I'm so glad I found Elude! I saw Brien who was AMAZING. I love my hair! He's incredibly knowledgeable, talented, and so friendly. Brien was easy to work with and really cares about his clients. He's incredibly accommodating when it came to my busy schedule as well. He understood my hair and what would work and what wouldn't and was someone I felt I could trust. Elude is amazing! The service is great and the environment is so welcoming. Brien was my hairstylist and he did a complete transformation for me. I was so scared and nervous, I've been growing out my hair for about 4 years. It was down to my bottom when I went in and he was able to cut it to a healthy length and give me some layers and curtain bangs to add some depth for styling. I'm in love with it and so happy that Brien was the person who did it for me! The price was very reasonable and especially with how long and thick my hair is I was very surprised with the total at the end. I'm going back soon for him to color my hair and I wish the date could come sooner. read more

Coming from california I had huge doubts about finding a new salon that lives up to my standard. Found Brien at Elude salon and WOW! So I should start by saying I actually really liked the lady who worked on my hair. I unfortunately can't remember her name, but she was a great colorist and I have no complaints about the end result. I didn't love the rest of my experience. To be fair It probably was inconvenient for the salon since my husband had called to book my appointment. He was trying to be sweet and surprise me with a hair appointment. Of course he's a guy and doesn't know to tell the salon that my hair is thick and long. I always make sure to mention this when I call to book appointments because I understand that my hair is going to take longer than the average customer. He didn't know to do that so I don't fault the salon for that. My husband didn't tell me about the appointment until the day of or I would have called to warn them about my hair, but when I got there receptionist was rude and acted very inconvenienced about the whole situation with my husband booking the appointment and how much hair I have... I do get it, to a point, but I don't have THAT much hair. I felt really uncomfortable, she was sighing and acted like it was going to be a big set back in the day so I offered to reschedule which she declined. I do understand that it was probably inconvenient and annoying, but it completely ruined the thoughtful thing my husband tried to do, I felt so uncomfortable and awkward that I don't think I talked through the whole appointment other than to apologize repeatedly. The stylist, however, was professional and sweet and never acted put out by the situation. I didn't feel like she rushed and I was happy with the end result. I can't speak for everyone at Elude or for all the services, but I am grateful and thankful for Tracy. She must be the queen of eyebrow threading. I must say I'm a bit obsessed with my brows. I used to get them waxed and loved it, but now that I'm on retin-a it's a no-no. I went to a few places that do threading and had some nightmare experiences. When I saw that Elude was close to my home and I knew the owner, I figured I could trust them to do a decent job. Tracy is the master. She's super thorough, doesn't go crazy hacking at the brows and just gives me a pleasant experience. Threading hurts. I don't know who decided it was painless because they're lying. But when Tracy does it, the pain is easily manageable. I feel like I could write a thesis on my experiences with Tracy and my brows... that's how much I love going to her. She's awesome. After six or so months of faithful client hood at another local Aveda salon, I began to notice that my hair began to take a turn for the worse. I was growing it out, so I can understand the big fuzz, and can over look this. I cannot however overlook the late 90's chunky highlights or the uneven "multi tonal" hair color. It was so bad that my 86 year old mother in law said something. In desperation, I kept plugging along hoping it would get better, instead it did not. I loved the lady who did my hair, so I just plopped it a ponytail and hoped it would improve. Finally, a friend gave me the number to her stylist. I knew it was time to look elsewhere. In a panic before an important meeting, I decided to give Elude a shot. I was desperate and it was either take my chances with Sally color or call them. They fit me in immediately. I got a three o'clock appointment, and I called in at noon. I was incredibly grateful, and hoped for the best. I explained my hair and hoped I was driving to a team of stylists who could rescue me from my hair don't. Tracy consulted with me and that swiftly got to work. As she did, she pointed out quickly what was done incorrectly, but promised It would be fixed when she was done. One and a half hours later, my hair was beautiful, and even. Oh my gosh. I've found a new home. For good. Take a trip down Jefferson. Do not pass them up. Right before Calvin's all the way to the back of the buildings. An oasis in a desert of overpriced hair salons with sometimes inconsistent service. Friendly staff, and for repairing my hair dilemma very affordable. I was so surprised by the price, that I forgot to make my follow up appointment. Call them ( I am a hair snob. Richard Haylor in Dallas, Lockworks back in the day living with a stylist and going to Sam's parties, Deva curl, you name it. I've done it all. So I know good hair. This is truly the place to go. Brien Buxton, Senior Stylist at Elude, has been doing my hair for years. I am so glad he his a part of this salon. He ALWAYS knows just the right things to do, what products I should use and what I am capable of keeping up... and I love having him to remind me when it's time for a trim and touch-up. Love Cambre and the salon is very comfortable. It's been a little difficult for me to get an appointment lately since they are only open 4 days a week and have no online booking option...and Cambre only works 1 day a week now. But when I can get in...I always leave with a great haircut. read more
