Decided to check this theater out for a free AAA24 film. Went early on a Friday evening. While it wasn't busy they only had 1 working kiosk to buy tickets which worked a little slow. They had a decent concession offering. A bar with its own area, generally decent lobby. They have recliners but they are super uncomfortable as the leg part reclines but the back hardly goes back so they don't fully recline (opposite of AMC southdale). I do like that they have the option to order food and pick it up on your way in. They do $6 Tuesdays + free popcorn but you can get heated, full reclines for $5 + free popcorn elsewhere. read more

I choose this theater for a movie premiere night because of the Ultrascreen DLX to experience. I was excited to see it on the big screen with amplified surround sound; however, I did not feel like the experience was significantly different than a typical movie theater. Also, we sat in the last row and the theater was so big that the larger screen size was not noticeable. Popcorn was great, butter is added behind the counter. The ticket, cleaning and counter staff were all extremely kind & the theater/seats felt very clean. Unfortunately, the seats do not fully recline & the theater was extremely warm (we went on a seasonably warm day, so its possible the air had yet to be adjusted for the season). read more

I'd give it zero stars if I could. The seats don't fully recline, but I can overlook that, except over $14 a ticket for a room that doesn't have heat? C'mon! At least tell people when they buy tickets at the front so they can decide not to see a film in the arctic! The room had to be 55°, they have a peice of paper on the door as you walk in saying the heat isn't working, and still charge full price for tickets. This is ridiculous! I'm never coming back. They have great seats. Super comfortable. Go back far. Lots of padding. Good screens and the rooms are just small enough to create a good visual experience with a tight frame. Great, crisp projectors. Sound is way too low. Tuesday is now $6.50 but with free popcorn. AMC might be cheaper I wish there was a wall between rows and not just a railing. They clearly didn't pay for the seats and were obnoxious. They had their phones out and make ruckuss for us when we are trying to watch the movie of course, they don't expect Marcus to care because they never do when there's a complaint and we've been coming here for years. So here we are. With young adult patrons ruined our family movie at Marcus. In my experience, Marcus won't care our respond. The Marcus Theater has very nice seats, they are large, comfortable and recline up and down. There are also good food options if you want your traditional movie theater snacks or a meal. They have taken some good measures to prepare for COVID, although the theater was pretty empty. I would go again and recommend going here for a luxury movie experience. read more

Manager on duty must have been picked on in school, Took my three kids to daytime time movie and wanted to sit and get work done. The definition of agism is this establishment. I am a 18 year old self sufficient patron and I wasn't able to see a R rated movie because I forgot my ID at home. I was directed to a refund lady who clearly doesn't enjoy her job. She was overall rude and made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I didn't have my physical card so she couldn't refund me. She stated that I could get a gift card but why would I want to come back to this establishment that made me feel completely violated. This is not how a business should act towards a paying customer. Never in my life have I faced such profiling. I have called for the past 2 consecutive days and haven't received any form of communication. On Christmas Day, 2022, my husband and I had tickets to see Avatar. My husband opened the theater front door for me, I stepped in and immediately slipped and fell. I had hip-replacement surgery on 11/8. I was in great pain upon my husband helping me to my feet. My husband informed the first employee whom we encountered. Her response was "I'm so sorry. People have been falling there all day." The manager finally came out, asked if I could sit through the movie, and when I said "No", she refunded our tickets. As my husband and I were leaving the theater, another person fell in the same place as me. I then went to the ER for x-rays. I now have an ER bill for the visit. I have spent almost two months trying to get the theater to address my medical bill and display the slightest interest in how I was doing. No returned calls from management. I had to email corporate customer relations to get any response. They contacted Southbridge Crossing twice before I finally got an email from their insurance provider. Now the insurance provider won't respond. We will NEVER set foot in this theater again. There are plenty of other theaters who understand customer service. read more

The Bad- The reason it isn't a 5 Star review is because the soda fountain wasn't working and to get a drink was $5 for a Gatorade. Concessions for bottled products are overpriced. The water pipe had frozen and burst so no water no beverages. Then while in the theater the fire alarm went off (likely because a plumber went through the wrong door) and that was another 45 minute wait. They did give us an additional movie pass to come back but babysitters are more than the free pass. Am happy they didn't make us ask for tickets. To round out the poor movie Going experience was when I asked if Star Wars has another hour and the young lady working said no 20 minutes. I asked again for her to find out because my movie just got out and is an hour shorter. She found another co-worker who agreed (as they looked at the theater and the "time left" sign.) I said even with the fire alarm? They both said yes. Instead of going shopping for an hour I waited for "20" minutes and had a drink. It was over an hour before it was out. Needless to say I could have easily gone shopping. The Good- This is an amazing theater from a first time experience as far as impressive and updated. I love that they have a larger bar area with food so we can have a beverage while kids movie is finishing. Stacy and Aaron at the bar are great! Of course it's clean but the theater seats are softer than Eden Prairie and their ultra screen deluxe theater the main theater seats are also heated the Dolby output sound is nice for the epic movies. This just opened a couple months** ago and I can say my overall score is a 4/5 because it is a nice upgrade from the old movie theater but the only problem are the seats. The ones in the back are stopped by the bar behind them so you're sitting at an angle but not as far as you would like to. I sat in the back rows once and never again, my back hurt so bad I was tossing in my seat. Not comfortable at all If you sit in the front rows (I would suggest sitting in row F) you can recline your seats all the way back. Tuesdays are great deals the $5 movies. It's nice that they have KIOSK so people can just pick up their movie tickets and not deal with long lines. read more

I have been here multiple times over the last 2 years and they always deliver when it comes to popcorn and good reclining seats. Saw Avengers Endgame 7 times last year at this movie theatre and enjoyed it. Also saw the Star Wars 9 premiere here. I surely hope that $5 Tuesday's comeback in a couple of months as I miss those. I would order a Pinot noir or one of their themed cocktails and just sit and enjoy a movie. The pizzas they have are okay not what I would order off the menu though. I would say the Oreo churros, burgers or nachos or of course the popcorn. Just about every food item off the menu is decent except the pizza. The staff have always been friendly when I have visited. I love this movie theater. The seats are comfortable and even have a heat setting. The sound is loud and clear. The screens are big and aren't cut off by the seats! It's laid out perfectly! The staff are very friendly and kind. Especially on Tuesdays (when it's $5 movie night) they always check and ask if you have a rewards! I've never had a problem coming here. It's an hour away from me and I can honestly say I prefer this movie theater over any other movie theater that's closer to where I live, that's how much I love this movie theater! The theater itself if just fine, chairs are comfortable, worth the extra money compared to stadium seats in older theaters. My issue was with the bar. There were 3 people working at the bar, but it still took us 18 minutes to get a drink.. we even revised what we planned to order so that nothing would have to be "mixed" and take longer... One glass of wine and one beer. Yes it took 18 minutes, and meanwhile 2 or 3 people would approach the bar and managed to get in and out quicker than us. Don't bother getting a drink unless you have atleast 20-30 minutes to spare. Very disappointing. read more

This theater wasn't built long ago, but the Marcus company skimped hard on the quality of the seats. They tried to make a big deluxe theater with individual plush seats, like many other theaters are doing in the modern age, but the seats are much smaller than other theaters' seats, and they're quite uncomfortable. The foot rest comes all the way up, but the back of the seat barely reclines, and the pillow area cranks your head forward and gives you a headache every time you see a movie. Additionally, this theater has started to CHECK PEOPLE'S BAGS when entering the theater. They CLAIM it's for safety reasons, but how many mass shooters have brought their guns into a theater inside a purse? They also have large signs with pictures of snacks on them that say "No Carry-ins" so it's obvious what they're actually checking bags for. They skimped on seat quality, they charge too much for tickets, they charge too much for snacks, and now they're checking people's bags. Worst theater around my area by FAR. Won't go here ever again. read more
