Don't bother and find a different mechanic. I called and set up a day to drop off my car. Dropped off my car at 7am on a Monday. It was after 1pm and I hadn't heard from anyone regarding my car, so, I called them. Brian answered the phone and quickly handed it over to Vincent. Vincent gave me a quick rundown of what he found but he was still trying to figure out what my car needed. He told me he'd give me a call back in 10 min because he was busy. I totally understood and said it was fine. 2 HOURS later, no call. I ended calling them and I was told I would get a call back in 15 min. Another 1.5 hrs and no call. I call them and no one picked up the phone. They close at 5pm and it was now 4:30pm with no answer. Since they are a walking distance from me, I start to head over to their shop. I FINALLY get the call back from Brian at 4:39pm but at this point, I no longer wanted whatever service they thought I needed. That call should have been made to me HOURS prior. $300 to be ignored. When you tell someone you're going to call them back and you don't, you are no longer trust worthy. Very disappointed read more

When looking for a Saab repair center, LaDuca Auto Service was a viable source for service on our 2003 Saab 9.3 The car was bought new and through the years used as a Temporary vehicle between my three grand-children until a newer car could be bought. Over the years, whenever a problem arises, I would take it to Vincent ,with full confidence that he knew the car had to be reliable but more importantly safe. Our recent service was for a blown head head gasket. Instead of suggesting, a costly repair he advised me to donate the car our dispose of it in any other means. Not good news...but logical. After all these years of having the Saab as a backup, it was hard to let go. A few days later, I spoke to him and he recommended a temporary solution, adding a head gasket sealant to the engine. Not something he would normally do, but in this situation, a can't lose choice. Having used a product for the sealant, it didn't work..I thought I might have misused the product, but Vincent suggested we remove the thermostat, which he did a no cost. That solved the problem, no overheating or coolant lose. In my dealings with Vincent, I never doubted his knowledge, but I also never doubted his honesty. I went in and spoke with Vince and was impressed that he is a Saab devotee, has all the software, etc. So, I took the car in because virtually all of my warning lights flashed on one day, but then disappeared. He ran a complete and thorough check of all codes and confirmed it was a random communication error and there was nothing at all wrong with anything on the car. The cost was reasonable. Got referral from a neighbor to this shop as reasonable alternative to dealer service. I had oil service, fluid checks, etc. done by them, and also will have parts of the alternator serviced. As other reviews have mentioned, seemed like a busy shop and they took time to explain what they were doing and answer questions. In terms of cost, they are v. competitive vs. dealer, for the equivalent of "A" service on a Benz, cost came out to $136, including oil and filter versus $213 at the Golden Bridges dealer. I have been bringing my vehicles to Laduca for about 20 years, originally in the Chappaqua location, and more recently, in Pleasantville, and have recommended them to many times to family and friends. This is not a glitzy high volume corporate-owned place with WiFi, comfy couches, courtesy coffee, and cable TV; this is an old-fashioned, independently-owned, down-and-dirty, low overhead auto repair shop where you drop your car off and come back for it when its done. That said, they have highly trained, certified mechanics that know their craft well and are equipped to handle pretty much anything you need in the world of automotive repair. Vincent and his team are a rarity in the auto repair industry in that they are honest and fair in their dealings with customers, and do quality work at reasonable prices. They are not out to try and take advantage of people, and instead try to nurture long-term cuistomer relationships. They will also take the time to explain their diagnosis of a problem along with the estimated cost, and get customer approval before proceeding with any major repairs. They always seem to diagnose the issue correctly on the first try (and believe me, I have had some crazy things happen with my vehicles over the years), and although you may not always like the news, the car gets the needed repairs, and the problem is resolved. They don't "guess" at the problem and start swapping out parts, they only replace what's necessary, and try to save you money whenever possible. Estimates have always been extremely close to the actual bill, and on several occasions have actually been less than estimated. On the one or 2 occasions when something was not completed to my satisfaction, it was immediately addressed and rectified. In conclusion, Vincent and his crew are a good bunch of honest, hard working straight-shooters, and they try hard to do the right thing for their customers. Vinnie and his crew at LaDuca Auto are the most reliable and honest repair facility I have ever experienced. For example, another dealer whose name I won't mention, was brought my daughters 2009 SUV for her 36,000 mile warranty-included check-up. They recommended no less than $900 worth of "needed" repairs including new brake pads, a water pump, all new belts and other repairs I would generally trust from the dealer who sold us the car brand new. In this case I didn't. The car drove as always, the brakes worked and yes, the tires did look to need replacement in the next 10,000 miles (they were 50,000 mile tires). Tey quoted me nearly $1000 just for the tires. Naturally, I paid the usual rip-off fees for shop supplies etc., something supposedly included with the 3 year everything- covered warranty just to get the heck out of there and not waste time arguing with these rip-off artists. I'm a lawyer and still didn't want to waste my time with them. I drove right over to Vinnie LaDuca where I have always brought my older used cars (2 Prius' and one Audi Allroad, a very temperamental car and one that the Audi dealer up near Mohegan has constantly tried to charge me no less than 30% more than Vinnie for the exact same repairs over the years. I wanted Vinnie to confirm what the Dealer told me about this literally new and well-cared for Nissan. Sure enough, he reported 2 hours later that not a single repair Nissan claimed was needed under any circumstances, Even the brake pads had another 30,000 miles on them. But in fairness, he did recommend installing new tires since the snow was coming and although the tires had about 10,000 miles left, he told me he would want his daughter to be safer with new tires. He installed 4 new ones for less than $600! In the recent past, I don't even ask Vinnie to waste time calling me to ask permission to fix my cars. I even leave him a blank check trusting that his integrity and honesty will never serve me wrong. He is a gem and I would recommend him without reservation in any way . I have been going to Laduca Auto for several years now. He is my trusted mechanic for cars that are new and used. A timing belt change for my VW Passat was $1,300 at the VW local dealer, Laduca did it for under $800 using VW parts, and his work is under a guaranty. He changed a light bulb for a front light in my car; I had purchased the light and he put it in at no charge. It was not drivable and so we left it in their lot. They called me right back and said they would do their best to get it done that day. They were courteous, honest and timely.
