Then another park for kids to play and there's a bathroom. Along the way you cross several cool bridges. There's many sitting spots that you can ponder or rest. Great photo opportunities for people looking to take school, engagement photos, etc. There's a creek that runs along the walk with lots of spots to cool off or take in the sights. The duck pond is fun and they have a duck and fish food vending machine for 25 ¢ for a handful of food. We saw a few people fishing catch & release from the pond. From the map, it's a 2 mile walk one way with an additional 1 mile path in the same direction that we did not walk. Easy hike with a well placed path the entire way. Handicap friendly. Great for jogging as well.

Campgrounds are clean, lots of amenities, and campground owners are super kind people! We stayed for 4 nights, and our campsite was $48/night before tax. We initially booked through HipCamp, but I'll definitely be booking with the owner directly (www.TNwaterfallgetaway.com) for all future visits to their campground! My fiance and I booked the TrampEase Tree Tent - one of seven beautiful, hand-built campsites that range from primitive to full-on glamping. Our campsite was a mix of both. It included an elevated yurt tent, fire pit, round table, 2 folding camping chairs, and a private composting toilet in a nearby outhouse. Not to mention a flowing creek less than 50 feet from the yurt! The tranquil sound of the creek flowing 24/7 was even better than sleep-sounds on my Google Home. LOL! Most of the campsites have drive-up access, though if you have a car that's particularly low to the ground (like a small sedan) you may not want to risk driving over the rocky road. We brought with us a 1" inflatable mattress pad, along with a sleeping bag, and 2 thick, warm blankets. Despite being mid-May, the average temps during our visit were 60-70 F during the day, and a chilly 40-45 F at night. Brilliant weather for snuggling, but we would have regretted not bringing a few extra blankets. Lots of hiking and trails to explore on their property, and at least a mile of rugged creek terrain that makes for a fun, albeit challenging day of rock climbing. Well worth it for the stunning views of the waterfalls, canyons, and mountainsides. There are also trails and lakes nearby for hiking, kayaking, and a number of other outdoor attractions in Tracy City. The owners, Grant & Becky, were such friendly people. My fiance and I had a lovely chat with them about philanthropy, community outreach, homestead farming, and more. They are warm, kind, and welcoming to people of all ages, races, religions, genders, identities, abilities, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideologies. They have done a lot of traveling and business throughout their lives, and now they are semi-retired in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Speaking of ability - the majority of the glamping sites have tents that are elevated from the ground; some, like the one we stayed in, required climbing a 10 foot ladder to enter/exit the tent. There are some other sites though that are more accessible with tents low to the ground, or primitive sites where you can pitch your own tent. Contact the owner (www.tnwaterfallgetaway.com/contact) to ask about the best accommodation options for you. They offer great amenities and fun activities around the property during your stay. The owners are big on being self-sufficient, so they love to offer fun learning experiences regarding farming, gardening, and homesteading. They also enjoy metal work and have some cool art pieces around their property. We even did a welding project (for a small fee) and made an original piece of art as a keepsake from our trip! You can also get some convenience items from the owners for a fee: firewood bundles, champagne & ice, property tours, guided tours of their city, and more. HIGHLIGHT OF OUR TRIP: Grant was also kind enough to swing by our campsite one morning to ask if we had any interest in bees! He has a few hives and some extra gear, so we got an up-close look into the hives! It was absolutely mesmerizing! Beautiful, fairly easy hike with clear trails and lots of wildlife. The fall foliage was really…read moregorgeous and even though I hiked this on a Saturday, it wasn't crowded at all. Make sure to hike in the correct direction! I followed the 3.3 mile blue trail from Hill City then Double J then Gig City, with a quick detour to the overlook. Really pleasant relaxing hike and easy to get to. This took me about an hour and half--really enjoyable! I can see it being a good trail for running as well.

Stringers Ridge was one of them so my fur friend and I headed that way yesterday just before noon. We enjoyed exploring the part of the area at the parking lot level, leaving the main trail for a week day when it may be less populated. The parking lot looked like it could hold about 10 cars. There's a smaller loop trail on one side of the parking lot. We saw beautiful views of the Fall leaves on all the trees and blue sky. The entrance plaque is an art piece. There's a couple benches and a picnic table to relax by. And plenty of new forestry smells for my beagle lady to explore. A great outdoor experience overall. We'll be back.

It can be such a relaxing place to enjoy nature and contemplate life. The Chickamauga creek runs through here and you see people kayaking on it. There are great hiking trails and they have classes you can take. It's really a wonderful place and I'm so glad Chattanooga takes such pride in it's natural surroundings.

They take professional photos of you on the hike to commemorate you & your group in action & posing! They have a quick turnaround also with access to your edited picture gallery. So no timer settings on cameras or one person out of the group pics! Oh! Best of all? The group hike is private! You won't have any randos with you! I had an awesome time! Communication was excellent from the time I inquired about booking a hike all the way through the end! They are highly responsive! I received confirmation via email & text. However, when I had questions I texted directly and a couple of days before the hike and the morning of the hike they sent me texts for updates. A waiver is required to be signed the day of the hike in person. Bug spray was provided prior to our hike. I chose to do the Soul therapy hike for my birthday because it offers a variety of scenery. It was one of my favorite hikes I've done over the years. It ranged from views above the falls down to close up views touching the water. Although, you can take a super short cut to the falls, it is still a steep path down into the gorge. We took the longer trail which is even more scenic involving various beautiful views and overlooks, tall walls of sandstone and one major steep descent of rocks into the gorge which requires a lot of careful footing placement & maybe 1-2 areas ( the rock wall or a random tree trunk) to hold onto for balance. Honestly, if I didn't have Hope & Ryan as guides and I was doing the hike on my own with just friends, I probably would have taken one look down that steep of a sea of rocks and said let's go another way. Hahaha.. But Hope was leading and offered her arm as balance support if needed, which I took a few times. Slow & steady my friends. Along the way, we also crossed two cool bridges as well. The falls were pretty and kind of reminded me of the Salto do Prego waterfall in Sao Miguel. It was a wonderful time with Hope & Ryan where we were able to learn about the area, the wildflowers and rest on the way back to our hotel in their nice, clean , comfortable and AC SUV while snacking on the way back & having good conversation. They also provide some coupons to local restaurants and shops, & an EXPERIENCE CHATTANOOGA sticker. They were kind enough to accommodate picking us up last minute at a local breakfast place that we had walked to from our hotel since, it was close to our pick up time. We really appreciated it! They offer many different hikes and different levels. If I had been there a whole week, I would have probably booked the all day waterfalls tour and the alpaca farm & coffee tour too!
