place for me, one of nostalgia. My childhood was not exactly bursting with happy memory making moments. This is one of the few. Ice Cream at Sweet Jenny's with my mother and sister. Fresh cider at the cider mill which nowadays houses Sweet Jenny's. And our favorite family past time of slowly destroying the ecosystem. Nobody knew better back then! This is no longer allowed, but we used to come with stale bread to feed the ducks. In present-day visits, I have been pleasantly surprised to find that the ducks still visit the ponds at Glen Park despite the restrictions on snacks. There is no more feeding of the ducks and no more cider, but Jenny's Ice Cream can still be enjoyed and both the park and the falls are still beautiful. It's relatively small, not a place for hiking but a short walk. As an adult, I enjoy coming here just to sit by the falls and I still see many families there with small children. It is also a popular place for wedding photos, or any photos for that matter. This past fall, my sister and I retook a photo from our childhood to make a now-and-then keepsake. The park is accessible by foot from Main Street or you can find two parking lots on Glen Avenue on the opposite side of the park. read more

In honor of Earth Day, I'm taking a quick moment from a very hectic, overwhelming, and stressful past couple of months to talk about one place where I find a little peace sometimes. Glen Park. It's one of my favorites. It's perfectly nestled in Williamsville and often feels like one of those areas ripped from a wholesome movie. I'm a water person. Can't swim but love being near it. There's a peacefulness and tranquility to sound of a waterfall or the lapping of tiny waves. It's the closest to a meditative state I can manage. The waterfall gives you that vibe. It's a hit, so it's nothing to see many people standing or walking by it and taking it all in. The pathways are great, no matter the season, It's always beautiful and scenic. Tiny moments of escapism but also bustling with others enjoying themselves too. It's great for riding bikes. A hang out spot for teens and senior aged folks meeting up for walks. It's great for families. Everyone can find something enjoyable about it. It's very clean and well maintained. And there are always events and other things to do. read more

Tiny but lovely !! Ok, so it is a sunny but a bit cool Saturday, post covid luckdown, and you want to enjoy a beautiful view before sunset. THIS is the place. Cozy and cheering. Small ponds, lots of trees, the fact that you have high and low grounds in such a small area, and the sound of the fall make it a great place for a short walk and refresh. We stayed the night in Williamsville while on a road trip recently and was looking for a place to walk off our morning breakfast. I Yelped around and found this little gem of a community park. This is very much a neighborhood, sitting park to enjoy the waterfall and the weather. There isn't much of a walking trail but is close to Main St so adding that I guess counts. It's a beautiful little oasis in the middle of a neighborhood that I'd frequent if I lived close by but I wouldn't cross town for it. read more

I came here tonight with a friend and it was my first time here. There is free parking near here. There are shady spots, stones, and a slight incline. The best part is the beautiful waterfall. It was breathtaking and made me so happy. I'll definitely be back. If your ballpoint Bic leaks in your shirt, then you'll get a Pen Mark. And if Noah builds a really big boat in this area, but only allows the Lions on it instead of 2 of all the other creatures, then it's a Den Ark. Oh dear. And... It's creepy to walk around here When Dark. But during the day, this tiny adorable park is absolutely breathtaking. In fact it reminds me of Tom Cruise. Of Kelly McGillis. Of fighter planes. And most of all, it reminds me of being in Berlin. Turning every turn into this secret hidden Glen. Watching in slow motion as the waterfall sprays, it takes my breath away. The more I visit Glen Park the more I like it. The waterfall is so spectacular and even though it's not the biggest park in the world it really is the heart of Williamsville. It's right behind Main Street but you wouldn't know it's here unless you went exploring or already knew what you were looking for. That's part of The Wonder of it. It's like discovering a Nature park right behind the shopping street which you always assumed was surrounded by endless Suburban jungle. The entrance to the park is actually on Main St which is surprising because the park is largely invisible from Main St. I live close-ish to here and my bff works right next to it, so we come walking here all the time. I do recommend sticking to the daytime (when it's legal and open) because it is a bit creepy at night. It's actually one of my fave little-known secluded spots in the area. It's also a great make-out spot. The park is hidden away in the suburbs and is very tidy. This idyllic setting is perfect for special pictures (not the kind of special pictures my gf takes, unfortunately. Although I guess you could do that here. Come to think of it... maybe I will...). There are nice benches where you can sit and look at the falls and the ponds and the ducks. If you're in Williamsville, you should definitely visit this beautiful park. When my dog alerts me that a hottie is nearby, he gives me a Ten Bark. Then my dog usually runs up to the hottie to see if things Then Spark between us. read more

I checked out the falls tonight, and it's just how I remember it since I had been there a few years ago... super relaxing to put it simply. There's huge rocks to sit on right by a fence to overlook the falls, or benches to sit on facing the falls, but more toward the middle of the park. My brother had his wedding pictures taken here about 15 years ago, and I've known so many other people who have come here to take either wedding pictures, engagement pictures or even prom photos (which I might have done as well, but my memory is a bit foggy at this point for that!). I always love a nice little walk on the trail in the park in the village of Williamsville and I can't wait for summer to spend more nights here! read more

This wonderful little park is located in the heart of Williamsville just off of Main Street. There are two parking lots off of Glen Ave. The northern lot has room for 20 cars, while the southern lot has room for 6. Additional parking can be found off of E. Spring St, near the Red Mill. Ellicott Creek tumbles down a 27 foot falls right along side the park. There are winding trails, interconnected ponds, and beautiful landscaping, accompanied by the sound of the water rushing over the falls. It is a great place for a stroll or even wedding photos. In the spring the falls is very intense when the snow is melting, while during the other seasons it is more serene. In the fall the colors of the changing leaves gives the park a magical feeling. Back in the 60's I remember my parents taking me to the amusement park that they used to have here. I am told it was all kiddie rides that were 5 cents each. Good times... read more

I come here all the time. Rain or shine or snow. Its not huge, but the sound of the falls is relaxing, and its tucked away just enough to feel like an "escape". There is a nice decent size parking lot in the north part of the park (not the side with the falls directly off main st). And while the "hills" in the park are tiny, I have seen kids come to tube and sled after it snows. PLUS its right next to MoorPat. Ok, you caught me, I go to MOORPAT all the time, visiting the park is just a convenient add-on. read more

This park is a local treasure and one or my absolute favorites! It's so beautiful here and the waterfall is amazing and provides the centerpiece of this park. During warmer weather there are often tons of ducks and other waterfowl to watch but don't feed them especially bread! It's very bad for them and causes disease and poisons the water making it toxic to all of the creatures living there. Anyway rant aside, there are beautiful trails and ponds. If you cross Mill street on the other side of the park there are lots of different trails some by the water and others on the hillside. Glen park connects to Amherst State park further down on the trails and all of it is fun to explore! I love this park and I've been so many times and I'll be back many more times! read more

There's a waterfall, weeping willow, bridge and other picturesque spots. There were also a lot of ducks and ducklings when we went (late June.) Very scenic park with lots of shade - accessible during all seasons. The layout is wonderful, mix of ponds, stones, greenery, various trees including willow trees, waterfall, area for fishing, a mill, and more! There's also a paved path through the park. Great spot for picnics, to relax, or take photos! We had our engagement photos taken here and got so many different shots, you can't tell they were all from one place! I love Glen Park. It's a gorgeous park in Williamsville right off of Main Street. Beautiful to go and meditate on a bench or grab a picnic lunch from home or nearby D'Avolio's or Applewood Cafe. There are waterfalls here and a few ponds. Around May, you'll see little ducklings and their parents and a lot of people walking around and enjoying the nice day. There are a lot of little trails -- it's not exactly a place to hike and get lost as it's very contained and organized, but definitely a gorgeous place for a walk. The Creekview Restaurant also has a patio that faces some of the streams that come into this park. Haven't eaten there, but my wife went for lunch the other day and really enjoyed it. It's very nice to go and escape from the busy-ness of Main Street in Glen Park. I highly recommend checking it out if you've never been! read more

Glen Park has become one of my absolute favorite places to visit whenever I take a quick bike ride down to Main Street. Honestly it's the nicest place to be in that area, and I think Williamsville has been doing a fantastic job of cleaning the park up, making it beautiful with flowers and maintaining it the way a park should be kept. With Glen Park's enhanced summer beauty, it has certainly been gaining a lot more attention and popularity. Not one day goes by during the summer that you don't find a couple of people strolling throughout the park at least, letting their kids enjoy all of the sights and even bringing grandma and grandpa along to sit and watch the water; not to mention there's usually always somebody who's got their fishing pole out and are trying to catch something. There's enough around the area not only for sitting and admiring, but scaling rocks and exploring the smaller falls nearest the Mill as well -- something for those who look for something a little more daring when exploring a park, like myself. The best time to come here is definitely during the day, usually not on a weekend or during the afternoon when it's more likely that people will be wanting to take a walk through the area. Personally I like to ride there in the morning, bring lunch with me and sit in the park while I eat. I could spend hours at Glen Park, taking photographs of the ducks and the falls. Signs at the entrance don't allow pets, bicycles, skateboards, ect., which I think is pretty fair considering the terrain and the fact that they probably want to keep the park clean. All in all, I think Glen Park is beautiful all throughout the year, especially in the fall and spring. Be sure to check it out as much as possible throughout the changing seasons. While the atmosphere shifts, it doesn't take away from Glen Park's charm. read more

We've strolled through Glen Park numerous times. It is a quaint park in the heart of the Williamsville Village with a lovely waterfall feature, Glen Falls. It is pretty small, really more for enjoying the waterfall view or the duck pond than any lengthy walking. There are a few benches along the way, but no other amenities. And it is on a somewhat steep hill, so may be a inaccessible if you need accommodations. Glen Park is beautiful year round, but certainly be more careful if the walkway is wet or icy. It is nestled amongst several restaurants and businesses. So if you're shopping or eating nearby, its a fun finale to your festivities, walking by the waterfall or across the bridge that goes over Ellicott Creek itself. The falls are a close walk to Sweet Jenny's Ice Cream, which has been a pleasant combo of activities for a simple family outing for our fam' several times. There is street parking all around the entrance to the park, or across the street there is a larger lot behind the municipal building complex that is just a short walk over to the park. Enjoy a stroll at Glen Falls when you are in the area--serenity awaits! :-D read more

This park is a gem in Williamsville. I love the fact that there's just a waterfall in the middle of the village. It's worth visiting in both summer and winter to see the waterfall. To quote the Backyardigans song, we are into the thick of it but we don't know where we're going. That is quite honestly okay. This entire path is a gnarly maze of tree roots and teenagers, though that could be from the local prom, as everyone is taking their pictures by the falls. Some of the path will lead you to the dully roaring river, while one will lead you to an open field full of trampled on foliage leading you to another park. We met a baby squirrel and even got the opportunity to hold a caterpillar that is hopefully still safely and soundly becoming a butterfly. For the adventurer the unmarked trails are stupendous, but for the feeble footed it is a bit difficult to absorb all the nature around you while you're trying not to trip. It's like a human rollercoaster ride, with some ups and downs, but an experience worth having to get off your lazy hinders and take the hike, with a trail bread crumbs. (Or just cross the street and take the easy way by the waterfall you lazy coots.) read more

Gosh, I've been visiting Glen Park since I was probably six years old. My mom used to bring my brother and I here to feed the ducks. I was in Williamsville this summer and decided to stop by for ol' time sake. There are signs everywhere instructing people to not feed the ducks. So, I'm not sure if my mom was a rebel and just needed a place for us to dispose of our old bread or if this anti-feeding-the-ducks-rule is a new thing. Either way, I kept to myself on this most recent visit and enjoyed the sound of the falls flowing on a beautiful fall day... while seeing the ducks from afar. Most notable at Glen Park are the benches near the waterfall. I can't lie, I brought a book and stayed for a while. Although I should mention I was too distracted by the hottie fishing to actually read my book. A lot of people take prom and/or wedding pictures near the falls. It's a beautiful backdrop. Another highlight is the Wiliamsville Water Mill Complex - a large red mill building which is neat to take pictures of as well. If you want to make a day of this area, I would recommend walking down Main Street in Williamsville, checking out all of the different shops, hanging out in Glen Park, and then grabbing lunch or dinner back on Main Street (or some variation of this). Either way, you are sure to enjoy this tranquil park! read more

Coming across this park was a nice surprise. There is a nice little water fall and pathways to walk and run throughout. There were several beer cans scattered around when I went this past weekend but other than that the area looked fairly maintained. I wish the area was a little bit bigger. There were a lot of people around, couples exercising together, little kids running around and solos like myself taking pictures. Nice place to stop for a little while. read more
