Great place if you are expecting a small diner experience. That's exactly what they offer, it's what they do. They play the part of a small diner, it doesn't feel authentic, but they did a good job of looking like one. The food is on par. Nothing special, nothing to write home about. The burger is what you'd expect, the fries are diner fries, the club is something you'd expect from a place that serves burgers,fries, onion rings, chicken strip. This is such a cute little restaurant. I love the juke restaurant atmosphere. Definitely gives early 1950's vibes. Service was great. And the tables stayed clean and clear once a family left. No dirty dishes or food were left on tables. It gives the appearance that the restaurant is clean and presentable. The food was delicious. Everyone in my family enjoyed their plates. I ordered a BLT. They were not being greedy with the bacon! My son ordered a burger and it was huge! He said it was juicy and the Fries were crispy too! Thank you for being open on Thanksgiving Day. My son graduated bootcamp the day before and we had no plans for dinner the next day. We aren't from the area and didn't have a kitchen to cook a big dinner. So this was very much appreciated! Despite the slightly worn appearance, my server was very friendly and efficient. I ordered the Tenderloin dinner with mashed potatoes and corn. The tenderloin was hand-breaded and served with country gravy, which was a bit unexpected as I hadn't read the menu description closely. While the gravy wasn't bad, it wasn't my preference. The mashed potatoes seemed homemade but were a bit dry. Overall, the meal was decent but not particularly memorable. read more

A fun meal stop just off the highway. Architecturally, it mimics the old steel train cars that made the original breakfast-all-day and American comfort meal eateries. The menu here continues that, too. Our burger was a juicy third-pounder. A roast beef sandwich was made with excellent rye bread and came with homemade potato chips. I went to the Route 66 Diner for dinner and had a wonderful experience! There were almost no cars in the parking lot so I was a little skeptical at first, but this diner did not disappoint. The diner takes you back to the 50s with all the interior decorations and music. The waitress I had was lovely and checked on me throughout my meal. I had the Route 66 Burger with fries. Although it was nothing to write home about, it was seasoned well and cooked to my liking. Just a classic American burger. This diner, however, I would say is more a go to for the vibe, and less about the food. read more

It's right next to a crackle barrel and man I feel bad for the crackle barrel this place has far better food especially the biscuits and gravy the chicken fried steak the hash row s the pancakes and the list goes on!!! We almost missed this place after getting into town. We ventured forth from our hotel in search of evening vittles. I spotted this chrome beauty and as my husband and I have a soft spot for mid century and route 66 nostalgia and atmosphere, we decided to take a chance and eat somewhere local we had never been before. What a wonderful chance to take! He ordered chicken fried steak, and I opted for the meatloaf, which comes with fried onions and a molasses glaze. We were n the only ones there and received fantastic service from our waitress. The prices were excellent and the portions were plentiful. I came here for dinner on my first night of my work trip to FLW. I had previously driven past here and never thought to stop. I so wish I could have stopped here before. The food is good quality diner food. I was able to get my burger exactly the way I wanted it. I order it with fries and and a root beer float. The float came out and it was so refreshing and nice; it had been a while since I had one and it was very nice. The burger was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The fries were okay. However, one of the others in the restaurant complained about the fries. We both got replacement fries right away. These were free and they were much better the first batch of fries. Today, it was packed between 09-10 -- then, a cranky waitress quit! The staff scrambled, the two waitresses divided the quitter's tables and kicked into even higher gear, the kitchen assistant lent a hand w/the tables, and the owner's husband started busing tables! "Team" doesn't only apply when things are running smoothly -- I saw a great Team today. I had great chow -- I eat breakfast here about 1x per week. Cooked to perfection this huge awesome beef patty with a savory mix of melted cheese, cream cheese & blue cheese crumbles and then covered in monterrey jack cheese was DELICIOUS! We got here on a Saturday morning/ brunch time and it was pretty busy but at this point was dying down. We walked in and awkwardly stood by the door because we weren't sure if you were suppose to seat yourself or not. We finally got noticed and got told to sit in the back booth. We ordered coffee and water to start with and had an attentive server. I think her name was Morgan? She was really sweet and brought our food out quickly and always asked if we needed anything. However, we got the check and did not know you get charged for every coffee refill- no biggie- but thought that was different. I do want to try their hamburgers but not sure if we will be here long enough for that! The food was good. But I am giving it a terrible experience because when I got home I found out that my card was charged an extra $100. And this was added after I had already signed my bill and put zero down for the tip and put my total on the receipt. And the experience wasn't worth my waitress having a $100 tip when we had left cash on the table for her. Also she never came back to check on us. All of our drinks was empty and my son who had just graduated from basic training never got his ranch for his appetizer. To say the serve was minimum is an understatement. I tried to call the diner twice and left messages with no response so I've had to file a fraud claim with my bank. If you want to go there I would recommend paying in cash!!! read more

I love soda shop diners like this, the people there are always so sweet and the food is always so amazing. I thought I'd review this one because it topped some of my expectations! They had one waiter running the place when we were there and it still was very efficient. I got a milkshake and it was amazing, as was all the other foods I tried too. The chicken fried steak is supposedly the worlds largest, but it was average size and average tasting. I sat at the counter and what a treat it was, listening to the old time rock-n-roll and choosing my breakfast. I ordered the eggs and chicken fry and was not disappointed. The biscuit wasn't how mamma cooked them but it wasn't bad. That is honestly the only thing I didn't care for but it may be a matter of preference.
