    Cute exterior

We found Elm Street Eatery on Yelp! while traveling through Lebanon on I-44. It is less than a mile to the west of the interstate and worth the stop. I ordered 2 eggs over easy, extra crispy bacon, hash browns and coffee. The eggs were perfectly cooked as ordered with no runny whites and very runny yolks. The hash browns were shredded potatoes that were light, nicely browned without being stuck in a clump and the bacon was fall apart crisp, just like I ordered. I ordered French toast on white bread because I prefer it when the batter soaks through the bread and some places that use Texas toast do not let the batter soak through it. Their French toast was perfect. Plenty of batter was used to assure the entire piece of bread was saturated and it was thoroughly grilled to a brown exterior and warm creamy interior. The coffee was fresh and not bitter. Finally, the service was excellent and friendly. We will stop there again on our way through.

Delicious breakfast i got the small breakfast with bacon and French toast added 2 eggs. Hubby got 4 pieces of French toast. Haven was our server and did everything perfectly. Great employee. Cute place. On famous Rt 66.

The food wasn't nearly as good as it was the first time around. The rings were burnt on one side, and they had the burnt side down on the plate as if you wouldn't take one bite and realize something wasn't right. They redid them for me which was nice but I'm left wondering how you burn only one side of a friend onion ring.

Best breakfast in town! The smoked ham they use is phenomenal. The service is top notch. If you go on a weekend there will most likely be a wait, but its worth it.

    Nice restaurant.

Great little dinner for breakfast or lunch. They do all the normal breakfast items and serve it all day. They have some of the best burgers I tried in this area of Mizzu. You can get 1/4lb or 1/2 lb hand made burgers with you choice of toppings. Located on a corner street downtown

Nice neighborhood style restaurant that gives you good food at a good price. The thing I really liked was that they offer half portion meals for those days when you're not starving and just want a light meal. I got the Alfredo Pasta with garlic bread. It was nice and creamy and a perfect portion for appetite.my wife got a BLT that had thick bacon.

"The best food in Lebanon!" said a patron exiting as we were entering. Admittedly, other than the ubiquitous fast food, there are not dozens of options, but this home-style cafe has a nicely varied menu of American favorites, most prices hovering around $10. This place is especially popular at breakfast, but for lunch we enjoyed a delicious off-menu grilled Chicken Berries Salad as good as at any "trendy" restaurant. No smoking, no alcohol, just good food served all day long. If you go in the evening or on the weekend, ask for Jen, a courteous and competent server with great communication skills and kind sense of humor.

My Jamaican chicken melt was a good portion & came out hot & with gooey cheese. Be fair warned that this does have some spice to it as intended. I opted for the cheesy grits as I wanted to stray away from the typical side. They were so flavorful & cheesy with a little kick, outstanding! The steak my BF and DIL French onion soup were very delicious & flavorful as well. Don't let the outside make you question the great food & service that inside. This is clearly a hidden spot that will be in our rotation to eat during our annual stay.

We followed the recommendations of other reviews and they did not disappoint. The gyro was massive, possibly enough for two people. The strawberry Fields salad was delicious with lots of blueberries, strawberries, goat cheese and candied pecans. The French onion soup gets two thumbs up from my husband. It was quite hearty with a nice ratio of onions, bread, cheese, and broth. It came out with a little pair of scissors so you could cut the cheese into bite-size pieces and not have it all come off in one spoonful. They offer local sodas, Excel brand as well as Boba and wine. The portions of everything we saw were quite large, quick friendly service and the food was delicious. We would definitely come back again.
