She gave me the exact amount of pressure I wanted/requested, and adjusted mid-massage when she found a couple more tender spots. The warm towels were a lovely addition. Chris coordinated all of my reservations and handled every detail seamlessly. They truly did not miss a beat. From the beautifully curated setup to the thoughtful touches--balloons, champagne, mimosas, strawberry lemonade, sparkling water, tea, and an incredible spread of light bites (charcuterie, vegetables, fruit, nuts, and strawberry shortcake)--everything was executed flawlessly. The experience felt incredibly exclusive, almost like I had the entire spa to myself and my guests. Antonio, the owner, greeted us personally and ensured we received white glove treatment from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I genuinely felt like a queen celebrating such a special milestone. When I walked into the lounge and saw the setup, I was overwhelmed--in the best way. I actually cried. The robes, slippers, added seating, and overall décor were stunning. Every detail felt intentional and elevated. My massage with Brenda was phenomenal. She worked out tension I didn't even realize I was carrying, and her nurturing, calming energy made the experience even more special. I left feeling relaxed, cared for, and completely restored. I'll absolutely be booking with her again--and I'm already planning to return for a facial with Ruby. If you've ever considered celebrating your birthday--or any special occasion--this way, run, don't walk to Unwind Wellness. I would rate this experience a 1000 out of 10. You will be cared for, celebrated, and treated exceptionally well.

Aura Spa is a quality spa inside the Vida Fitness in Navy Yard without breaking the bank. Here's…read morewhy I enjoyed it: 1) Location: It's inside the Vida Fitness in Navy Yard. Check in at the gym front desk and head straight back through the door that says "Aura Spa." There's street and garage parking nearby and a metro only blocks away. 2) Price: For a 60-minute quality massage in a nice environment, it only cost $115 not including tip. For this area, that's not bad. 3) Experience: It was a great experience. They made sure you stay hydrated, don't make you wait, and don't talk to you during the massage so you can relax.

See photo attached for entrance to the spa. I came here because I pulled my shoulder and it hurt to bend, turn, lay down, sit up, and basically everything else. I saw Agnes and she was amazing. She was attentive and gentle but still got the job done. The inside was so calm, and the ambience was relaxing and chill. I definitely felt pampered. I scheduled my appointment last night and was able to get in today. I have another appointment later this week since my massage therapist back home said to wait 5-7 days if you're getting a massage for a targeted area/for muscle pain, but I will definitely come here again! Another Yelper said $115/60 mins is great for Navy Yard, and while I think I could find less elsewhere, Agnes was worth it and I cant wait to go again. I felt immediate relief in my shoulder, and she even worked out knots in my lower back. She provided a full body massage (head, neck, shoulders, back, lower back, glutes, legs) and I left feeling like a new person.

The check-in and retail area is bright and well-curated. Kinh was the attendant and she was wonderful. I checked in and then went into the tea lounge for relaxation. Kinh then took myself and another guest to the spa area. The spa amenities are downstairs, but treatment rooms are both upstairs and downstairs. The elevator is located in the main hotel so if you need to use it, you must leave the spa. The locker room is fine. There are a few showers, plus some vanities and toiletries. What is really nice about this spa is the vitality pool. For amenities, they have a steam room, sauna, vitality pool, and relaxation lounge. The vitality pool is the biggest part of a spa experience for me, and many spas in this area do not offer that. The one here is sparkling clean and warm. And I went early enough that I had it to myself, which was even better. Sauna and steam room were lovely and I appreciate the eucalyptus cooling towels. The relaxation lounge is great. The snacks are not. The offerings are fresh fruit, pretzels, mixed nuts, and wasabi peas, along with spa water and two types of tea. The pretzels were stale. I recommend a snack mix, a trail mix, and maybe something sweet along with fruit and beverages. I've had much better spa snacks. I inadvertently booked a facial without extractions, which is honestly pointless. However, it was very relaxing, and I did feel myself starting to fall asleep a few times, and since I was visiting for relaxation, I didn't mind. I would never book it again though and my skin didn't look all that great after. The spa lacks the elegance and ritual that was included when it was Mandarin Oriental. I was really trying not to compare, but it's hard. Even arrival was a downgraded experience because none of the doormen assisted with exiting the car (same upon leaving). I'd return for a treatment that I was really looking forward with hopes that some improvements have been made.

We just moved to Alexandria so we wanted to check out what this is like in case we want to come back. Our spa pass included a mimosa and access to their outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and relaxation lounges. There were also snacks and teas in the lounges. They also provide you with a locker, sandals, and a robe, and all the towels you'd ever need. The outdoor pool was fairly small but there were several places to sit outside with umbrellas so we enjoyed our time there with the view. The sauna was like the saunas in most gyms so I didn't spend much time there but I enjoyed the steam room for sure. The only reason I'm docking a star is that I don't think the spa pass was worth the $100pp it would have been normally, as the amenities were pretty standard and the women's locker room was pretty small. It def makes sense being in the MGM resort and can be great for guests but I'd rather spend my money at a standalone spa like King Spa that had more unique offerings. Still was a great day though and great to know this is right there in case we wanted to come back or try a massage etc.
