Beautiful short hike on a rocky hill. The trail was lovely with lots of trees and I enjoyed seeing the waterfall! Such a beautiful spot in nature! I came during rainy season and the rocks were definitely slippery so please be mindful of that and were your hiking shoes to stay safe. Nice easy trail. We came at the last week of October so we didn't really see the waterfall, but I bet it looks great in the Spring. The trail was still stunning though with all the fall foliage which is the reason why we came. None of us are particularly fit but we managed just fine took us just so ver an hour each way. Next time I would bring a picnic. Another thing, check the weather before you go. It was quite warm for late October, we were shedding layers like there was no tomorrow. I wish I had worn a tank top. Also the terrain is not difficult but hiking shoes are definitely the best option, but you'd be fine wearing sneakers. read more

If you aren't a hiker, it's going probably to be rated a 2, but if you are, then you are going to l I ke it. It took us like 2 hours back and forth. The trail was very rocky, unstable, and rough to walk on it. After 20 minutes, it's just more of the same. I don't know if it was because of the season, but the stream of water was very tiny and thin. There comes more water out of a faucet. Some people turned around in the middle of it, and some other people went beyond the main point. It was a good exercise, though. I posted 3 of the prettiest spots that I saw and of a map that is at the entrance. I won't do it again't but it was a one in a lifetime thing for me. read more

Happy Short Hike, Little Waterfall & Bridge No admission fees, park passes or anything needed but some decent footwear. Parking is tricky here. The spot can be tricky for the first timer. It is the spot with 10-12 parking spots on the cliff side of the road usually all fulfilled with cars. Be careful: Winding mountain road with people driving faster than the speed limit where you have a blind pull out into traffic from the roadside parking. There is a cool little spot going through the rocks my son was amused climbing in. Nice little area for sure. There is a lower falls area and the upper falls are the cooler spot for pictures. This might be a better spot after a little rain or when show is melting. The water fall wasn't flowing much in our visit but still worth the short hike to being in the woods and recharge the batteries in the brain. read more

Oh wow this spot was lots of fun!!! I definitely Recommend going to sunset rock first then on your way back down hill go to glen falls as parking was a lot easier to access!! Now I don't think this was the time of year (October) where there was a lot of water to create a better stream of water for the falls but this was a great hike up! Now don't get lost continuing straight down the trail once you pass the bridge! Make sure to go where my finger in the picture below is pointed. It's a staircase going up into a small like cave and continues up! For the larger open falls area! So much fun! Just don't be like me and go jumping down any rocks! You may fall!!! For starters it is a very rocky trail so have some good shoes on. It only took us probably 10 minutes to reach the first waterfall. Kept climbing up towards some steps through a cave and saw more waterfalls. I had a blast and definitely a workout to start my Monday . Rocks were slippery on the falls but that didn't stop us from getting on them. Had plenty of great picture views and would definitely try this trail again. Probably took only an hour or so to do most of the trail and turn back around . read more

I really wanted to go to Lula falls, but who knew it required making a reservation??!- so to ensure my trip was not in vain I decided to find Glen Falls Trail. As noted by another Yelper, you have not arrived when the GPS. Tells you you have. Continue o drive south until you see a small parking area. There is a sign that tells you that the trail starts, but it is likely blocked by a vehicle. I consider the trail to be fairly easy. There is only moderate elevation. You can gear the falls prior to arriving at it. The day I went there had not been a ton of rain so I did not get to experience it in all it's glory. Note- there are steps that lead up to higher elevation just behind the waterfall, so keep going! read more

A very nice and easy hike with some rocky terrain and small obstacles. We did this hike with one of the dogs. The only thing we did not enjoy was the couple we came across that had their dog loose and no control over the dog. It charged our dog and the owner didn't care at all about the hazard she was placing others in with her carelessness. Parking is located in a pull-off and can hold 6-10 cars if everyone parks properly and with care. The hike is 0.5 out and back again unless you want a longer hike and choose to hike all the way to the end (0.9 mile each way). You can also further extend your hike by incorporating more of the nearby trails. Glen Falls has both lower and upper falls. The lower is accessible by leaving the trail but, this in not recommended due to all the poison ivy that carpets the area. The upper falls is accessible via a stone stairway and short cave pass. There is also a little pool that would be perfect for wading in during the hotter months. ***Be cautious of break-ins*** This trailhead parking area has a history of break-ins and caution is advised. Stowing of all valuables is advised before reaching the parking area. read more

No parking lot at the beginning, came late afternoon on a weekday, saw only two other people the entire time. Dead leaves and dead trees as expected, path was mostly dry and not slippery. Waterfall only had a tiny bit of water but the stone path to the overlook was cool! Short and sweet trail, good for a stroll. read more

This is a great little hike! The trail is clear and not very technical and only has gradual elevation changes and some stairs. It is not very long, only about a mile out and back. If you do desire a more challenging hike, you can make it that! We took a little extra time and crossed over the water by navigating over rocks and trees. There is also an opportunity to do some more technical climbing. This is a perfect hike for kids that like to explore, but don't have the stamina or attention span for a long distance hike. We took a 3 year-old and 11 year-old and they both enjoyed it. The 3 year-old boy loved navigating the rocks to cross over the water. The parking her can be challenging and easily missed as you approach the trail head. Drive slow as you approach so you don't pass it and have to go further up the mountain and turn around. read more

This is a really good trail, It was an easy and quick hike for us. We were able to enjoy the views and there are so many trees that there is plenty of shade for a hot sunny day. It took us probably 20mins to complete the trail. I will be going back because I would like to know the total distance and an accurate time. This trail doesn't have a parking space, you just park on the shoulder either at the entrace or across the street, this is also free! read more

Parking is on the side of the road!!! Got to go to the top, turn around to come down and park on the side. Secret steps lead you to the top of the water fall! This is the best part!! Pet friendly! Small bridge to cross and the falls is a great place for a small picnic. Nice easy hike! read more

A bit of a hidden gem, though tricky to find. The intersection on Yelp is a little bit off. You have to go about a mile farther south and then there's a small pulloff area with room for about 4-5 cars to park. I came here a day after rain, so some of the trails were muddy and even covered with a couple of inches of water in spots. Either way, I walked the trail south, having no idea what to expect. It was scenic at first, with areas of overgrown ivy and the sound of water falling in the distance. I suddenly came upon the "main" waterfall and it was breathtaking. Not a huge waterfall, but still beautiful in its own right. The bridge crossing the falls might make you cringe, but I walked over in a few times and it seems sturdy enough. If you continue south, you will come across a few other smaller waterfalls. I didn't walk the entire stretch, as it was starting to get dark. Overall, this was a nice place to walk/hike and take photos of the waterfalls. Since it's free, I'd highly recommend coming here if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg, as apparently some nearby trails/parks charge. The only downsides were limited parking and some of the trails being very wet, even after just a modest rainfall. read more

Warning: This trailhead is not easy to find. Glen Falls is right off of Ochs Highway (just past Sanders Road) and the trail leads to waterfalls that are even more beautiful than you can imagine. This is a fairly easy hike, and it only takes about 15 minutes before you'll start to hear the waterfalls. The elevation increases pretty quickly once you reach the falls-- there's a bridge, stone steps, and a little cave that brings you out to the very top. It's a great escape to peaceful surroundings. Absolutely love this trail. It was the first trail we ever explored after moving to Chattanooga and we have been a dozen times since. It is not a strenuous hike, so it is good for all ages. It is beautiful in all seasons. During the summertime one should watch out for the poison ivy along the trail, but we've never had any issues as we always wear long pants. Short hike to a beautiful waterfall. It's an out and back hike, less than a mile each way, with a well marked, pretty wide path. We went on a very wet day after it had been raining for a few days, and the trail was still in good condition, without being too slippery or dangerous. The waterfall was very pretty, and we loved that we could climb above it to look down on it as well. The parking area and trailhead are really just a turn off of Ochs Hwy just 200 yards past Saunders Road on the left if you're going up the mountain. There is space for maybe 3 cars there, but we were the only ones on this day. read more

The falls themselves were a bit slow of a trickle, but if you make your way past the small bridge, up some stone stairs, through a little cave, you'll get to the upper section of the creek. There are some nice rocks to lounge on while listening to the flow of the creek read more

I agree with the other reviewers. This a beautiful hike. We were confused by the other hikers saying there were 3 "parking spots." It is really just a pull out on the left side of the highway as you are going up. The hardest part was turning the car around. The traffic was heavy and it was hard to see cars. We recommend making a u-turn when you turn into the pull out. The trail head sign is sort of hidden down the hill about 20 ft. Bring your camera. There are many photo opportunities. read more
