    BBQ Chicken

This place caught my attention when they were running a 1 yr anniversary special 50% off everything. So we decided to give them a try . We ordered chicken platter , piccadhino platter , and mixed bbq platter . They were all full of flavor and hearty servings . The chicken was nice and juicy . The mixed BbQ had ribs which were delicious and the meat came off the bone nicely, sausage was good along with the short ribs and chicken This definitely a good dish to try if you want variety. The piccadhino had good flavor with a mix of pork, chicken beef and shrimp along peppers and potatoes( some of the meat was a little tough but flavors made up for it . Also decided to get the grilled red snapper it was so good . We definitely made out with the portions it feed us for days . They are very casual spot with only have a few tables inside and service pretty on point I called in the order and the gentleman said 45 minutes and our order was ready to go on time . I definitely would recommend this spot if you are looking for some Portuguese style bbq .

Legitimately the size of their sauces to go! You gotta be kidding me.

We were greeted when we walked in by the young man behind the counter as we were getting the young ones settled. It was a simple vibe inside with long bench seats and huge tables. Ordering was easy, we got the boss family combo and a half pound of the pastrami (my favorite). The food was out quick, the service was great and they checked on us multiple times to make sure everything was good. The food was great, not too Smokey (like liquid smoke), and the different BBQ side options were excellent. The Mac n Cheese was some of the best I've ever had out. My kids enjoyed the meat and sides alike. I would recommend this to anyone who wants high quality BBQ right here in NJ. Service was great, they really took care of us, and the food was excellent. 5/5 stars!

I absolutely loved the baked beans and the corn bread was light but sticky- just great. Honestly, everything was excellent.

This place definitely has made my list of places to suggest for work parties &/or retirement dinners. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of everything. I won't do individual Grades this time, as Rodizio is a non-stop assortment of meats & cuts. There was no "weakest link" in this. This place is 1000% made for meat eaters. My favorite was the Chicharron, chicken wrapped in bacon, and the lamb. The French fries were delicious. The sweet plantains were a nice touch and I couldn't get enough. Honestly, I can't say I ate anything bad this night. I look forward to being back.

The staff is very friendly and they all were working very hard to get everyone's orders ready. The staff is very nice. I placed my order to go for (2) half orders of BBQ Chicken Combo. A 1/2 order comes with a half a chicken cut up into 4 pieces of bbq chicken, a choice of yellow rice, black or red beans, fries, or salad. They also serve several different types of homemade Empanadas, Yuca, and Fried Bananas. This is not a big place. There are a couple of tables and a few counter seats. I saw in their refrigerator they have ready to go desserts. I added 2 Flans to go with my order. When I got home I was really surprised. They didn't skimp on our orders. They gave me 1/2 a chicken cut up into 4 nice pieces of chicken which was juicy with a side of hot sauce and a side of their bbq sauce. Both sauces were good. I also got an abundance of delicious yellow rice with some veggies in it. I chose black beans which came in a separate container. I enjoyed everything and so did my boyfriend. For dessert we each got a flan. I was truly surprised. My flan was super creamy, it had lots of caramel sauce on the bottom. The flan was so very good I couldn't stop eating it. I highly recommend trying their dessert. They also sell Tres Leche Cake,Rice Pudding, Oreo Cake,Tiramisu, Cheese Cake, Carrot Cake, and Red Velvet Cake. Dunellen BBQ offers an extensive menu. They offer chicken, steak, and seafood along with kebabs and sandwiches. There is a free parking lot next door. It's small bc they share it. There's also some street parking. I would definitely recommend trying this place especially their BBQ chicken platter.

I don't often see Canh Chua Thom on menus at Vietnamese restaurants, and enjoyed it here. It's a tangy sweet and sour tamarind based soup that pairs well with rice, and feels nice and comforting especially on a cold day. I also tried the Banh Xeo appetizer (crispy pancake) and loved it! I appreciated that they offer different protein options besides the standard shrimp. The owners/staff here also seem so lovely. I overheard them greeting regulars as well as families they haven't seen in a long time, and it just felt so warm and personable. I'd definitely come back again to try their other dishes.

Pictures of the restaurant's food are everywhere as well, with some of them taped to the refrigerator behind the counter and others being depicted on canvases that hang on the white walls. Silk lanterns dangle from the ceiling in different colors and the walls are adorned with cultural items too. We ordered the following: Tra Thai, which is Thai Iced Tea- this was pretty good Soda Hot Ga, which is egg yolk with soda - hubs enjoyed it and liked it A2- Goi Cuon, which are spring rolls that are rice paper stuffed with shrimp, egg and noodles. It came with peanut sauce but we opted for fish sauce because of our daughter's peanut allergy. The rice paper wasn't soft and it felt rubbery. It was hard at the edges and made us wonder if it was premade. We wished it was fresher. S21 Bun Rieu, which is crab meat pork in tomato shrimp paste noodle soup. Daughter liked it and wasn't disappointed by it. D4- Mi Xao Dơn Do Biển, which is a combination of seafood and vegetables stir fried in a light sauce and served over crispy noodles. I was a little disappointed with this entree. We expected it to be egg noodles but it wasn't. There was hardly any proteins but mostly vegetable fillers. A9- Banh Xeo, which is coconut and rice flour crepe filled with a savory combination of bean sprouts and shrimp that's served on a bed of lettuce. This was ok but it wasn't as soft. The omelet tasted like it was overdone. I'm not sure if it was because we just came back from our trip to Los Angeles where all the Vietnamese food were top-notch but I felt a little disappointed with this place. Service was quick and friendly. Glad we got to try this place!

We did the combo, and the portions were very generous--especially the garlic rice, which was fluffy, aromatic, and perfectly garlicky. Easily one of the highlights of the meal.
