He explained the noises I was hearing so I left my car there and they are very busy. Brian called me back and told me what I needed. He said he would try and get the car fixed by Saturday so I asked him if I can make an appointment for during the week because I needed my car to get home and to go somewhere the next day. My car really wasn't safe. The axle was making a loud clunking noise. He went out of his way to have my car ready by closing time Friday. The work that was done to my car was top notch. The car needed a complete assessment of the engine cylinder heads and a question of whether the challenges, length of time, repairs needed and expense would be worth the money. In the end, I decided it was all worth it, largely because I trusted Ralph and his team. I found Farrow's to be thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and communicative. Not so from a local dealer's Subaru service department which may have actually contributed to the problems with the engine (but I'll never know that for sure). My car was with Ralph and team for almost two months. Ralph never sugar coated anything -- was forthcoming about the time it would take for parts, repairs, etc, and the costs. They were diligent in working to diagnose the root cause, not just symptoms, to get it right. I picked up my car yesterday and needless to say: it's running great -- like having a completely new car (at 120k miles in).
