4/5 stars I stopped by Emerald City Smoothie recently and tried their Guava Sunrise smoothie. It was exactly what I needed today! It was incredibly refreshing with the perfect balance of tropical guava flavor. The smoothie had a great consistency, not too thick or thin. The bright, fruity taste really did make it feel like a sunrise in a cup! The Mango Berry smoothie wasn't bad either. The service was quick and the store maintains that clean, energetic vibe their "nourish your body" slogan suggests. While the prices are a bit on the higher side for smoothies, the quality makes it worth an occasional treat. read more

So happy to have found this smoothie place! Love me a good protein shake and smoothie and it's allllllways better when someone else make it for you. Am I right!? ;) I got the lean body peanut butter chocolate shake and it was sooooo good. Planning to get another one in an hour our two bc I know my son will want a refreshing smoothie after his long day of soccer. So many different drinks here and tons of variety of protein cookies, bars, and other snacks. Employees are super friendly, the space is big and clean, and the drinks are delicious. Was craving a fruity smoothie with benefits so I stopped by here. It was hopping. Steady line of customers. Friendly staff. Mostly grab and go. They also have a great supply of protein bars and the like. I saw some types I hadn't seen before as well as some established favorites. I didn't quite see the taste combo I wanted on the menu so next time I will make my own combo; this time I chose the coconut smoothie. It was very tasty. Would go back. read more

I love coming to Emerald City Smoothie. This was my first time at the Tukwila location and the whole experience there was fantastic! The inside is pretty spacious and well kept. There is a little area for customers to sit down on the side while you wait and/or consume your order. The customer service was great as the employees are always so patient when taking orders and verifying/confirming orders before customers pay for them. Their smoothie was very good, yet super expensive. The 32 oz cup will cost $9.15. Luckily I had a coupon received in the mail for 50% off so I paid roughly $4.60. The place is quite spacious and staff is nice! The drinks were brought to us by the staff which is very courteous. I got a mango berry and enjoyed it. I don't remember the last time I drank the entire cup but this time I did!!!! The store also sells protein powders and other healthy products. Stop by to try it once in a while would not hurt. I don't think I will be a regular though. The place is located right next to Red Wing Shoes, in the parkway plaza same as Habit Burger! Plenty of parking!!! read more

This place is WONDERFUL and the people are WONDERFUL. They are fast and efficient to say the least. I screwed up when I ordered on line because I never paid lol but when I showed up they quickly got my order done without any issues or complaints... I enjoyed the bowl of goodness....it was pricey at $15 (in Cali they are only $10 and haven't tried a smoothie from here but the flavor choices seemed like they could use a revamp but I guess I would have to try one first read more

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to pick up two smoothies. They were pretty busy at the time. Staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. While I was deciding what to order someone tried to cut in front of me. Fortunately the gentleman behind counter said something to this person and I was able to order. I ordered two lean outs. I have tried multiple locations within the past couple months: Renton, Kent, Federal Way, Bellevue. But seriously, this place is THE BEST! I honestly only get one drink from ECS every time I visit: a 32oz. chocolate Lean Out. After say... the 4th visit in this location, I walk in and the manager or the owner of this franchise location (I think he is) says welcome and HE is the one that tells me my order haha. He is super friendly. Not just him though. Everyone who works there are super friendly. They always have a smile on their faces and they've always greeted me when I walk in by myself or with my friends. They always say have a great day whenever we walk out. And then there's me saying, "see ya tomorrow!" And I usually do come back the next day haha! I've been here more than however many checkins I have, I just forget sometimes. So obviously, customer service is 5/5! As far as the drink is concerned, it has always been consistent. There were a couple of times when my drink was a bit watery or maybe it was a little too thick. But that's negligible. For the most part, all the people who makes my drink pretty much know the formula on how to make the thickness consistent. Just a little note though. There is a small transaction fee when you pay with card. But they'll always ask you if you want to pay cash or card, and they never neglect to ask you if you want your receipt or not. All these little things matter...seriously. I don't even mind that not all the nutrition facts are listed. Honestly, you can just look it up online. Also, you can make modifications in the store if you do not want or know what is in your smoothie. Yes, people say that it is a health concern or it is not fair that they do not put all the nutrition facts on their menu or on their pamphlets. But it is not that hard to ask the employees or maybe even just do your own research. Why would you come here in the first place if you end up complaining that they are making you fat or you're going to need an insulin shot after... just saying. It is common sense that you avoid things that are bad for you. So if you think that ECS is bad for you, personally because of their lack of nutritional facts, then you do not have to step into one. I am sure you can find other alternatives out there. Other than that, I will keep coming back here. Not to mention they are the only location (that I know of) that closes at 10pm. So if you are feeling like you need a little pick me up after work or before a night sesh in the gym, come through! Tell them Justin sent you! Just kidding... they don't know my name haha! But seriously, try their smoothies! You [probably] won't regret it! read more

Emerald City Smoothie is my go to place when in the PNW. The staff there are always super knowledgeable and professional when deciding which one to order. They also use fresh fruit and not that syrupy unhealthy stuff. This place is also one of the few places that actually offer and sell sea moss. Should I go on? Seriously this place is absolutely delicious. A must try if you're in the area. I would literally drive a few extra miles for the fresh produce and top tier service and if you ever visit there , I'm sure you will too. read more

I've only been there once, but I really liked the flavor of the Mango Mania. The person I was sharing with thought the mango could have been stronger because the pineapple kind of overpowered it, but I guess it's a matter of taste. Otherwise, the place is clean and sanitary, and the people behind the counter were very friendly. I'm also glad they ground up the ice well; sometimes smoothie makers don't leave the machine on long enough and you end up chewing on ice chunks. The Mango Mania was $6.29 for the smallest version (including tax). It might be a bit more than Starbucks, but the taste was good and I'll probably go again if I'm in the area. read more

There was a small line greeting us, but the drink makers are efficient, and we had our juice within a couple of minutes. Traditional Sugarcane Juice ($6.55) - Fresh squeezed and strained right in front of us, this juice tastes just like how it does in Southeast Asia. It's vegetal, it's grassy, it's really sweet, just how I like it on a hot and humid summer day (which technically wasn't the case here, but no matter). I've tried a couple of other sugarcane juice shops in the US in the last couple of years and this one tastes by far the most similar to my trips to Malaysia and Singapore. It's completely unadulterated; it can't get more fresh than this. One thing I especially love about this place - they don't dilute the drink with tons of ice. There's just enough to cool the drink and a bit more to keep it cool for another 15 minutes or so. It's a far cry from most other places that pack the cup with ice to the brim. Even after all the ice had melted, it was still sweet and refreshing! Natalie's is a great place to pick up a cold drink. If I'm craving sugarcane, this is where I'll head to in the future.

There was a gentleman at one of these computers who just silently stared at me as I wandered to find Emerald City Smoothie. He didn't move, smile, nothing. His eyes just followed me. Kinda feeling odd by this point I saw the Emerald City Smoothie to the left tucked in. You can't see it when stepping into the space and the one sign is on one wall eye level. But I guess they don't really need to advertise. One young woman was alone cranking out smoothies. She was diligent in her job treating her smoothies like someone on an assembly line. She spoke little and moved fast. There were a few people in front of me and each was served quickly with no commentary. Made me wonder if they should just install a kiosk where customers could put in their orders and she could just make them with no interaction. I left much as I entered, being stared at as I walked away. I don't think I will be back. It was weird.

I have been a loyal customer of Emerald City Smoothie for the past 7 years, consistently ordering the same drink for the last 3 years. Unfortunately, during my most recent visit, my drink was made incorrectly--it wasn't blended properly, and it lacked papaya. I called the store twice closer to closing time but received no response. The following day, I brought the drink back, hoping for a remake or refund. The staff contacted the manager, who refused to address the issue. I later spoke with the manager myself, and despite explaining that the drink was not made correctly, he insisted otherwise. I know the difference because I've ordered the same drink for years, and the quality this time was unacceptable. I will no longer be purchasing from this location, and my family members, who also frequent this store, will stop coming as well. I have already disputed the charge with my bank. For anyone else considering this location, be cautious as they seem unwilling to resolve customer complaints. If needed, the manager's contact number is 253-277-4648. I am a big fan of smoothies, and I have to say that Emerald City Smoothie in Tukwila makes the best smoothies around! Not only are the drinks delicious, but the staff is always so friendly and welcoming. What I appreciate most is the accuracy of their drinks. They make sure that the ingredients are blended perfectly to create the perfect texture and flavor! On the other hand, I cannot say the same for the Renton Landing location. Despite being under the same name, the smoothies at this location are just not up to par with the Tukwila location. I've had a few bad experiences here and I believe they could do better. Calling a black customer an a-hole because they were offended you walked the white customer's drink out and didn't bring them theirs makes you the a-hole. Been here a ton of times and I'm pretty sure that's what you're trained to do when there's no line. Read the room, we're all pissed about this right now. No place for this behavior right now less you want repercussions. Treat everyone with respect, calling out the white woman working tonight.
