We're headed to Song Sung Blue today. I was able to get tickets ahead of time on their website. Today is $5 day so sells quickly. They do add on a $2 charge per ticket to get ahead. You can sign up for the Emagine Rewards, a free service. It keeps points toward things so much per dollar you spend. I like that we can get a seat ahead we're we'd like to sit. There are the recliner seats in the stands not sure I. The front park closer to screen. They do have accessible seating on the ground level. Hope it's a good show! FYI. It was a great movie!!

While this seems to be a popular spot on the weekend, there is a large parking lot, plenty of line space for snacks, and it moves pretty quick! Had a great experience.

It's okay. Seems sort of icky-sticky but I guess that's the movie experience these days.

Recently caught a movie at an AMC theater and it only made me appreciate Muller's popcorn that much more.

Enough has changed since my initial review to warrant an update here. For one thing, they closed…read more.. but then they reopened. There was also a pandemic that they survived, although moviegoing culture is definitely not the same. In 2026, the two big, unique features of Alamo Drafthouse are technically still true: (1) restaurant-quality food and drink are served to your seat, and (2) they threaten to kick you out without a refund if you talk or use your phone during the movie. The latter claim is dubious, since I've often observed talking and texting that went unpunished, even after I reported it once. People here are more respectful on average, though. The food situation has changed a bit recently. For one thing, it seems like the menu rotates a lot. They often have themed items based on the big movie of the time. You can expect the kind of food you'd find at a modern American pub, but with elevated prices, this being a movie theater after all. However, they recently started directing all orders to be transacted in their app. It is an imperfect system that I've tolerated. It can be a lot more difficult to communicate nuances with your order, and there doesn't seem to be a way to simply request some water. They want you to not use your phones during the movie, even though they clearly want you to order stuff using your phone. Between all that and the prices, I've found myself discouraged from ordering food. I have a long, long history with seeing movies in cinema complexes, and I am convinced that Auditorium #5 (aka "The Big Show") at this location has the best presentation around. If I am excited to see a movie and it is going to have fancy visuals and sound, I make sure to book a ticket in that specific auditorium. So that should tell you something. They have a real culture of movie fandom going on, with their curated slate of classic movies and pre-show vintage movie content. They also regularly show beloved kids movies. The employees are invariably helpful and enthusiastic, even if it is increasingly easy to avoid interacting with anyone. So I'm content to keep coming here for movies whether or not I'll order the expensive, so-so food.

Dinner and a show spot!…read more @alamotwincities in Woodbury is a perfect all in one outting. They have a restaurant/bar outside of the theaters but no need really because you can order food and drinks during the movie and never leave your seat! They have nicely spaced seats that recline, full menu, discrete lighting, notepads and pens to write your order down and a server will grab your order once it's propped up then your food will come out shortly. Tonight we saw a long 3 hour movie which was perfect to get dinner and then later dessert and a snack during the show. (Food pics were in the dark so I did my best) My our order tonight that I'd point you towards in order: Chicken Tenders with dry rub, added ranch and honey mustard for dips. These are awesome. My top pick here. Chocolate Chip Cookies. They come out warm and perfect. Milkshakes (didn't get one this time but goes well with warm cookies) Truffle & Parmesan popcorn. All of their popcorn options are free refills. Royal with cheese burger. This was a decent choice to get. Going to the movies theater always brings back nostalgia, joy and excitement. This adds another layer of enjoyment with having dinner or snacks served while you watch your movie. If you've never gone, highly suggest you do. How do you beat that? You might be thinking the theater is run down and divey, but they recently renovated it with new seating, new paint, digital projectors, new sound system, the works. And it has paid off nicely. Yes, it isn't an AMC or a Marcus theater and you don't get some of those frills here, but there you will be paying $8-12 bucks a show. This theater can stand on its own. The concessions are well priced and actually taste good, the seating is really comfortable with ample leg room, staff are very friendly and hard working, and there is a nice amount of movie choices throughout the week. The theater only has two theaters, but they are long and large and can fit a lot of people. If you have read my reviews for a while now, you know I like to live like I'm rich but not spend like I'm rich. This place is the best of both worlds. A good use of two bucks!

Remember cash only for tickets, but you can use credit card for concession stand. Inside the theater, it is cold so just remember to wear your coat. Otherwise, sound and visual were fine as well as cleanliness. If you miss the first showing of film, then be sure to check out this place.
