We used Bayside Travel for a family trip and I found working with them to be incredibly frustrating. The travel agent we were working with was difficult to get into contact with and not very responsive to phone calls and/or emails. The pricing constantly changed and we didn't get an itinerary until shortly before the trip. Not being able to know the cost or schedule of our (international) vacation until a couple of weeks before departure made this trip unnecessarily stressful and frustrating. read more

We use Bayside travel frequently! Every one of their agents are knowledgeable about the destinations. We travel quite a bit, and we try to go places that not many that we know have gone. If they don't know something about the itinerary or destination, they find out. In one instance we had an issue with some information we got from one of their vendors (the mistake was NOT from Bayside Travel) and they made sure they made it 'right' for us. I used Bayside Travel to book my Jamaica resort for my friends destination wedding. (see previous review) I used my own frequent flyer miles for the airfare on Delta. I was scheduled to fly Mpls-Atl-Montego Bay, but my plane to Atl had mechanical issues and was delayed causing me to miss the last Delta flight of the day to Montego Bay. I had to get there for a grooms dinner! I called Bayside Travel (even though they hadn't booked my air) their agent Lauren got on the phone immediately with Delta to find a way to get me to Jamaica, while another agent calmed me and walked me through various scenarios. Bayside Travel was able to get Delta to transfer me to another airline once I got to Atlanta, and I made it to Jamaica that night. They delivered this GREAT customer service, and they hadnt even booked my airline ticket for me! Without Bayside Travel, I would have been on my own in Atlanta, and staying overnight hoping to get on a morning flight out.
