We sat indoors. Four of us had burgers and 1 had a BLT. I am not a big burger eater but these were the absolute best. Will definitely stop back when we are in the area. Service was great. We were greeted when we walked in and they explained you order at counter and have a seat and they billing your food out to you. Not a long wait and we had our food. They also have a farm shop with lots of things from Olive oils, jams and jellies to hats T-shirts and lots more. They also sell fresh meats and foods. Farm to table. Beautiful gardens out front and wildflowers in the back. Definitely check them out!!

The food came out one meal then another, finally 45 mins later the remaining meals came out. Staff seemed confused on our orders . One was wrong. Most of the food was good fries were not hot. Over all disappointing from our previous visits. Lunch was over 100.00 for hamburgers and chicken tenders. Not the 75 th birthday lunch I had anticipated. Think I'll give it some time so they can work out the kinks.

The first thing my husband did was ask about the peaches. Of course that's the reason he went there. My search was for the peach preserves like my great grandmother made. I didn't stop there, I saw many condiments, salad dressings, old fashion candies. They also have a dessert eatery inside. Customer service was very insightful. Because we didn't go for the activities or petting of the animals, I can't write much about that. Overall, on my next visit I will try the famous MiMi's pound cake which they rave about. Also, I want the blueberry donuts which they only have on the weekends. Doggonit, I went to early in the middle of the week. My husband is really enjoying his peaches. A fun fall date!…read more Southern Belle Farm, located in McDonough, provides hours of wholesome fun and free parking. My wife and I arrived on a warm October day to enjoy the pumpkin patch and U-pick flowers. We arrived in the afternoon, but there was plenty of selection and nothing was "picked over." I paid $16 for a quart sized plastic vase for my U-pick flowers. They sell gallon sized buckets as well. Scissors and water are provided. Be mindful of bees in the field. They won't trouble you if you don't trouble them. There is an area in the back for you to arrange the flowers; I took full advantage of this because this trip doubled as a photo shoot. There were all types of people enjoying the farm; IG girls, families, even one couple using a wagon full of pumpkins as a baby announcement. Pumpkins range from $5-$20 each depending on size and breed. A nice young man named Luke helped us corral our pumpkins and carry them to our car. I didn't know they offered that service, but we tipped well. If you run up an appetite, they have a snack bar with fritters, ice cream, and lemonade. I'll be back next fall!

Three years, that's how long I've been driving past the giant billboards for Lane Southern Orchards…read moreon I-75 telling myself "one day we should stop there." Well, this past Saturday my husband and I finally did. The entire property felt like a scene straight out of a Southern postcard. Families were out picking strawberries in the patch, people were relaxing in rocking chairs on the porch with ice cream cones, the café was buzzing, and the roadside market was full of shoppers loading up on goodies. The place was busy but somehow still relaxing. We started in the roadside market where I immediately grabbed one of the little carts because self-control clearly wasn't part of the plan. I stocked up on fresh produce, preserves, ciders, wines, and somehow convinced myself I "needed" adorable wooden earrings from a local artisan. We sampled a few local wines and naturally left with several bottles. The market also has gifts, souvenirs, and and entire section dedicated to dogs/ furry pets. After shopping we headed next door to the café for dessert. They offer cobblers, cakes, pies, homemade ice cream, and enough sweet treats to make you abandon every diet plan you've ever created. My husband is a peach cobbler enthusiast, so ordering their famous peach cobbler was mandatory. According to him, it absolutely lived up to the hype. I went with the peach pound cake and it was moist, buttery, and delicious. Their breakfast and lunch menu also looked really good. If I were road-tripping through the area, this would absolutely be a stop for a meal. It's also definitely going on my list of places to take guests when they come visit Middle Georgia. What really tied everything together was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and full of genuine Southern hospitality. Needless to say, we won't wait another three years before stopping again.

Earlier in the year a friend stopped in and bought a bushel of fresh peaches for me, which I canned. You can't beat Georgia peaches! The store is large, clean, and fully stocked shelves.
