i was so excited to move back to providence and find this salon right in my neighborhood. both jessica and nicole have done my hair - though i have seen nicole more frequently, they are both great. nicole did my first brazilian blowout and did an awesome job. i come in often for wash & flat iron, which easily lasts me a week. nicole will even sometimes give me a quick trim without charging. i LOVE this place and recommend it highly. the women are really nice and welcoming and fun. they are never rushing to finish the job, unlike a lot of salons i am used to. the space itself is clean, tasteful, young, hip. very cool space in what appears to be a converted loft/warehouse. so glad this spot is in my neighborhood! oh and nicole did a great job waxing my eyebrows too! read more

Okay this is long overdue since I got bogged down by school work, but I put this on my to-do list because of how much I love this place and the people who work here. I have 3B curly Middle Eastern hair that most salons do not know how to straighten (I usually always leave with a poofy mess) but Nic did the most amazing job that I got so many compliments from everyone when I left. I have had the same hairdresser I have been seeing for the past 15 years but recently decided to try to branch out and schedule an appointment at Ello Pretty since my normal hairdresser has been extra busy. I got my hair done by Jenna Roncka, the cutest, sweetest, selfless lady. She did not spare on anything when it came to the amount of love, time and hard work she put into my hair! She made sure every detail was perfect - from the start of her consultation where she asked detailed questions about my normal hair routine to my glam days, to the finishing look where she made sure every piece of my hair was looking flawless. Not to mention she talks you through every step and process so you have an exact idea on what she is doing. The facility itself is very clean, beautiful, and very, very ascetically pleasing. The staff is wonderful, so sweet and attentive to every client and extra supportive and helpful to their co-workers as well. I am a working gal in the spa industry as well so it's great to see others supporting each other.
