We started planning a trip and sat down with an agent and we were told they were going to start getting flights planned. We called and emailed the agent as we needed to get the trip planned and they did not return our calls and emails. They apparently were too busy and never followed up with us. We switched travel agents and are very happy we did. read more

Tried to do business with this place twice to no avail. First time they essentially told us we didn't have enough money (without asking for a budget) and all but pushed us out the door. Next time I was told they wouldn't arrange the most essential part of the trip if we weren't already existing clients. Didn't give them the chance to win my business after that - if you are going to profit from my business at least try to pretend you even want it. Never again. read more

Went with Elm Grove Travel for our honeymoon. Found out when we arrived that the hotel was not booked through when our flight left Hawaii. Our flights that we had to book ourselves. We have tried calling and emailing and Elm Grove Travel will not get back to us. I'll change this review if anything changes. UPDATE: We did finally get this sorted with Elm Grove Travel. I will post a longer review once the honeymoon is finished. After coming back and getting a chance to settle in, I went back through everything on this trip and I realized how disappointed I am in Elm Grove Travel. The rooms booked were fine, the rental cars were fine (except that the second car was not for the correct days) and that is about it that was fine. My wife has TSA pre-check and we did provide the known traveler number, but that was not included with the flight Elm Grove Travel booked. Having to pay the last minute fee on the rental car was not fun, and trying to scramble to get a room for the last night was also not fun. Looking back we ended up having to plan and book our days with little to no help from Elm Grove Travel, which was disappointing. I guess I was hoping for more help on things to do while in Hawaii. Looking back, there would have been less stress if I had just booked everything myself. With the large amount the last night cost, I even doubt we saved money overall. read more

We turned out to be very high maintenance clients -- our plans got completely upended at the very last minute, but the travel agents at Elm Grove Travel were super! They helped us cancel one set of flights and rebook others on a moment's notice. They were professional, efficient, detail-oriented, knowledgeable and patient. We booked a trip for my family to Ireland, scheduled for April of 2020. Due to COVID, the trip was cancelled and rescheduled three additional times, the last cancellation in July for an August departure. We just could not make another reschedule work due to job conflicts. The tour company was being very difficult, and was adamant that no refunds would be given for the tour or the air fare which was also purchased as part of the package. Betty Durso and Jenny Cagle REALLY went to bat for us. After going up through the chain of command of the tour company, they got a senior Vice President of the tour company to agree to a full refund of the land portion of the tour ($6500) and air vouchers ($2600) which we can use on any trip, not just ones to Ireland. Needless to say, we are thrilled to get our money back! It was a long and tough slog for Betty and Jenny, and they handled the whole situation with a professionalism not found in many companies anymore. We are so glad we had someone to help fight our battle, which is so much more than we would have gotten from a self booking on the Internet. It has been a long time since I have used a travel agency to book a vacation and Cindy at Elm Grove Travel delivered an awesome package for my trip to Riviera Maya. All I had to do was provide her with a price range and she took care of the rest. We were very happy with the non-stop flight, the all inclusive resort with ocean side room and transportation to and from the resort. Thanks to Elm Grove Travel we had the most amazing wedding in Montego Bay Jamaica! Our rep Cindy Dodds helped us from the very beginning. She helped us decide on a location for our wedding and trust me we were all over the board on where we wanted to go. We couldnt be happier with her suggestion of Secrets in Montego Bay. It was everything we could have imagined and more. Cindy helped coordinate all 25 of our guests and ensured they would all get there safely. We were always in constant contact and apprecaited the mailed itinerary from her and her staff. We felt comfortable to contact her during the entire wedding process. She most certainly went above and beyond her daily job duties to make sure we were connecting with the resort and Apples to make sure our stay during our wedding was one of a kind. The Apple Vacation Rep at Secrets was very helpful. We had a large group and she did her best to get us all on the same excursions. Elm Grove Travel and Cindy always had our best interests in mind.
