Their designs are abundant on the website and they really get the design to a tee, it was PERFECT. Flavour selection is pretty good and I did have a short call with them while ordering on their site to determine which flavour was recommended as well as what colours I wanted the cake design to emphasize. I had to check Google reviews to confirm instructions on their location, but when I got to the Langham Square plaza it was easy enough to find based on their address (unit number 2006). Staff gave clear instructions at pick up to keep the cake in the floor of the car during transport and to store the cake in a fridge until ready to eat. The box for transport was great because I got to check the design easily before leaving and the ribbon was tightly wrapped to secure the box cover to the base. The staff speak Mandarin as well as English. Payment was all done online beforehand. Highly recommend ordering their cakes for any event!

It's super moist not overly decadent and just the right amount of sweetness. So I'm here documenting to remind myself to order a cake for next time. It seems that they are well known for their ube cakes so I think I'll have to try that next!

I read that her specialty…read moreis the Ube flavoured cake, so when we decided to order our wedding cake, we knew we had to get Ube. Sheryl might not respond to her emails ASAP as she has another job as well, but will eventually respond within a few business days. If it's urgent, and you need a quick response, you can always call or text her for inquiries. Ordering our wedding cake was very easy, we told Sheryl the details such as how many tiers, serving size, and design inspiration. She also delivers for an additional fee depending where in the GTA. On the day of our wedding, we expected to see her around 4pm, but she actually came earlier to help set up, and make the cake area look nice. When I saw the cake in person, it was made almost exactly to what I asked for, and yes, it was beautiful. The buttercream used lasted for hours as the cake wasn't served until at least 5 hours after being placed on the table. When I tried a slice, the Ube flavour was evident, not too sweet, and the cake itself was very soft. I highly recommend booking your wedding cake, or any cake from Sheryl if you want Ube! Have had many different mille crepe cakes from Xcakes. Matcha, Earl Grey, mango, Taro. My favourite is still the mango. So freshly made on the day you pickup and you can taste the quality and freshness as a result. It's not too sweet and feels light so I can happily enjoy the cake! They do custom designs or multi flavor cakes as well. They also have sponge cake cupcakes. Love Maggie, Jay, and their team!

Tucked inside Markham 朗豪坊, X Cafe is a takeout-only spot that keeps things simple but does them right. They have a solid selection of ready-made small cakes for quick pickups, and you can also pre-order custom cakes in your preferred flavors and sizes. Prices are very reasonable, especially given how fresh everything tastes. It's nothing over-the-top or flashy just genuinely satisfying when you're craving dessert. What impressed me most was how well-balanced the flavors were. Nothing overly sweet or heavy. I usually prefer sponge cakes over mousse, and theirs really delivered soft, airy, and perfectly moist with just the right hint of sweetness. A lovely go-to for cake lovers, and definitely a spot worth supporting if you appreciate thoughtfully made, no-fuss desserts from a local small business

Located in a primarily industrial area, it's a bit hidden away and parking can be tight. The staff working were super patient and happy to let us try flavors. There were so many to try! We ended up trying a lot of flavors and bought 4. Peanut Kaya toast - has a nice light peanut butter flavor and has chunks of toast mixed in. I wished there was a bit more condensed milk sweetness but it was nice. 4/5. Tofu pudding - if you're a fan of the Asian tofu pudding dessert - this is perfect for you. It's got a perfect light hint of tofu and light sweetness. 5/5 if you love tofu dessert. It was pretty good to me 4.5/5. Ginger milk- be warned - this has a good ginger kick. If you're not into spicy, avoid! For those who like ginger milk, this is the real deal. The ginger will linger in your mouth and throat. 5/5. Green apple - tastes like green apple candy. Hits the spot for that classic green apple flavor -5/5. Lychee osmanthyus - has a really nice lychee flavor and a hint of tea to balance the sweetness - 5/5. Horlick - this one is on the delicate side, not super strong but does remind me of Horlick. 4.5/5 only because I wish it was a bit stronger. Salted egg - this one is definitely an acquired taste. It's very good as a salted egg ice cream - whether you like this or not depends if you liked salted egg. It's like someone took the salted egg out of a moon cake and transformed it into ice cream. 5/5 if you like salted egg. Pear - surprisingly not flavorful at all. Honestly, couldn't taste any pear - not sure if I just got an ice chunk out of the sorbet when tasting. Not sure I can rate this fairly. Hojicha - another great tea flavor. If you like hojicha, this is for you. 5/5. Price - 5$ for a small container and 15$ for a big pint.

The scoop selection has also expanded significantly - maybe double or triple the size thanks to the new freezer (not sure what you call those things!). The freezers for take home scoops and pints remain the same. I didn't see any of the pastries this time around and not sure if they'll bring it back. The owner remembered me. :) friendly as always, she asked me what flavours I'd want to see upon my next visit! I couldn't think of any since they've make flavours for EVERYTHING. Apparently cilantro flavour was her husband's idea LOL. But i love tea-based, fruit, and unique flavours so i'm excited for all of those. Today's visit i got these take home flavours: - salted egg yolk - ube coconut *my dad raved about it not being too sweet - hatch coffee *starlight blend* *my mom said this tasted great - tofu - mango *they didnt have this in the fridge but the owner offered to scoop out of their Backstock which was amazing of them!!! I did an upside down scoop (cone on cup) of double chocolate over genmaicha. The double chocolate tastes like a lighter version of a chocolate truffle - the owner influenced me into trying this flavour and won me over since it wasn't too rich or too sweet, which I deeply enjoyed. The genmaicha had a strong tea flavour. You could really get the nuttiness nd roasted rice flavours out of it. Both were super creamy and smooth. Will probably be back here monthly to restock.

Just remember to have your phone number ready! They have pretty interesting flavours but this time got the Matcha Red Bean Mochi Cake. The matcha flavours were good and not too sweet, and complimented the red bean nicely. I did really enjoy the mochi layer. The cake itself was also very light. I don't really know what the things on top of the cake were (dried figs?) but we didn't eat them, so not sure if they're edible. I'm usually the cake-person for my friends and family, and I definitely will be ordering from here again, especially to try the other flavours. 10/10 would come again!
