This place is scary! The people who work here are lovely! Really good folk. Imagine being lured to Williamsburg to talk time share by Hilton and they put you up in a tear down! The ceiling moldy!...we changed rooms... tired, dirty, and lots broken. We thought... if this is how they care for a property why would we buy into it? Our sales guy explained it away as a holiday shortage of rooms and that's why we were put in this hotel. The hotel is scheduled for renovation...but I'd avoid it until that time! It became a comedy... don't spend good money on this spot...

Having staff serve the buffet items speeds the process...well done, ladies!

This is a special shout-out to the hotel's breakfast crew: Erica, Patricia, Linda and Ernestine -- their bright and bubbly personalities have made our school group's mornings start on a high note. It's nice to see how much they enjoy what they're doing and we couldn't be happier they are taking care of our tour group so well! Well done, ladies!

A good place to stay when visiting Colonial Williamsurg The Embassy Suites is located within a few miles of the historic city of Colonial Williamsburg. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. There is plenty of parking around the hotel. As with most Embassy Suites hotels, it offers all-suite accommodations with separate living rooms and bedrooms, making it a great option for families or groups of travelers or groups that wants space to spread out when in the room. There is a central atrium that is open to the roof presenting a large open space as you enter and allowing guests to see the whole hotel when they step out of their room. This hotel differed from other Embassy suites in a few ways. It sports only 5 floors where many others are much taller. The elevators do not have any windows to see the atrium and our suite had the bathroom near the front door instead of between the bedroom and living room. Happy hour and cooked-to-order breakfast are served on the main floor at the appropriate times. Rooms are accessed by stairs or one of the elevators bordering the atrium. The staff was friendly. The room and common areas were clean. The rooms was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, flat-screen TVs, and Wi-Fi. The hotel has a fitness center. Overall, this Embassy Suites is a good choice for travelers visiting the area.

    Very bad bug

Very disgusting and very bad they made us pay two dollars for water in the elevator is like slower than turtle

    Mold

Upon arrival we were greeted by an amazing staff and our room/suite appeared to be to standard upon first glance. Not long after getting situated we noticed a few issue with the room. There was mold in the shower, parts of the furniture and structure of the shower were falling apart, the AC was not working and the rooms air quality/ventilation could use improvement. We reported the problem but nobody came out. We suffered the most on our last night.

We are Hilton Diamond members so always try to stay with the Hilton Family of Hotels when we travel. For this quick weekend trip to Williamsburg we were traveling with our two daughters as well as another family with two kids so we opted for Embassy because we like the pretty standard one bedroom suite options. For this stay we were also able to get an adjoining room with the other family. Check in was super easy and the front desk staff was pleasant. It's a nice lobby with the restaurant and bar area right after you pass the desk in an open atrium area. Each floor forms a ring around it looking down. The pool area is okay if a little sparse. Only a handful of chairs. At one point the had a hot tub (according to pictures) and we had been looking forward to after a day spent at Busch Gardens but apparently it was taken out at some point. Bummer. The reason I gave this hotel three stars instead of four is two reasons. The room sizes were cramped. We didn't expect a ton of space but we've stayed at a number of Embassy suites and these ones are just small. I'm talking two people can't comfortably pass each other if trying to walk between the base of the bed and the dresser in the bedroom. Or even when between the beds. Which leads to the second reason for three stars. One of the beds had a broken (sharp)part of the bed frame exposed and sticking out. When my husband trident slide behind me as I was leaning over the bed getting something from our suitcase, he sliced his lower leg open on it and instantly started bleeding pretty good. We called sown ti the front desk for a band aid and some antiseptic ointment but they never showed or brought it. They seemed almost indifferent to the fact that it even happened when he called. Luckily the friends we were traveling with had a bandaid he could use after the bleeding stopped and he got it cleaned up. The next morning we went down for their breakfast buffet. And this is the reason the review is saved and still solidly at 3 stars (might have even bumped it to a 4 if not for the injury). The buffet is one of the better ones we've had at a hotel. And it is included with your stay. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, the woman making the omelettes was great and the omelet was loaded and tasty! We for downstairs at a busy time but they kept replenishing so no food ran out. We would probably stay here again but maybe not tonight it's so many people as there simply isn't space for it.

We had a nice 1 night stay there while visiting Williamsburg. Our room was clean, and comfortable. In the morning, we had breakfast there. It was a buffet style that they serve the food to you. The pancakes and sausage were barely warm, so we had to leave them on the plate. You can toast you'd own bread, and get your own cereal and juice. They did make the eggs to order however you like. This is a real plus from what the other hotels are offering during COVID. The ladies that served the breakfast were super kind and helpful. I'm glad to see things starting to go back to the direction of normal. That is a good option to stay if we are at Williamsburg again.

This is the sofa that was in our hotel room. This was the nastiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The bed was like sleeping plywood.

This is the sofa that was in our room, nasty soiled sofa. The beds are hard as pile wood. I would Never stay at this hotel ever.

    Another stain on the couch

First of all, the only thing making this a 2 star is the breakfast. The room was horrible, there were stains everywhere. And also the bathroom floors were sticky. Everything is also stained to go along with it. Even with all of that the worst is the mold in the window. But the fountain and the breakfast is fire.

get used to seeing a lot of this. You may want to grab a snack.

Diamond member here. Stay somewhere else. This is not a real Embassy Suites. I mean, the room's got a door and a sofa bed, but the similarities stop there. Paltry snacks? Check. Exasperated staff? Check. Bud keg kicked at 1745 so only beer is Bud Light? Oh yeah. You like tiny 60s elevators that creak? We got TWO. Ever tipped to get served off a buffet line? You have now. Didn't let the kids get in the pool. Demo this place.

Not only was there water damage in the room, a leaky tub, and busted lamp shades, but to top it off there were bed bugs! I brought it to the attention of the front desk clerk and she wanted to argue with me about if you can actually SEE bed bugs! Yes I saw it, my husband killed it and there was blood on the bed to prove it. Not to mention I had bites on my leg from them! They offer no compensation and a half baked apology!! Don't stay here! I am definitely contacting corporate about our stay.

The mattress seemed a little firm and was not as comfortable as other Hilton facilities, but maybe it's a sign I am getting older. We appreciated our stay but have experienced better at other Hilton facilities. This does not mean that the staff are not attentive, just a different experience for us this round. They said "we thought you already checked out." I had not and felt extremely intruded upon. I gave it a second try last weekend - never again. This time there wasn't much the staff could have done. The hallways and main corridors were super warm. The room was renovated and was clean - mostly, however, the walls were super thin. One one side a family was blasting the movie Hamilton halfway into the night while on the other side a toddler was screaming for hours. The child did not sleep until after 1AM... so neither did we. I don't blame the other guests, however, structurally I would not stay here. The doors were also thin so I knew who was running down the hall and talking at all hours. I was lucky - our room, 403, was near the end of the hallway. I can't imagine what it would have been like in front of the elevator. At breakfast the person helping us kept standing there staring at us. Each time I went back up to the buffet, I felt their eyes on me. It was quite uncomfortable. Finally, worst of all, I did not feel safe in my room. The hitch that holds the door closed was loose and I didn't trust it to keep us safe. I reported all of these concerns at checkout. I was not even thanked for letting them know, muchless had anyone apologize for the experience. This one is a nope for me.

I think that part of the problem is that they have a number of long-stay residents, as I've learned from talking to fellow guests. Yes, I know that Residence Inn is generally targeted for longer hotel stays, but these are people staying months at a time for a temporary job. There is nothing inherently wrong with those types of guests, but it leads to a downgrade in level of service from that of a hotel to that of an apartment building. Also, as a pet-friendly hotel, the hotel has turned into a de facto unattended kennel during the day. While their owners are at work, or vacation travelers go to places where dogs are not welcome, the dogs are left alone in rooms all day, barking and whining...all...day...long. And once one starts, they all start. The constant din is really unbearable during the day. In the last year or so, signs have gone up around the hotel about Quiet Hours being from 10:00pm to 8:00am. The fact that the hotel management felt it necessary to put those signs up portends the type of behavior that you can expect from some of their current clientele. Garbage cans/piles sitting outside rooms will be there all day long. The walls in the hallways are all marked up. The internet was squirrelly and, according to the staff, it has been that way for over a month due to a power outage. On our most recent visit, we were in our room for less than an hour when the door pops open with another guest walking in that had been assigned the same room...assigned by the same person at the front desk that assigned us that room. When we queried the lady at the front desk about it later, she said that's been happening since the power outage a month or so ago. The lack of concern on the part of the lady at the front desk was alarming. And then when we went back to our room, our keys no longer worked. It's really a shame. It is a great location, right on the strip. Many of the staff are friendly and trying to do their jobs, and the complimentary breakfast is pretty good. However, this hotel is not operating anywhere NEAR the Marriott level, and it is damaging the Marriott brand.

First of all, there was an instruction card that came with the reservation however while it did indicate that there is a backdoor, it did not inform that this was the 'main' entrance. There is very limited parking and if you want to park across at the church on or the street, you are at risk of towing. They have no passes for parking in these locations. The beds are their own issue. If you are vertically challenged, you will have great difficulty getting into the main beds. We stayed in a 'suite' (I use this term laughingly as it was just two connecting rooms) that had another room with twin beds. While the main bed seemed to have a mattress from the last century, the twin beds were ancient. The "pillows" that they give you are quite literally flatter than a pancake they would serve you for breakfast. The suite we stayed in was in the front of the house and there is no insulation to cancel ANY of the traffic noises from outside. It was very very stuffy inside and I wasn't able to open a window. We asked for a step stool and were given one that wasn't even as high as a normal step on a staircase. It was still very difficult to get in to the bed. At no time while I was there did I see, hear or meet the host/hostess of the B&B. The only time we met any employee was in the morning during breakfast. These ladies were AMAZING. They almost made up for the lack of any other service or greeting in their friendliness. The breakfast was late the day I was there. There are signs everywhere stating that it would be served at 8:30 but it was closer to 9:30. I'm an early riser so this was a bit of an inconvenience. At least the coffee was available. They had eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, toast, cereal etc. It was set up as a buffet style in a very stylish area of the serving area. The dining room table is gorgeous but there are no placemats to put your plates on, I felt very worried about scratching this gorgeous table. The non guest rooms were fit with comfy areas to just relax and chill after a day of being a tourist. The furniture may not have been the most comfortable, but given how cozy each area was this was easily forgiven. I really enjoyed that each room had a Christmas tree already set up. This is not very handicapped friendly as no matter which way you enter, there are very old steps. The front steps were especially bad. To sum up; Parking; F Comfort; B Room Comfort: C+ Breakfast: A Location: A- Price: C (for our experience it was really really pricey)
