MacGuffins inside AMC New Lenox! Very nice addition to the theater. Pretty modern and cool upgrades.

AMC New Lenox is a great facility. Food is good. A little on the light side for what you pay. But all in all, still good.

People were respectful. There's nothing worse than a movie ruined by loud, obnoxious viewers with cell phones being used. The only thing I was surprised by was how many people left their garbage behind. I don't care if they clean up after we leave, it's disrespectful

I attempted to contact AMC directly but couldn't get connected to a human being. I saw a movie in a tidy theatre but made the mistake of entering the unkept women's restroom. There's really no excuse for a business to have a women's bathroom in the condition I found it. There was trash all over the floor. The toilets were not flushed. There were sanitary products sitting on the toilet (gak!) There wasn't soap in one of two dispensers. The trash was even overflowing. There was no toilet paper in two stalls. Having said that, according to my husband the men's restroom was tidy.

These AMC theaters are after my heart. At the moment this one is my favorite in the immediate area, but I still have a wishlist when it comes to this theater. Most importantly: reclining chairs! This has become such an important thing to me when it comes to movie theaters and I know that makes me a spoiled theater goer, but c'mon, you know you love when you can watch a movie in a reclined, feet up position... it's literally why people annoyingly kick their feet up on the row before at non-reclining theaters. And you can move the middle arm rest to create more of a couch feel. Selecting your seats carefully is only important here if you intend to move the arm rest. Secondly: Assigned seating! No asking anyone to move down so you and your friend can sit together... just purchase your seats together. Thirdly: Their popcorn is top of the line! Super buttery and they have options for other flavors too! But on my wishlist: Better food and more competent managers. My mind was blown that with a super long concession line, the employees seemed unsure of everything and took no initiative. We ordered a hot dog and saw five hot dogs on the little rotation device when closer to fifteen could fit comfortably. A second after ordering we were told the one hot dog that was ready to go was already bought by someone else. The other four needed about ten minutes. Why... if these hot dogs are clearly selling out... did hey only add four more hot dogs, you ask? Because they haven't had a break. That's verbatim what I was told when I ask... what? So I come back fifteen minutes later and now there's no line, but the same four lonely hot dogs are cooking and apparently they need ten more minutes... and they have no intention of adding additional hot dogs. They gravely underestimated the cook time for whatever reason. In the meantime, I ordered their pretzel bites with my popcorn. The pretzels were really soft, but maybe a little too chewy and the Tostito's cheese had this weird plasticy taste. Food, not my favorite. Service, not great. For a movie theater experience, I enjoyed myself. Future ventures, I'll just stick with popcorn and eat before. Also you should know, this theater is tucked away and if we hadn't plugged it into the GPS, we definitely wouldn't have found it because it's on a road with only one way in and out.

Clean. Recliners are very comfortable especially when the movie is 3 hours long. The popcorn and soda is good too.

This place is rundown, overpriced and always dirty. Most of the movie theaters in the area are nicer than this place.

The movie happened to be rated r, and my sister was with me and she is 16 which to mention the website says she needs to be 17, and the worker said "she is very far from the age limit" which was only a few months. I completely understand that she can't get in because she is not 17, but there was no need to make a big deal of not letting her go with me despite me communicating that I am her guardian. I am her guardian so she was with me, which I communicated to the worker. She then continued to tell me that she was not allowed in, despite me being above age. She told me that she usually asks for documentation that I am her guardian, and no where on cinemarks website does it say this, only that I need to communicate that I am her guardian, and id showing I am of age. This was very unprofessional and was singling me out.

We really appreciated that the ticket prices and food stayed reasonable even as costs increased. We're lowering our rating by one star because the new management no longer offers the weekday specials we loved, like discounted beer, margarita pitchers, and martinis. Those deals made HB feel welcoming and affordable, and their removal has noticeably changed the experience for us. We hope management considers bringing some of those specials back.

The atmosphere definitely has a fun throwback feel, and I can appreciate the creativity behind it. Unfortunately, the actual experience was pretty disappointing. The "seating" being office chairs was especially underwhelming for a movie theater experience--they weren't comfortable and definitely didn't feel like the kind of seating you expect when you're paying to enjoy a movie. The service was another major letdown. The waiters weren't very attentive, didn't seem to listen to what we were asking for, and we had to work to get their attention. The drinks were also extremely weak and lacked much flavor, which was disappointing given the overall concept. I really wanted the vintage nostalgia to make this place stand out, but unfortunately the execution didn't live up to the experience I was hoping for. There's definitely potential here, but the comfort, service, and drinks need some improvement.

The theater is a decent size especially considering it's in the Chicago Ridge Mall, they even had a bar in the theater which is a nice touch, concessions, and even had a lot of mini claw machines. It was really cool that AMC even had merch of their own and even from various movies as well. Movie Experience: The movie was showing in screen/theater 2 and the layout of the theater was nice. The movie in my opinion was really good and they even had a post-credit scene with both Daniel LaRusso & Johnny Lawrence. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the theater walls at least in screen/theater 2 are thin as I was hearing muffled audio from the theater next door. I'm wondering how this can be resolved. Maybe sound proofing each theater to truly get the full movie theater experience? Just my thoughts on this. Claw Machines: The claw machines are $1 per play. The claw machines don't accept bills or card, so you have to go to this machine that gives you tokens. My boyfriend spent $5 in tokens and unfortunately I didn't win anything even though some of the prizes looked gettable. Overall Experience: Overall, I had great experiences at the AMC theater in the Chicago Ridge mall. The theater was clean, easy to navigate, & the bathrooms were clean. Definitely need to go back soon and hopefully I can win me some cute plushies from their mini claw machines. I hope this review helps AMC in Chicago Ridge, IL location, AMC in general, & its current and future customers. Have an amazing day!
