The new owner Cindy is very accommodating and just pure service to customers, they just opened last year around November and pretty satisfied as to how they do my nails! The place is clean and very well kept! The quality of their nail polishes too are very good! Overall I love going to this place to relax and get my nails done! Open, spacious, clean! I got a shellac/gel manicure. The manicurist did a fantastic job. My cuticles feel super clean. Polish was neat, smooth and even! I would highly recc them if you're in Bellevue area. They also have parking in the complex! read more

Went to another salon nearby my hotel & they couldn't see me right away so I called Medina Nails & they were able to get me in right away. Idk who did my nails but she did a great job & she was quick. The owner (I believe) was super chatty, we bonded over real estate in the Detroit area. I got a gel manicure but with extra hardening to last longer. read more

I had some free time and hadn't gotten my nails done in far too long so, after finding several nearby options too busy, I decided to check out Medina Nails. Normally I just pick a polish color but this time wasn't inspired by any so I decided to pay the extra $5 for French tips instead (total before tip: $20). The service took about 30-40 minutes and involved nail shaping, basic cuticle treatment, brief but nice massage, and polish application (the white tips and a clear layer). Hope my next visit is just as good or even better! read more

I have literally been coming to this salon for 10+ years. I've been away the last 8 months and came back to find out Medina Nails is under new ownership. The moment I walked in I knew the vibe was off. The place was empty. Only 2 nail techs working....I couldn't figure out what was going on! I asked about where Linh, the owner, was....gone, and now under new ownership. All the regular girls were gone. I stayed for my mani/pedi, but it just wasn't the quality I expected. sadly, I don't think these gals will make it....Linh had such a strong customer base and , and it's just not there anymore. read more

I love coming to Medina Nails because they do a great job with shellac! I have visited other salons, and I find the shellac quality isn't up to par; my nails will peel or lift, or the application is too thick or uneven. But at Medina Nails, I know I will leave with nails that look picture perfect! When you visit, I would recommend asking for Stacy! She is meticulous and strategic. Each nail is PERFECT. My nails can last more than 3-weeks without them peeling or lifting. If you're looking for a pedicure, then ask for, Chinh! She gives the best foot massages and is also particular with her work. The owner, Linh, is very professional and personable. If you have a concern, she will quickly remedy it. Went here for the first time, called in advance and they got me in the same day for a mani pedi. I like their massage chairs a lot. Lin was really great and provided excellent service as well as advice for all the questions I had pertaining my skin and cuticle issues! I've been a customer of Medina Nails for almost ten years. I used to alternate between Medina Nails and a couple of other nail salons depending on my location at the time and availability of nail technicians at other salons. I now frequent Medina Nails exclusively. My daughter is also now a devotee, and we both bring my 8-year old granddaughter who adores these lovely ladies and they her. Linh, Robin and the rest of the team are bar none the absolute best. My nails are always done to perfection, and I'm a perfectionist. I'm also very rough on my nails. Still, a manicure will last 2 1/2-3 weeks in "night out" form. A pedicure will last 4-5 weeks, though I always get both done at the same time. Medina Nails is also one my stop shop, as I can accomplish a mani-pedi AND get my waxing needs completed in one visit. What makes Medina Nails my exclusive provider is also all the little things that distinguish Medina Nails from other salons. They genuinely care about YOU. For example, they greet you the second you walk through their doors. The nail technicians all remember who you are, who you brought with you previously, and how you like your nails shaped. If someone who hasn't already done your nails does your nails, one of your regulars will step in right away and let the nail tech assigned to you know how you like your nails done. You have the choice of having your nails done by the same person. I don't feel the need to exercise this option because the quality is consistent no matter who does your nails -- super important. I used to go to a different nail salon where I felt only one person, the owner, consistently did my nails the same way. She took six weeks off every year. I was left stranded during the holidays...every single year. I'm super OCD when it comes to my nails so I usually do my own gel mani/pedis at home. Sometimes I get lazy and just pick a salon to get pedicure at and I always end going home and repainting my toes again myself since most salons usually do a quick messy rush polishing. But not at Medina Nails. The girl I had last night took the time shaping and polishing the gel perfectly on my toes. I'm surprised at how good she painted my toes. At $40 for a gel pedicure in Bellevue is such a great deal. I did make an appointment at 6pm but they were super busy so I waited 30 mins before she started my pedicure. But that pedicure chair they had wait on is so amazing that I'd sit for hours. Literally the best massaging chair ever. This is defiantly my new go to nail salon in Bellevue. read more

The environment is not very relaxing. I got a gel pedicure and the quality was pretty low. Had to correct the technician a few times on nail shape and asked her to cut very short, which she didn't do. She was gracious enough when asked to correct it, but the owner started criticizing me and talking trash in Vietnamese. That was what made this experience a mediocre one to a bad one. I do not recommend this establishment. read more

I came here with a friend right before I left for vacation. We both got Shellac and holy cow the color selection is AMAZING. Colors on colors on colors. The WHOLE WALL is full of colors. I think I paid about $30 for Shellac manicure, not including tip. I've been to places that offer cheaper shellacs, but this place is quality. I got the shellac done on February 26th... today is March 24th and I kid you not.. NONE of the tips have cracked or peeled off. The bottom of the polish that is close to the cuticle did start to peal about 3 weeks in, but I painted some glitter nail polish at the bottom and painted clear top coat over and BAM a temporary fix and flashy new "shellac." Fast forward to today, glitter polish is falling off and starting to look janky ... I definitely I need to get this removed soon. I posted a picture of my nails today, excuse the awkwardness and yes I know that my nails need some TLC, but at least you everyone can see that the original Shellac is still intact! Parking is TIGHT. They are located in the same complex as Facing East and Boiling point, so there is a heavy flow of cars. Parking spots are close so be careful when getting out of your car. I believe there are a few spots reserved for the Medina nails right in the front of the store. I recommend calling in and getting an appointment because they can get busy at times. Had a reservation and did a mani and pedi with my sister. The service was quite good. Both of our techs were super gentle and had a light touch. The tech named Nam did a GREAT job on my pedicure. The manicure was just ok (hence the 4 stars). The mani pedi had massage included as well. My mani pedi was $45 and sisters was $50. Pretty worth it! The dings in the polish was caused by me Bc I wasn't careful enough. Next time I'll try gel! read more

This is very popular nail salon in Bellevue. There are parking spaces right out front. It is right next to my vet's office and a couple of very popular restaurants. The ladies who work here are SO SWEET! I came in recently to get my nails done for an upcoming wedding and they did an incredible job. Always so happy with how my nails turn out. I always get shellac manicures here and their attention to detail is better than any other salon in Bellevue. They don't just use a drill bit and call it good, they carefully cut your cuticles, and take their time especially while shaping your nails. They also are one of the few salons that still give hand massages which is a plus. read more

Came here at 7pm while waiting for a table for Facing East. They close at 7:30pm. I was helped right away and was done in 30 mins! I got a basic shellac french manicure for $38. The crescent shape for french tips that the manicurist created with her brush was amazing and done well. My overall experience was very pleasant! read more

Terrible service. Started out with water too hot and had to wait for someone to pay attention to tell them. Had to ask for what I wanted several times. Massage for pedi service was negligible and zero pressure so it felt like a limp rub. Asked to cut short but found my toe nails were still too long (and sharp) after polish applied. At least they use disposable liners in the tubs. read more

My two friends and I made appointments to get pedicures today at Medina Nails and I had the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. It's very rare I write negative reviews, but this place more than deserved it. We didn't know anything about this place before we went, and clearly that was a mistake not doing research first. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable, and when I stuck my feet in the water it was way too hot, it kind of burned my skin. I seriously could not get comfortable and when I tried to adjust the foot rest, it fell back and hit my leg so hard it left a bruise. Also, about 20 minutes into our pedicure experience, one of the employees microwaved fish for lunch and it smelled absolutely disgusting throughout the entire salon. I seriously felt nauseous and the smell alone was giving me a headache. I wanted to leave, but they were in the middle of painting my nails, so I stuck it out. My friends were all disgusted by the smell and strongly disliked the atmosphere. You'd think a salon would be tranquil and relaxing, but this place was dirty and stinky. Just awful. Lastly, it's been three hours since our pedicure appointments and our nails are still not dry. All three of us got different colors, but none of our polish has dried yet, very weird. Not sure what the issue is, I called the salon to ask them about it and they told me I should just go back tomorrow and have them repaint. What I really want is to be refunded for this awful experience, I never want to step foot in there again. I highly recommend you steer clear of this place and take your business elsewhere. read more

Do NOT go to this salon. The gentleman was extremely rude. I wanted my nails trimmed and he cut them all the way down. The polish looked as though a child painted them and the worst of it was that my fingertips are raw and a couple of them even bled. This was the worst experience I have had at a nail salon from begining to end. read more

I have been here twice now for the sns powder and they do a great job. They have a much bigger selection of colors than a lot of other nail places I've been to in the area. My dip seems to last longer when I go here also. Costs $39 for a dip powder, might be slightly higher than some places but I think it's worth it. read more

I am an avid Medina Nails fan, and have been getting my nails done at this salon for over 3 years. Amy does the best French manicures- ask for her if you're getting one! Everyone else is great at normal manicures and pedicures though, so you'll be in capable hands no matter who is helping you. Since I've probably had over 80 manicures from Medina Nails, of course there have been the rare times when something goes wrong and my shellac manicure chips after only 3 days, or a bubble forms in the polish, etc. If this ever happens I just stop in, and they fix it immediately free of charge! Although they accept walk-ins, I would recommend calling ahead for an appointment because they can occasionally be super busy. read more

I always enjoy my pedicure's here. Kevin and his team of gals do a great job and seem to really like what they are doing. Always accommodating and friendly. Great chairs, clean, and not overpriced. Cash may have been the deal in the past but they have ipads they use to ring you up now and gladly take credit cards. Never have had a problem with that. Always have the newest colors! read more

I came to this place because I saw a beautiful Ombre job on their Instagram page and specifically asked for that style with the exception of the shape. My end result did not look like Ombre but rather two colors with no transition. .the ladies that helped me were nice and I saw that a lot of work went into the nails so I still tipped out of courtesy. I was so sad about the nails that I ended up with. After speaking with Linh, I returned to have something done about it. Linh was very careful about maintaining the health of my fingernails. She recommended returning after a few days to allow my nails some time to rest from the first set. She was very flexible in accommodating my appointment. When I arrived for the second appointment, Linh walked me through the options for the desired style and explained how dip powder would impact the final result. After discussing the options, I opted for a different shape and used shellac instead of ombre. The nail technician, Stacey, did a fantastic job on the shape and quality both times. It turns out that the reason the ombre job was not to my satisfaction was due to a miscommunication on the product that was to be used. I highly recommend this nail salon because they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. They could have easily just painted over the original nail, but instead they did the right thing for the health of my nails and took their time to get it right. Side note: make sure you understand what you're requesting (even if its an online picture, its not always clear) and make sure you communicate clearly to avoid any confusion. Also, they will ask if you need extra spa service, that costs extra but after trying a couple times, It did not seem worth with $$. I give five rating based on three visits, and what I got. Unfortunately, the color I picked out was almost gone so I had pick something else. A little sad but that's ok! I loved that the salon is clean and everything looks very high end. I've been going to this place for about 5 years now. I live in Renton and I come all the way up here because of the relaxing atmosphere, attentive staff, and friendly service from the gentleman that runs the front end. Location is also good, far enough away from the mall where you won't hit mall traffic, but close enough you can walk. Parking lot fills up though, as it is in a shared center with a few other restaurants and businesses. This place does fill up quick in the late afternoons and around the weekend, but the staff does their best to make sure everyone gets in and out while not skimping on the quality of their services. Now I don't know why some Yelpers get mad at the salon for having a long wait. It is NOT their fault! Wouldn't you rather wait your turn knowing the staff did a good job on you rather than just rush people through as they do at some salons? They take time with each customer to make sure you are getting the well attentive service that each customer deserves. I waited maybe 10 minutes that day before a tech was free...that's totally fine by me though. That gave me an extra 10 minutes with a long needed foot soak and chair massage! The guy even offered me a magazine, and made sure it was the latest issue! As for my actual manicure and pedicure, I came in for my first Shellac mani/pedi a few months ago, as it was highly recommended by the awesome guy up front. He told me it stays chip free and glossy for weeks...and after that first Shellac, 3 weeks later, it still looked like the day I got it done, besides that my nails had grown out a bit! I don't do much too, so that may have accounted a little bit for it too. $30 for mani, plus every once in a while, they have specials on their website. They also include a nice leg scrub and massage with their spa pedis! While I was getting my mani, the tech made sure to ask me if the shape of my nails looked ok. In the past, when I come in for french tips, they always as me if the shape and thickness of the curve looks okay as well. If there are any bubbles, smudges, etc, they are always quick to fix it for me too. I even smudged the Shellac once as I was placing my hand into the UV machine, and the tech quickly fixed that without complaints! Trust me, it takes time & patience to give a Shellac mani! When your done, they help you move your belongings and shoes after placing your sandals or the disposable ones on your feet and place you under the light machines...and they will actually check on you! I've been left under those light machines before, and actually checked myself to see if I was dry, put my own sandals on AND had to walk my self to the cashier to pay! Let's just say I will not be going back to that new Tukwila nail salon bar that just opened across the street from the mall on Baker Blvd!! Love the prices, service, and will continue to keep coming back! read more

I've been coming to Medina Nails for 3 years, every 2 to 3 weeks; and I love it. Whether it is SNS/dip or Shellac, my nails end up lasting more than the 2 weeks. I've gone as long as a month before without chipping, and only decided to come back in when I had a lot of nail growth. Linh and her mom have made this 'family joint' a wonderful place for pampering yourself and loved ones. I bring my 6th grader often, and we both enjoy the wide variety of colors, and the mani and pedi combos leaves you feeling super spoiled. read more

They were responsive to my requests regarding nail and cuticle trimming, which I appreciated. The only downside was that the nail polish on my hands did not fully cover my nail beds. Additionally, I only received scrubbing on one leg. I'm not sure if that was due to the combination service but I was hoping for a more thorough exfoliation to help remove dead skin from my feet. They were very attentive when it came to trimming and filing my toenails. I was happy with how my feet looked when the service was finished. Complimentary drinks with service do not include any caffeine or alcohol free options besides water. Disappointing because I am unable to have caffeine or alcohol. I had the Jelly Pedicure and a manicure. I requested nail art but was told that it would be "difficult" to do without gel polish. I think the staff were just unwilling in my opinion. A good nail artist can get it done with regular polish just fine if they take the time. I just wanted one small image on two nails but was declined. I asked about marbling and was told it couldn't be done without gel. There are plenty of people that have done marbling with regular polish as well. I'm not sure this place has experienced nail artists. Manicure details: there were a lot of bubbles in the top coat and the tips of the nails were not wrapped (where some of the polish goes under the tip of the nail to protect the polish a little). I was offered a redo after I posted the images but I don't think I'll be making the trip back, as they are not near me. I'm surprised that they didn't mention the bubbles at all during the entire process or came to check on us or checked their own work. There was only 2 of us and one other person when we were there. Jelly Pedicure: relaxing and nice. I recommend this service for a good cleaning and relaxing. Arriving early is a plus to use the washroom or relax in their lounge area with snacks (wasabi peas, banana chips, and honey pretzel sticks) and hot tea. Shoutout to Jessica and Emma for our massages. They were extremely comforting and the hour flew by insanely quick. Hydrotherapy is self guided between a hot pool, cool pool, steam room, and dry sauna. All are soothing but many gyms have these as well, so I'm torn whether it's worth it. However, definitely a nice supplement to other services here in the same location, which is a fair argument. One thing I hate is the check out process. After checking out, they'll ask if "you'd like to add a gratuity" which I always feel is just a darker practice in the social moment. A good massage deserves a tip for quality service, but hydrotherapy feels like an interesting gray area. However, it's easier to just give a percentage on the total amount. On the flip side, I love how they also provide up to 30 minutes buffer after hydrotherapy (maybe also other services, but we ended on hydro) to shower and leave. Passing that half hour mark would result in a charge rounded up to the next hour.

The nail tech I had was rude and unprofessional. I told her the style I wanted and specifically asked for less chunky and thick more natural-looking and slim nails, but she was dismissive and even said, "If your nail breaks, it's not my problem," which was very off-putting. I was then passed to a different technician who seemed inexperienced and unsure of what she was doing. I got cat eye gel, and the results were extremely inconsistent. My left hand looks great, but my right hand looks terrible. The magnetic effect is uneven, and each finger looks different. On top of that, all of my nail edges are rough and poorly finished.
