I had been in the remodeling…read morebusiness for 9 years and it seemed to continue to get worse. 250k in debt with a secondary lender at 20 plus percent, consistently not being able to pay my company bills on time, barely making payroll week to week, it was ugly and getting worse by the month. I knew I needed help but how the heck was I able to afford it and what did they know that I didn't after all these years in business?? But I was at the end of my business rope and getting worse so I took a gamble and called Contractors Coach. After an interview describing my issues they set me up with Tom Pearson and honestly, it changed my business life (which changed my personal life). Today is May 29, 2024 and everything has changed. I have paid my (I kid you NOT) secondary note off, have gone from negative financial numbers to a gross profit of 30%, total expenses under 14%, and a net income of over 15%. Here's a tip, if you don't understand what these numbers mean (like I didn't 6 months ago) you will continue to struggle. Among other things, Tom taught me to read my financials which helped me understand what was wrong and what was right. He immediately identified a flaw in my estimating process then week after week we tutored the financials until I could understand where my money was going and how to make the numbers work. There is no quick fix when you are in as deep as I was. But having an understanding of how to climb out of the hole and the patience to put in the right financial practices over the course of only 6 months is absolutely remarkable. Kind, witty, knowledgeable, non-judgmental, he's a wonderful balance to get you on the right road. But I have to say there is ONE huge issue with the guy, sadly, he's a 49ers fan.
