Came there is morning. Was greeted right away. They do offer almond milk as a replacement. They offer great options of drinks. Also got bubble waffle. All of the drinks were amazing, full of flavor and just right on sweetness. Service was quick as well. Inside of the restaurant is very clean and neat. I stepped out to the restroom to wash my hands and this is when I saw the horror. Please please please clean the restroom. This is definitely very much an ok bubble tea place. The service is very quick and heads down and I would say little ownership for the workers here. I would say this shop definitely has the sweetest smelling aroma. Sometimes its ok with the egg waffles sometimes it's cloyingly sweet. The drinks themselves are ok. Happy Lemon was great. I really enjoy it there. They have excellent customer service, and great modern coffee shop vibe. As far as seating goes, it is kind of small, and there is not a lot of seating. I had the oreo cream milk tea and the oreo waffle with oreo cream puff sauce to dip it in. I ordered the Oreo puff milk tea and sea salt jasmine to go. The takeout is packed poorly. Those flimsy cardboard cup holders do nothing. Luckily the Oreo puff milk tea was sealed but for some reason the sea salt jasmine green tea was not sealed on top and it had tipped over in the bag. The entire drink was out in the bag. I did not get to enjoy it. I tossed it out. It's disappointing that such a large chain bubble tea shop doesn't have proper take out materials. I also had the bag upright the whole time, even carrying it in my lap on the way home in the car. The bag was set on my table when I got home. When I opened the bag the drink was sideways like it was too large for the cardboard carrier. They are not meant for such tall drinks. Maybe the company should consider sealing all drinks for take out orders in the future for safety? read more

Not only is their menu actually quite small compared to most, but I found their boba to be hard and not well prepared. Several were still crunchy, and they were still so sticky that most of them stuck to the bottom. The tea itself was ok- I got the standard. Nothing outstanding, but just fine. I visited because I saw that they had new Ube drinks. I got the Ube Black Tea with Taro Balls. This drink is awful. I seriously want my money back. It didn't look anything like the photos. The color was a dull purple. It was watery and tasted nothing of ube. I've had a lot of ube drinks recently and this one is the worst. Sip House, Coffeeholic both do much more amazing ube drinks for a similar price. TP Tea also released new taro drinks that were much better. I know ube and taro are not the same thing but I'm just using that for comparison since they're similar. I also got the strawberry jasmine green tea rock salt crema. Half the drink was ice and it had no green tea flavor. Even after 30 percent sweet, it was too sweet. Sorry, I'm done with Happy Lemon. It doesn't deserve the hype. read more

The cheese foam is delicious and thick, but I think I prefer Sharetea's creama series. Other than drinks, the bubble waffle is a popular add-on. Depending on the location, the bubble waffle is offered in original, chocolate, half & half, and matcha red bean. The bubble waffle is made to perfection with perfectly rounded bubbles, but it's not as chewy and soft as some others I've had. For me, Happy Lemon is overpriced for the size and charges extra for toppings. It's a popular and busy chain, but it's not my favorite. This particular location sits in a plaza on Southcenter Parkway in Tukwila, near Arashi Ramen. There is a large parking lot with several other businesses and restaurants. Used to really like Happy Lemon but my last few visits have been less than stellar. They seem to be constantly out of ingredients...from taro balls, to lychee jelly to crystal boba. I understand if it's an occasional issue, but the last several trips there left me really disappointed. They seem well staffed with 6+ employee, but they were just standing around last time I was there..couldn't they go in the back and cook another batch of taro balls? At roughly $6 per drink, it's enough to make you disappointed when you don't get what you want at that price point. You'd expect they would have better inventory control. They also need to improve on the wait time for their bubble waffles. If you order multiple bubble waffles, be ready to wait at least 15-20 mins.... especially if others before you that ordered the same. My drinks were melting by time the bubble waffles were ready. The matcha and red bean waffle was really bad. Definitely won't buy that again! Stick to the plain or half and half waffle. read more

One of my roommates went here and loved it, making my other roommate and I want to try it out when we made our way towards Seattle. The location that my friends and I went to is in the Parkway Village Southcenter in Tukwila. There's ample parking that won't ever be a problem. But the stalls are a bit narrow. I got the milk tea with taro balls with half sweetness. The milk tea itself was alright. I believe it was just the classic milk tea with addition of the taro balls. Nothing too spectacular. There wasn't much tea flavor which I preferred. But I liked how it wasn't too sweet! The taro balls were good! Loved how the texture and flavor it had. Next time I come, I'm definitely gonna try the avocado mango. I didn't see it the last time until my friends talked about it AFTER we left sad LOL. read more

MANGO+MATCHA?!? This is a combination I would not have guessed would taste so good together! I am a big fan of matcha so I thought why not try it out! It was the perfect drink to get to cool off from such a hot day! The consistency of the smoothie was on point being not too thick and not to liquid-y at all. The store wasn't busy so there was not wait at all. The only downside I'd say is the price. It cost about $7.50 for the drink and boba topping. I think boba drinks are just raising in price because I remember when they were only $5. At least the drink tasted good and it was a pretty big size! In total, it ended up being around $8, which was on the more expensive side for boba. The first thing that stood out to me was how pleasantly strong the ube flavor was. At other places, the ube flavor would be quite subtle, so it was nice that Happy Lemon did the opposite of this. The blended ube and crema top matched each other well and made the drink a nice creamy texture. The pudding was tasty too. It reminded me of the filling of an egg tart. read more
