You know, the kind where you want to just keep the discovery to yourself so no one else can find out....well that describes Surfside Properties to a tee! When we discovered them in 2018, we were trying to escape those raw, biting, icy cold, gray drizzly, never-see-the-sun-for-weeks-on-end upper Midwest winters. We were than and continue to be pleasantly surprised when we found Surfside Properties. We have rented three different properties on Pensacola Beach from them and have never been disappointed. The spectrum of outstanding properties can easily suit any of our needs. The whole Surfside experience, from their intuitive content rich web site, to the concierge class help from Lori and Sam...we've never been disappointed! We have access to thoughtfully furnished immaculately clean first class properties across the best locations on the beach. We always eagerly look forward to our return allowing us to enjoy peaceful, sun filled warm walks along the pristine, uncrowded white sand of Pensacola Beach January through April in our Surfside Side Properties enabled rejuvenating escape!

I notified them and made them aware of the situation and that her doctors did not authorize her for travel upon her release from the hospital. Stephanie said, well, that's too bad, you should have gotten trip insurance because we cannot refund your payment or push your reservation to another time. SO, if you are considering EVER using this company, know that they will NOT give you a refund of 100%....it will be 50%, doesn't even matter if it is for a DEATH in your family. They just do not care why OR about you. So, do not book with this company unless, a.) you get trip insurance OR b.) you have so much money that you don't care that you lose thousands of dollars. Note: At no point during the booking process was travel insurance mentioned, offered, or recommended--something that could have made a significant difference in how this was handled. Only after I requested a change due to my daughter's hospitalization was insurance brought up, which felt reactionary rather than proactive.

Communication was excellent! From the time we booked until the time we checked out. I had a few questions prior to our stay and they answered all of my question promptly and courteously. They kept us updated on everything that was going on in our building during our stay. In addition our WiFi went out late one night and I reached out to management and they responded and walked us through steps to help resolve the issue. They took really good care of us during our stay. Looking forward to staying here again!!

The property is clean but not impressive. The lobby restaurant is REALLY not worth your time. If H. & R. Block opened a restaurant, this would be the place! The workers use the elevators as if they owned the place. They'll get in the elevator and regardless of how many people are already on board, they'll push right past you and take charge of YOUR ride down to the lobby! I was most upset when I found out that was a MARRIOTT right next door and I could have used the points.

Immediately, I went to Publix and got bleach spray, Lysol, etc to clean and try to get rid of the mold. Three days after arriving, I started getting sick. By week 2, I was dizzy and naseous. Still could find the mold that smelled bad. Around 11pm one night a downstairs owner came asked us if we had a leak in our condo, and we told him no, but more than welcome to come in and look. Come to find out, it was the hvac system full of mold and a leak was coming from upstairs. I called the VACASA National number, txt'd them, and contacted them via Twitter. The very next day, we were moved to another building further away from the Emerald Isle. VACASA finally came through for us. It took 2 weeks to get over the mold illness. I did get 2 Covid tests and both were negative. Amazing at how sick u can get with mold. Emerald Isle is an older condo building but looks great. The do not have onsite security, so if there any incidents, you have to call the local sheriff. You need a code to get into parking lot, code to get in the bldg, and code to go from the pool gate to the beach, and code to get back into the pool from the beach. The 2 elevators needed to be cleaned daily and had a stuffy gym smell. It took a day or so to know that no matter which day of the week or what time of day, those elevators were slow. Carts on weekends are almost non existent. Very few handicap parking for a condo this size. It has 16 floors with 4 units on each floor. Emerald Isle is within walking distance to the hub of Pensacola Beach (approx 1/2 mile). After spending $12+ grand on a condo, I do not recommend Emerald Isle nor Unit 0903. Didn't come w beach chairs, and I knew that ahead of time. They did have a beach service that u could pay for. One good Thing about this unit: The kitchen had just about everything u would need or want. Too bad the mold ruined our trip. I only got to the beach twice and no tan to show for our yearly Florida trip. Some advice when renting a vacation spot: - Don't pay all of it up front.  Pay the required down payment and pay a little each month till the required payment in full date. - Many last minute cancellations in 2020 and 2021. Some owners were caught cancelling, then re-listing at much higher rate. - In 2020, due to the pandemic, we had to cancel a month long trip through 5 states. One rental refused to give us a refund. Filed a complaint through the state, DA, city, and mayor. The mayor of Red RiverNM got us our money back. - Before you unpack your luggage, please inspect the unit/home thoroughly. Take pictures of the things that do not meet your approval. Inspect your HVAC system and air vents Email or txt those pics to the rental agency, and ensure they respond to your satisfaction. -Make sure you have a 24/7 number to call when there are problems w the rental

Furniture has missing knobs and badly worn and scratched. The washing machine smelled of mold and dirt and completely covered whites in black kunk. Had to use laundry across the street for clothez. The master bed has a horrible mattress old and lumpy. Very little storage and skimpy supplies. Bring what you need. You would not feel comfortable entertaining anyone here. The parking permit and passcode is a nightmare. I still have not received confirmation of being permitted. Three different entities controlling codes for you to enter. Gate code, Parking permit and code and Unit access. The HOA and Management company was unavailable of course over the weekend 5 days into my stay I received a call . They credited me 552$ about 1/4 this was better than nothing . They were nice enough but there is no following up ir cleaning going on ..it is disturbing.

The beaches are absolutely beautiful, so much sunshine, and an over abundance of the freshest seafood anywhere. When I visit, I prefer to be as close to the ocean as possible. Hampton Inn fit the bill. The lobby is warm bright and welcoming. Every front desk team member is hospitable and helpful. The common areas are comfortable and cozy. The outdoor patio is perfect for breakfast or a rally point for meeting up throughout the day. The hotel offers a substantial complimentary breakfast every morning. The menu changes daily but the DIY waffle station is always available. The coffee bar is open 24/7. We had a room on the first floor overlooking the pool. The room is large with high ceilings. We had two queen beds and a small loveseat. I must note, this was one of the most comfortable Hilton beds I've ever slept in. Usually the pillows are not comfortable, but I slept well every night and every afternoon for a midday siesta. In room amenities included a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a cupboard with shelving to keep snacks and supplies organized. There's a small closet too small to be of much use. The bathroom is clean with a tub and shower. They offer the standard Hilton linens which were clean and comfortable. The bathroom has plenty of hooks for towels. There's also wall hooks in the room for towels etc. It is nice to be able to keep things tidy and have dry bathing suits. The BEST feature of this hotel is the pool access. The hotel offers two smaller pools. The deck contains a few loungers, chairs, and umbrellas. I recommend upgrading your stay and opting for the VIP access bracelet. This is an additional $20 per person for your entire stay. Kids 12 and under are free. This will give you access to the pools at: Fairfield Pensacola Beach, Holiday Inn Resort, Hilton Pensacola Beach, and Surf and Sand Hotel. The pass also includes bike, paddle board, and kayak usage at Surf and Sand. The pool not your thing? My favorite pool is the Fairfield pool. You'll have to check it out for yourself. The hotel has direct beach access. There are showers for rinsing off all the sand and salt water acquired during the day. There is a rental company for chair and umbrella day rentals. They will set up and tear down everything at the end of the day. I found the prices to be fairly reasonable. I highly recommend this hotel for families. This has all the amenities you need when traveling with children. My children are much older, but this would have been an ideal place when they were small. I did use the laundry facilities during our stay. I have made a point of not lugging dirty laundry back home with me. We also made use of the fitness center. This was a great place and made for a wonderful vacation.

She , literally, rolled her eyes and continued to the end of her speech at which time I had a room key and a pink square of paper with numbers on it that I had no idea was for. Not a great first impression. Fortunately this was a one off experience and the remainder of our stay was perfect. The resort is beautiful. The pool area was great. Our room was generously sized and very well appointed. (I still recommend all nice hotels stop buying those packets for the coffee maker with powdered creamer and that horrible pink stuff for sweetener. You're better than that.) The staff, no matter who or where we bumped into them, was friendly, engaging, and helpful. Housekeeping, maintenance, lobby, bars, food service. 100% awesome. The food and drinks in the lobby bar were amazing. We ate there several times because we couldn't think of a good reason to go anywhere else and fight the crowds and traffic for lesser food. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.
