Firstly, this office is gorgeous! The waiting area is equipped with a mini fridge filled with water bottles, chic seating & an electric fireplace! The staff is just as amazing as the beautiful space! always very friendly and attentive! Today I had an appointment at 3:30. I think I arrived around 3:15, was taken for my appointment minutes later and was in and out in 20 mins. (I went in for my yearly routine check up) Dr. Strangie is great. Very kind and helpful staff/nurses at his side. Verona, NJ facility is well organized, sleek with many exam and operation rooms, easy to find, and parking/driving is convenient. I'm hoping this review will help Geria Dermatology reevaluate who they have representing them when Dr Geria isn't available. Acne is a very personal and upsetting situation for a teenager to have to go through. My stepdaughter was extremely excited to visit Geria because to her it was an opportunity for someone to finally help her with her acne. She brought photos of her concerns and wrote out all the previous doctors' recommendations so she could have a full history to share. Even though it was a sensitive subject she was excited to FINALLY get some new guidance. Maria, the PA she saw, couldn't have cared less about her history or her story which in turn just made this journey for her even harder. Bedside manners when dealing with something so personal is so important. I'm writing this hoping that Maria will remember why she got into this business, to help people. read more

Terrible. May as well go get a facial. The doctor simply upsells you to aesthetic services like injections and facials and other cosmetic procedures. He won't talk about more than 1 thing per appointment such as face and hair. He says you can only discuss 1 thing per appointment but spends a rushed 10 minutes per appointment. Went there once and then had to go to a real dermatologist for actual medical advice on dermatological issues. read more

i choose this place for its outstanding and consistent high ratings . office is nice . the music makes you feel like your poolside in santorini . immaculate . the staff polite , courteous. Efficient process with ipads , no paper work here . Up to this point i wound rate this place 5/5. I can not speak to the medical dermatology aspect of this practice since i did not have any encounter with the dermatologist. However for the purpose of my visit , a Hydrafacial i will review my experience was not as impressive. i have had plenty of facials done by certified and licensed aestheticians and facialist . Therefore i am familiar with the proficiency of their manual techniques. With the hydrafacial , a probe device is utilized to do all the work . The spotty placement of probe across the face , leaves areas virtually untouched. There is no skin prepping , no application of treatments no manual extraction of pores ( you will be told of this at the time of appt) no steaming / misting /exfoliation no facial or pressure point massage at all . The neck and décolleté excluded traditionally included in my past experiences with a facial . no treatment room spa ambiance . Was not my usual spa -facial experience . But then again i wasn't at a spa i was in a dermatologist office having a fascial" by a nurse After i left the office i realized all the white heads still present below my lower lip - chin area. Virtually untouched . The nurse did explain no manual extractions are done BUT i was expecting the probe to compensate in some manner for that in removing debris with its suction mechanism I arrived with an understanding of what a hydra facial was ( or so i thought) and left knowing what it is clearly not ! my skin wasn't dewy or glowing To be frank I felt rushed , $200 for 25 -30mins with minimal hands. For this price point i was expecting a plus experience . I was hoping it would work , given location and convenience of the office . No it was not worth my time and money . for the Hydrafacial part i give my experience 2.5/5 . read more

Dr Geria's practice is only interested in getting your money. Their office policy requires you to leave your credit card on file and your signature on a release giving them the ability to charge your credit card at any time. No exceptions. The receptionist confirmed that this is Dr Gerias's policy! I was a new patient and refused to sign the release and to my surprise I was turned away. The doctor would not see me! Is Dr Geria a serious physician who is interested in caring for patients? Not with that policy. Find another dermatologist. read more

I recently got a coolsculpting treatment done on my abdomen at Geria Dermatology in Rutherford, NJ and the results were great. The office is beautiful first of all and the staff makes you feel so comfortable. I was a little nervous when I first decided to do it, whether it would work or not but after just one treatment I saw results and have continued to go back for the recommended treatment schedule (everyone is different in how many they need) and have been loving this procedure and what it has done for my belly. This place is fantastic, the office is seems to be brand new and extremely modern, the staff is very polite which is a hard thing to come by (usually staff at the front desk at most doctors offices are very rude, dismissive and unwilling to accommodate patients). Most importantly, the doctor. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable but he actually takes the time to delve deeper into my medical history to pinpoint exactly what might be contributing to my dermatologic issues. I have been having issues with my face since this summer. Since my dermatologist in NYC was unavailable for consultation, I did some research and  found Geria Dermatology in Rutherford, NJ.   At this point, I was really at my wit's end with my issues. I can't sleep, my face is so itchy, flaky, red with that burning sensation, and swollen. I was diagnosed with Rosacea 7-8 years ago and was prescribed a cream for my face for maintenance or use when needed. I contacted Geria Dermatology by email and received a response right away from Andrew who scheduled an appointment with Dr. Aanand Geria.Thank you Andrew for being proactive.  My impressions during my visit:The office is super clean (love the cleanliness) and the staff are very nice and attentive.  I met Dr. Aanand Geria, MD who is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.He confirmed that it was my Rosacea.  Before his diagnosis, I didn't really know what I have (Eczema, Psoriasis or Rosacea that had come back) Dr. Geria made me feel comfortable. He asked a lot of questions and most importantly, he took his time to listen to my concerns and answered all of them. He also explained about all the medications I brought in for him to see (prescribed previously by another Dermatologist). He gave me new prescriptions and explained thoroughly how to use them.  Just a day with the new medications, I slept well for the first time since having my face issues. My previous dermatologist didn't take the time to get to know me and would prescribe things to me without knowing anything else. How can you give me something random and know it'll work? Well it didn't. Dr. Geria was exactly who I needed. He was so patient and kind and took the time to get to know about me so he could better help me. I have really bad eczema and ended up getting an infection from it. Dr. Geria helped cure not only the infection right away, but gave me tips on how I could prevent it and also helped me get the correct prescription for it.
