I loved the online booking of what they offer and prices so you're not surprised. My tech, Jennifer, did a great job. She was very careful and took almost an hour going through a lot more steps than I anticipated. She didn't speak much and I appreciated that. Hoping these nails will last!

I have been getting my nails done for at least 2 years at this salon and i always go to Kim. She is amazing! I get long acrylics with so many designs on them it takes multiple hours. She is so fast and very kind. I love the work done here and will continue to go until i move there is no other nail salon for me.

Showed a photo of what I wanted, they ensured me they could do it. When my nails are 95% of the way done, they tell me actually they can't. My nails were supposed to be cat eye with hearts, instead I have blobs going every which way. My pedicure didn't include half the stuff listed on the one I chose. The woman cut my toe wide open, it's still bleeding as I sit here waiting for my toes to dry. The gall of it all? They're still going to charge me for this. So I'll be paying for two sets of nails within 24 hours because I absolutely hate the way my fingernails turned out.

I've been here several times and they always do a great job with my shellac mani or pedi. I love the hot stone massage, and scrub they use! They do a nice massage with spa pedi. The chairs are the nice massage ones. The salon is pretty, clean, and a great location to walk from the mall or Bellevue Downtown Park. I've done walk-ins and appointments. I recommend making an appointment for the weekend for sure.

You guys.. I think I've FINALLY found my nail spot!! This took YEARS in the making!! I've only been twice but my oh my, my last visit probably resulted in my favorite set YET! This is my first time trying hybrid gel? It's a gel x acrylic mix and DON made them better than I imagined. I came in with inspo pics but honestly I liked what he came up with even better!! (Went for a classic and clean Disney inspired look for a trip to DisneyWorld - pic included) They also have a main number you can text to set an appointment/ text photos/ ask anything and it's soooo convenient especially for someone who hates talking on the phone like me lol. I had pedicure appointment during weekday and place seemed to be very busy. I like huge selection of colors and it was nicely organized (compare to other places that I went). Place looks clean, nice massage chairs is a plus. However my pedicure was mediocre, when it was fresh it looked ok however nails weren't cut straight and when nails start growing I saw that nail polish actually was on my skin. I mean $60 for this work I think is kind of pricey... I don't think if I will come back.

I used to travel from Seattle to Bellevue to get my nails done here. Great selection and service and the spa itself is very clean and hygienic. They have a loyalty card too and after 6 visits you get a paraffin wax treatment free. The only reason I am cutting one star is the first time I called and told them I was going to purchase a Groupon and asked for an appointment. They told me not to purchase the Groupon and that they would honor the Groupon price. When I got there they played dumb and then agreed to give me a 10% discount. This bait and switch a slightly bad taste in my mouth. That being said, the superior quality of service has made me a loyal customer.

It turned out more beautiful than the inspo pic.

Definitely my go to nail salons for my ladies and I. Em Salon never disappoint with their designs and listens to customer needs.

Came in for a gel pedicure and dip manicure on 10/27. The dip manicure came out so uneven all of my nails were different lengths and shapes. I had asked the nail tech to cut them shorter as she used nail scissors and they were completely crooked and uneven. My middle finger on my left hand is sore and inflamed now. Pedicure - Someone started doing my pedicure and then I got switched to a different nail tech. Both were not wearing gloves. The tools were not in any packaging they were just free in the bin. The tech cleaned my cuticles, and scrubbed my feet (barely) the purple sponge was SO lathered it looked like it was already used. When it came time for the scrub, she took her bare hand that was in the pedicure water/touching my feet/sponge and stuck it into the yellow foot scrub and grabbed a scoop. Other salons I've been to have had it in a tray where the scrub is portioned out. This also happened to me at the Cove Nail Salon which is why I stopped going there and tried Em Salon. I tried to not show my frustration as the front desk person was pleasant. However, $65 for a dip manicure is steep for the nails to be this uneven. I attached a photo for reference so you can see how significant the difference is. The pedicure was $50 for the basic pedicure with gel. The price was fair however, it was very unsanitary and the nail tech flooded my cuticles with the gel polish. What's the point of getting a pedicure if the cuticle is going to be flooded? The manager reached out to me via text and offered to fix my pedicure however, I am now out of the country. read more

Came in for a volcano pedicure with gel and a full set of pink and whites. Van did my toes -- and the pedicure was divine. She was meticulous but gentle. I couldn't be more pleased. Kim is hands down an excellent nail artist! Not only is she extremely talented but she also has a kind caring soul and knows how to run a clean friendly nail salon. I had the opportunity of trying Em Salon & Spa while on the hunt of finding a new nail salon in downtown Bellevue. I have been doing dip manicures for years but always felt unhappy with how thick they turned out and destroying my nail while soaking them in acetone while taking the dip off. Lucky for me, Kim offered a newer nail service, called "hybrid" that is more natural looking and healthier for your nails. Now, for anyone who hasn't tried this, well it's life changing and I personally will never go back to doing anything else. The gel base is thin and actually lasts! Also with hybrid you can get a fill instead of getting a full set every time you go in. If you find yourself in downtown Bellevue forget about the other salons and give Em Salon & Spa a try. read more

I've come here a couple times (before I used to get my nails done at here during the previous ownership). I liked how they remodeled the place and the interior is very cute. Regarding the nail service, I appreciate how they take their time for cuticle care and lotion massage. However, I've found that the quality of gel is so-so my nails only seem to last a couple of weeks, when usually gel lasts a month for me. I also haven't gotten any fancy nail designs here, but I found the prices to be quite steep for a gel manicure. I may be back to keep my punch card for a paraffin wax after 6 visits and because it is located conveniently in Bellevue. But I'm not sure if I would consider this my go-to nail place. read more

My mom goes here regularly, and I needed a mani/pedi before for my brother's wedding. Annie and Alice were amazing. I just had a surgery and Alice took great care of my pedicure, making sure to be gentle near my incision. She also massaged my foot where a ton of tension was built up. And Annie absolutely slayeddddd my manicure. She knew exactly what I wanted and the end result was 10/10 for my dip manicure. Kim is a master! She's incredibly talented and a perfectionist to boot. Both she and the tech who did my pedicure were sweet and friendly and took their time to ensure my satisfaction. I am a bit of a nail snob and would rather wait until I'm in LA or SF to get anything but the most basic done because I feel like most nail "artists" in the PNW don't have the skills to pull off even the simplest looks. I was extremely happy with the application of the hybrid gel base. Thin, perfectly tapered and flush at the base for a really natural look, despite my extensions. The multicolored French tips were well placed, and meticulously applied. Kim is familiar with all the newest looks and techniques and I'm so glad to have found her! This 7 month old salon has a wonderful selection of colors and a well-organized and clean space. read more

I'm regular costumer and more often I come, worse their service provide. If you are late 20+ minute, they charge 100% full price of a service but I waited 30+ minute ( with appointment of course) and no comments about keep me waiting + lots of pain while removing get polish and sometimes even bleeding. I am a regular at em salon, and this is my second time getting the hybrid gel nail with extension, and as always, Kim did wonderfully! I have tried my fair share of nail techniques, such as acrylics, gel nails, hard gel, etc., but the hybrid gel is my favorite by far. Hybrid is not as chunky as acrylics but more durable, without the hassle acrylics can bring. I highly recommend you all try it out at em salon; on your next visit, you won't be disappointed! Loved my nails! I came upon this spot while visiting in the area and had a great experience. I didn't have an appointment and was glad that Kim (the owner) was available. She greeted me and asked what I wanted. I showed her a picture from Pinterest and asked her to do a slightly simplified version (short stiletto with a touch of bling). Hit or miss customer service. Arrived on time, and waited 20 mins for my 30 mins appointment. Nobody bothered to greet me or explain, just pointed at a seat and made me continue to wait. I have been to several Eastside nail salons. I came to Em with acrylics that I'd gotten elsewhere which I did not love - too thick and very sloppy. I loved my experience at Em from the start. Theresa was so nice at reception and Jenifer my nail tech was amazing. I had explained how disappointed I was in my last experience and she made me feel really taken care of. It took forever to get the thick nails off and Jennifer was patient and through. Then went out of her way to put time and care into beautiful, thin and natural looking nails. Plus the design I got was well done. And I love the results! I felt like everyone was vested in making me feel great after a bad experience. I've been to salons where it feels like they can't get you out of there fast enough, or don't sweat the details of a design, but Jenifer and everyone at Em spent the time to help me reset my nails, paid attention to what I wanted, and had me walking out feeling awesome. read more

Found this brand new gem while in town for business, and I am in love with my nails! Kim, the owner took care of me and was very efficient, very sweet, my nails took 45 minutes tops! I did the dip with the nail extensions, got em just in time for New Year's Eve! Also includes the standard arm massage but the shoulder massage was definitely a bonus. I was having a complete meltdown about my nails bc I had gotten them done in Chicago and a few days later the polish was completely peeling off (gel polish). I was in Bellevue and found Em salon on google with great reviews so I decided to call and see if I could get a last minute appointment to get them fixed. Kim answered and she was wonderful!!! She was able to get me in that evening and she was absolutely amazing! She changed the color and did exactly what I asked. I showed her a picture and she had me choose my colors and even helped me out because I was so frazzled with my nail situation at the time. She took her time, even reshaped my nails better than how they originally were. I would go to her a thousand more times if I lived there but I will surely be back the next time I am out there and need my nails done. Thanks Kim! read more

They were responsive to my requests regarding nail and cuticle trimming, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the nail polish on my hands did not fully cover my nail beds. Additionally, I only received scrubbing on one leg. I'm not sure if that was due to the combination service but I was hoping for a more thorough exfoliation to help remove dead skin from my feet. They were very attentive when it came to trimming and filing my toenails. I was happy with how my feet looked when the service was finished. Shoutout to Jessica and Emma for our massages. They were extremely comforting and the hour flew by insanely quick. Hydrotherapy is self guided between a hot pool, cool pool, steam room, and dry sauna. All are soothing but many gyms have these as well, so I'm torn whether it's worth it. However, definitely a nice supplement to other services here in the same location, which is a fair argument. One thing I hate is the check out process. After checking out, they'll ask if "you'd like to add a gratuity" which I always feel is just a darker practice in the social moment. A good massage deserves a tip for quality service, but hydrotherapy feels like an interesting gray area. However, it's easier to just give a percentage on the total amount. On the flip side, I love how they also provide up to 30 minutes buffer after hydrotherapy (maybe also other services, but we ended on hydro) to shower and leave. Passing that half hour mark would result in a charge rounded up to the next hour.

I had such a positive experience here! Kim (the owner) did my set perfectly. I called the day of and she agreed to have me in at 7PM. We were the only ones in the shop but I was so comfortable and felt really safe. Additionally, she checked in with me a lot, asking me if I liked the shape, design, colors etc... I originally was not sure what color to get for my french tips so she let me try a couple out and was so patient about it! unlike other salons that I have been to in the past, she never made me feel like I was rude for speaking up. I even told the tech tech that they were damaging my nails and they insisted on telling me they were filing down the dip ... it seems like the messaging was lost because of language barriers or neglect. I even question the sanitation of this place because they do not use covers on the pedicure water basins. I will not return.
