It's enjoyed especially by motorcyclists, outdoors and certain motor enthusiasts. Cell reception can be spotty and satellite connection is challenging. The roads were mostly 2 lanes with very limited turnarounds, passing lanes and parking other than designated lots and limited along the side of the road. The forest and the views were enchanting! Anyway, this park is located just off of the riverwalk and has an area of wetlands where there are TONS of turtles. It's awesome - a fun little spot to spend an afternoon. There are bathrooms and a large parking lot. It cost $3 a day to park at this park. There is a long trail along the side of the river that leads you to many opportunities to swim in this stunning "blue holes" we walked along the trail for about 20 minutes and got in the water at several locations. The further back you go the less people to share the swimming holes with. We found a private area and enjoyed. We brought bathing suits, a dry bag, water, sun block and water shoes. The rocks are slippery even with water shows so be careful! An amazing natural wonder worth visiting. Great for couples or couples with children. I highly recommend a visit if you are within an hour or two of this area.

Came here with Troop 513 and our Boy Scouts and adults really enjoyed a truly wonderful and satisfying experience. The cave exploration is definitely an adventure and challenging and pushes you to the limit while being guided by experienced guides. Our cave guides were Tristan and Emily and both were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the cave and their experience definitely made what would have otherwise been a very frustrating and difficult task a fun and truly memorable experience. Tip: you can bring your phone if you aren't afraid to possibly damage or lose it as you will be crawling and squeezing through many parts of the adventure. 5 stars for the cave adventure and 5 stars for the campgrounds. Thank you for all you do for the scouts and making this great experience available to the public!

The Manager confronted us at our campsite after we complained about a parking issue. She brought 3 staff members to our camper. She instructed one staff member to turn on her body camera after and film us. True story folks! We came to Chattanooga for a race. I would never return. We packed up and left immediately. We enjoyed the tour down into the cavern. Our tour guide Michael was funny, easy to understand, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. Seeing the rock formations and the falls had us in awe of what we saw. It was absolutely beautiful! The video to start and the stories along the way really added to the experience. I appreciated that a sound system had been installed (and well hidden) so we could hear clearly. It was a fun morning!

Finally, was able to do it last month. Purchased tickets in advance and showed up with enough time to shop in the gift shop and use the restroom. They have a very nice facility here with plenty of parking, a cafe, a large gift shop, and an observation tower. Spotless inside and well-run. Also, a penny press! Our tour guide, Chuck I believe, was wonderful. Extremely friends and funny and knowledgable about the cave but also about Chattanooga and the surrounding area. They are really doing a lot of tours. Since you walk 0.5 miles to the waterfall underground, it's a bit of a slog to keep getting to the side so groups of 30-40 can go by (tight space). We probably had to do this about 5-6x during our tour. The falls are amazing, but, walking the half mile through the cave and seeing all the other formations was wonderful too. There really are a lot of examples of formations and some unique ones like Angel's Wings, Western Sunset and Leo's Passage. Our group was large, but we had a good time and everyone was polite. The only thing I was disappointed in was that the waterfall wasn't illuminated for us to walk up to it - instead, we walked in in the dark and all crowded around it - so, when the lights came on, I wasn't able to get an approach or long shot of it in full length. They do have first tours of the day and adult-only tours so, if I come back again, I may look into that.

Nice Short Hike And Nature Visit…read more Located in a residential neighborhood you park at the 90 degree curve in the road across from a house. There are signs... This is probably just under a mile each way to wiggle through the woods and down to the creek. Follow the water flow maybe 800' and you shall find the waterfall. Almost across from the trail that brings you to the creek is a little hill with a small trail that brings you to a good viewpoint on a rock ledge to see the falls from a better angle than straight down. I am not sure if a different trails brings you to the bottom of the fall, maybe rappelling down is the easier way... What are you waiting for? Take a hike!

Falling water falls trail is an out and back trail that has a trail head that can be found in a…read moresmall neighborhood with just a few parking spots at the trail entrance. This is marked by a small brown sign (in our case, on this day the sign was covered with trash). We came here on a day of outdoor adventures, coming from Prentice Cooper state forest, taking several "scenic" routes and finally finding a parking spot at the entrance. When we walked this trail, which truly is a 0.3 mile slightly downhill to flat trail, there was only one other family on this trail, making it pretty isolated, but also making the views all the more sweeter. Here's the thing...maybe it was the extreme and relentless heat this summer or the lack of rain, but as we continued to walk down the trail, neither of us could hear water! Sadly, we didn't hear any water because on this day, there was none. The falls were dry, being limited to a trickle. There are photos of the falls that look lovely. With this said, even if the falls were running at full capacity, you would be looking at them from the top of the falls, not head on. You would have to come at it from below to see that. If the falls were running, instantly this is a 5 star review for me. Because it was dry,i'm only giving it 4 stars, because it still was pretty to look at, and a nice walk overall. The address listed for Falling Water falls trail puts you right near the parking lot. I don't think this is a residential address, although there are homes directly across from the lot. I'd highly recommend coming here after it has rained a few times or at least one heavy time. I'll have to come back myself when it does!

It's so pretty and peaceful in this park. The park is inside a residential neighborhood. It…read moreconsists of lush gardens made into dedicated sections of all types of greenery and perennial flowers, bushes, waterfalls and stonework. In the quiet background, various song birds pleasantly sing. The residential area is located in a hidden alcove about two miles from DT Chattanooga, and is very well kept up. There is one picnic table if you wish to use it and a couple of small trails. If you go, keep in mind the local residents don't keep their dogs on leashes, nor do they have fences keeping them on their property. One time we came here a large dog came charging at us full bore from a grassy yard while we were on a walk. Sometimes you can tell whether a dog is friendly or not, but the anxious run by the dog made me think not. Luckily, we hadn't walked too far from my car, so it was easy to get back, which is what we did. It felt like the owner of the dog didn't want 'outsiders' walking in what is a public park. He was standing there without giving the dog commands. Go figure. Keep in mind there is minimal to no parking, so you will most likely have only 2-3 parking spots at the far end of the park.
