Fish very fresh must order Grilled octopus: this odds the best grilled octopus I've tried and I've ordered in several places Tequenos lomo saltado : they were good but not great. It's like a spring roll w lomo I think they're too expensive for what they are Maki furai roll: really good, this was the only roll we could order in the menu because my wife is allergic to shrimp Fettuccine à la huancaina w lomo saltado : the best dish you can order here. Embarcadero 41 was a rare treat! My family went to Peru for 2 weeks and came back with great memories and a love for the Peruvian food inspired by local, Japanese and Chinese influences. E41 allowed us to relive those memories through their delicious food. From causa, chufa, tiraditos and, of course ceviches, it's well worth the trip. The menu offers three (3) Lomo Saltado variations: 1.) beef w/ rice, 2.) beef w/ rice + a Fried Egg on top, and 3.) beef w/ pasta. I actually ordered mine ToGo trying to get to a Juneteenth Day show. The flavor was very good with delicious cooked onions and cooked red pepper with lots of juice. It actually brought both rice and French Fries so it is high in carbohydrates. I've eaten at a few Embarcadero 41 locations and always have such a positive experience. The Coral Springs location offers plenty of parking and seating inside. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and modern. We celebrated our friend's birthday dinner and everyone loved their food. I shared the Huancaina fettuccine and the Teriyaki Entraña Sushi roll. Both were phenomenal and I would go as far as to say this is one of my favorite sushi rolls of all time. I also think theirs is the best huancaina sauce I've had due to a cheesy profile that it has (and I am a cheese lover). We also had a Maracuyá Pisco Sour, which was beautifully presented and the perfect balance of flavors. You could definitely taste the Pisco, but it was not too strong. Our service was also phenomenal. Our server checked on us often and was very friendly. While the prices are a little high, the quality and flavors make it worthwhile. We had enjoyed a meal at a sister location in Pembroke Pines, so when our friends said they wanted to try this one in Coral Springs we were happy. Plenty of accessible parking near the front. We were greeted and seated immediately and given menus to look over. We had to ask for a Happy Hour menu to review. Our friends arrived and as we all looked over the menus we placed our drink orders. I ordered a Chilcano classico,( my favorite Chilcano Maracuya wasn't part of the HH), which was light and refreshing. My wife and I shared the Corvina escoviche which had nice cubes of lime marinated Corvina, plump corn kernels and sliced onion. Overall this place is okay. The food is good but the prices are rather high for the customer experience. They don't have a liquor license so all their cocktails are made with wine. My husband ordered a "margarita" and after tasting it we realized it wasn't actually tequila but priced like there was. Service was rather slow for a restaurant with higher end menu items. The server came by only a few times during our meal and at one point I felt like he forgot we were there even though he kept passing by us. We would have ordered more food but his lack of attention made up decide to not try anything else. I joked with my husband that "we live here now" because we sat at the table with empty plates and drinks for nearly 25 min before my husband had to flag down the waiter for the check. We had a wonderful dinner here with friends. We'd been to their Pembroke Pines restaurant for an elite event and liked their food. So when I was setting up a get together in northern Broward, i suggested we try this Coral Springs location. We came early to take advantage of their happy hour menu. Prices are greatly reduced. Some portions are smaller in size than their regular menu, but this offers a perfect introduction to those unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine. For HH drinks, I tried their red sangria. It was refreshing. My husband had their classic Chilcano drink. This light drink is made with pisco, ginger ale, and lime. We began by sharing their corvina ceviche. The corvina is expertly marinated in a citrus bath. The fish is melt in your mouth delicious. Large soft corn kernels, thin slivers of red onions, and a chunk of sweet potato round out the dish. Even those who don't like or don't eat "raw" fish, will be won over by this dish. After the ceviche we chose two maki (sushi) rolls. I had their avocado roll with shrimp tempura. He had the roll with salmon and a passion fruit sauce. Both were larger than expected and excellent. We felt like we'd eaten healthy. We were more than satisfied but not stuffed. I placed an order by phone and they told me it was going to be ready in 20. I got a text that my food was ready in ten minutes. So far so good. I get there and the hostess was clueless, she approached the bartender for my order and he tell her that "he was busy". I stood there waiting for a good 5 minutes. When bartender decided it was time for me to get my order he told me that there was no other under my name. Are you sure you are at the right place? No dumb ass, I got lost on my way and ended here. Stupid! So I showed him the text. The idiot who took my order screw my name up. Obviously they don't speak the language very well. I had asked for a lot of onions and all I got was a little container that had barely any onions in it. When I asked for more onions he said NO, it only comes with the tiny bit they had given me and if I wanted more I needed to pay for it. I just stared at him and roll my eyes and paid for the horrible "Jalea" I had order. I didn't want anything for free but at the same time the person that took my order should have told me that the onions where extra. This right here is what I paid $30 dollars for. My wife was in the mood for octopus, and we decided to check out Embarcadero 41. We arrived and were promptly shown to a table. The service was friendly and efficient. We started with a tuna appetizer that excellent. She ordered the Octopus and I ordered one of the specialties, salmon dished that sounded excellent. Everything came and looked just at good as the photos in the menu. Excellent flavors as well. We had originally ordered some pisco sours, and while the presentation was great the flavor was not. We returned them and got wine instead. One point of disagreement during our visit if the fact that they sanitize the tables with a formula that has a strong rubbing alcohol smell. I appreciate it and like the fact that i know the tables are clean. My wife felt that the smell was a bit strong and distracted from the good smell coming from the dishes. I was at the West Boca location and it was terrific. I treated my boyfriend to dinner and we both loved what we ordered. The ceviche mixto was excellent and I am a ceviche snob. My boyfriend ordered a meat dish and it too was delicious. It's nice that they are part of Jet Blue Dining and the only complaint I have, is that I was supposed to get 3x miles for every dollar spent and I received 2x. I'm in touch with Jet Blue Dinibg regarding this matter though. Highly recommend for food, service and atmosphere in Boca. Great location too! read more

I definitely wanted to like this spot but it just didn't pass the vibes or even the flavor test. Inside was very packed and cold (it was raining earlier during the day) and it was looking like we would have to wait longer to get seated inside so we chose to sit outside. It took them 15 minutes to come wipe down the table we chose and the outside area was just badly kept. This is definitely a meat place as the ribs were somewhat tasty (the French fries were very delish, I will give them that) but the rest of the items we had didn't make a lasting impression. We were excited to find a good Peruvian food spot near home as it was recommended by a friend (needless to say we are no longer friends [controversial I know but this is food we are taking about]) and it really disappointed us. The pictures look so amazing even the sushi looks like it could be very tasty but unfortunately there is just too many flavors being combined within the dishes that just don't mix. The staff only speaks Spanish (I speak Spanish so it wasn't like a huge deal) but my fiancé tried to order a beer and the girl looked at him, bucked her lip and left with a nasty face on her, that was disappointing because before we had the chance of being heard we were passed around a total of 3 people. The food was all brought out together (appetizers AND main courses) and the table was small so we were just scrambling to make it fit. The servers were acting like we were at a self serve kind of place, no proper etiquette, no removal of empty plates and reorganization of the table to at least make it somewhat comfortable... just a mess, I would've loved to give this place a betters rating but we left mad, sad and annoyed that we spent $200 (tip was not yet included [yes, we tipped we are not inconsiderate people] before we got to the final number) on food that was just not worth it. They need better staff, that understands team work... I guess during the day they can do a more casual service but at night maybe hire people who have a little more experience and can direct the guests towards better recommendations on the menu both for drinks and for food as that is the star of the show. Overall I would give it a 1.5 and they definitely have a lot to improve. If you are not picky and you just like very casual service this is the kind of place you can visit but if you enjoy getting your money's worth I would definitely say stay away at least until they make the improvements highlighted here. read more

I just paid $19 for a regular order of Tequeños de Lomo Saltado to go. I've had them before and they were absolutely delicious, which is why I was excited to order them again. Unfortunately, the order we received today was made with ground beef, and the flavor and texture were more like a greasy fried empanada. Maybe it's just a matter of preference--I'm not a fan of ground beef--but it was really disappointing. Especially considering this was meant to be a treat on top of our $16 lunch special. To avoid disappointing more customers, I'd suggest changing the name of the item. Calling it Tequeños de Lomo Saltado sets a very different expectation. Something like Empanada Frita would be more accurate and help prevent confusion. Hoping this was just a one-off, but it didn't reflect the quality we've come to expect. read more

I was fasting and thought I needed somewhere exceptionally good to break my fast. I definitely made the right choice. Peruvian food is always good but these guys take it to the next level. Service was decent and the place looks very nice on the inside. Every time I drive by, they look packed. The only available spot was at the bar, so that's where I sat. Here's what I tried - Inka Maki Salmon roll (passion fruit) - Panko breaded shrimp, cream cheese topped with salmon and a passion fruit sauce. This tasted good but I will say the amount of salmon they put was an extremely thin slice and the roll itself felt small for the price. Had they been more generous with the salmon i wouldn't have felt that way but taking the price into account I would not order these again. Taste - 4/5. Size 2.5/5 ($18) Fettuccine al pesto con lomo saltado - Fettuccine in a traditional peruvian pesto sauce, served with stir fried beef tenderloin, onions and tomatoes. Insanely good. I've only tried lomo saltado a handful of times and had never really thought much of it but this dish changed that completely. The meat was so tender and cooked medium, it was bursting with flavor. The pasta was also delicious. The two paired so nicely together. I loved this dish. 5/5 ($23) A more accurate rating would be 4.5 but I will round up because the lomo was THAT good. I'm curious to explore more of their menu but I would most likely stay away from their sushi considering the hefty price and small serving of protein. Recently came here to celebrate my mother in laws birthday. The food was 5/5 stars but 3/5 for service. We were seated and then had to flag someone down to come take our order after 10/15 min of us just sitting there without waters. Literally some of the best food I've ever had in my entire life. GO HERE!!!! We are regulars at both the Coral Springs and Boca locations and have never been disappointed. We go all out when we come here we order the conchitas al a parmesana, ceviche trio, grilled octopus, Causa Nikkei crocante, Acevichado roll, pulpo antichuchero taco sake and taco nikkei and a few more but these are our staples we order every single time we go. The restaurant itself is beautiful very clean and our servers always seem very knowledgeable when it came to the menu items. I really don't have anything bad to say about this spot. I do need to say we were very disappointed when we went to the sunrise location I don't know why but everything we ordered lacked in flavor which was odd considering we got all the same item so just don't go to the sunrise location. read more
